Early childhood education training lab
Even before the increased demand brought on by the Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care agreements, early childhood educators (ECEs) were increasingly being called on to obtain more skills and credentials, without a parallel increase in wages, benefits, or improvements in working conditions. If wages and working conditions do not improve, there is concern that there will not be enough qualified ECEs to implement the national program.

Diversity in leadership at S&P/TSX companies
This report assesses the state of diversity in leadership roles in corporate Canada, focusing on TSX firms and representation of equity-deserving groups (women, Black individuals and racialized individuals) from 2015 to 2022. The study encompasses 783 firms on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX), including 235 on the S&P/TSX Composite Index.

A Program for Young Moms in Northern Manitoba
Career Trek launched the “M-Power North” Program to support young mothers between the ages of 15 and 25 in Northern Manitoba. The program provides hands-on, experiential lessons, spanning a number of sectors including trades, technology, natural resources, STEM and healthcare.
