On October 27, 2025, the School of Public Policy and the Institute for Research on Public Policy will co-host a half-day conference at McGill University’s Faculty Club in Montréal. The program will bring together leaders from policy, business, and academia to examine Canada’s productivity challenges, focusing on skills, labour markets, immigration, and innovation.
In the afternoon, a Skills and Education panel will explore how education and training systems can better align with labour market needs and address emerging skills gaps. FSC’s Dr. Tricia Williams will be joining the conversation, bringing her perspective to this important dialogue.
This event is part of Canada’s Productivity Initiative, which connects research, stakeholders, and decision-makers to strengthen the foundation for long-term growth.
