Courtney’s prior experience includes administrative and coordinator roles in other post-secondary institutions, including the University of Toronto, Simon Fraser University, and the University of Tasmania. She also previously worked at Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada, where she provided administrative support to Canada’s role in the Independent Assessment Process for survivors of residential schools. Courtney also works on freelance editing projects and is a research assistant for a U of T international research collaboration studying state building and road building in Nepal. She has an Master of Arts in Human Geography with a Collaborative Specialization in Development Policy and Power from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Geography (minors in English and French) and a Certificate in Editing from Simon Fraser University.
