David Gyarmati is the President and CEO of the Social Research and Demonstration Corporation (SRDC). He has been contributing to social policy and labour market research and evaluation in Canada for more than 25 years including two decades of pioneering work with SRDC in the design, implementation and evaluation of large-scale demonstration projects. This includes a number of ground-breaking pan-Canadian studies measuring the economic and social impacts of workplace training, skills development and adult learning initiatives. Mr. Gyarmati has also contributed widely to development and application of various competency frameworks and performance measurement tools in Canadian contexts including Canada’s new Skills for Success model. In addition to workforce development, David has authored studies on a range of other pressing policy issues including poverty, income security, and programming that supports Canadians who face systemic disadvantage. Mr. Gyarmati completed a Master of Arts in Economics at the University of British Columbia specializing in labour economics and applied econometrics.
