Big things are happening at the Future Skills Centre (FSC), and it all starts with our people. Over the past year, we’ve welcomed new colleagues and celebrated some familiar faces stepping into exciting new roles. These changes reflect more than just growth, they speak to the momentum building within FSC as we continue to push forward on our mission to shape a future-focused skills ecosystem across Canada.

The Future Skills Centre (FSC) is pleased to announce the addition of new evaluation and learning partners. Selected through an open call in March 2025, these organizations will work closely with pilot projects to co-develop robust evaluation frameworks and assess impact, ensuring that Canada’s skills development ecosystem is guided by strong, evidence-based insights.

The Future Skills Centre (FSC) has launched the Resilient Workforce Working Table, a pan-Canadian initiative bringing together skills development experts, employer and labour representatives, and policy leaders to develop actionable, evidence-based recommendations that will help Canada’s workforce adapt to growing economic and labour market disruption.

Last month, the Future Skills Centre (FSC) joined Canada’s Building Trades Unions (CBTU) and SkillPlan to co-host a site visit at IBEW Local 353 in Mississauga. We were honoured to welcome the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Jobs and Families and FedNor, along with senior leaders from Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).
