Lena is an education and innovation leader known for connecting diverse stakeholders to co-create high-value educational programming related to life-long learning and technology. She has seven years of experience in Ontario post-secondary education developing internal and external partnerships to design and deliver professional learning programs, open education initiatives, province wide micro-credential initiatives, student experience design, and teaching with educational technology programming. Lena also has eight years of experience working in public sector organizations and alongside government at the provincial and federal level. She has been recognized internationally as an educational leader through elected and appointedBoard of Director positions. She currently serves as President of the Board of Open Education Global, a global, members based non-profit organization supporting the development and use of open education around the world. Lena has a BA and an MA in English Literature and is currently a doctoral candidate at Western University in educational leadership, with a focus on innovative learning organizations.
