Dr. Pernille Bjørn research interest is to investigate the basic nature of collaborative work with the aim of designing collaborative technologies – her main research area is Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW). Since 2002 Dr. Bjørn has explored CSCW research agendas within different domain such as Healthcare (Emergency Departments in Vancouver, Canada; Heart Centers in Copenhagen, Denmark; Oncology departments, Herlev, Denmark); Global software development (including work conditions in India and Philippines); Start-up companies (Palestinian start-up; Blockchain start-ups); and she is currently involved in exploring new ways to include digital fabrication for collaborative technologies related to Maker communities, Makerspaces, and inclusive technologies (UCPH Makerspace, FemTech).
