Cet organisme, ardent d\u00e9fenseur de la justice sociale, se voue, par ses investissements et les subventions qu\u2019il prodigue, \u00e0 la r\u00e9duction des in\u00e9galit\u00e9s des revenus et de la richesse en renfor\u00e7ant les mouvements en faveur des emplois d\u00e9cents et d\u2019une \u00e9conomie \u00e9quitable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avant de travailler pour l\u2019Atkinson Foundation, M<sup>me<\/sup>&nbsp;Murphy a occup\u00e9 des postes de haut niveau \u00e0 la Metcalf Foundation et \u00e0 Centraide Toronto. Elle a aussi contribu\u00e9 en arri\u00e8re-plan \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9laboration de politiques sociales et \u00e9conomiques novatrices, \u00e0 la lutte contre le racisme et \u00e0 des initiatives de d\u00e9veloppement du leadership. Canadienne \u00e9lev\u00e9e aux \u00c9tats-Unis, elle a d\u2019abord \u0153uvr\u00e9 dans des camps de r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au fil du temps, M<sup>me<\/sup>&nbsp;Murphy s\u2019est distingu\u00e9e en tant que leader philanthropique gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 travailler efficacement avec de multiples paliers de gouvernement, divers intervenants et les mouvements populaires pour enclencher un changement syst\u00e9mique. D\u00e9fenseure respect\u00e9e de l\u2019approvisionnement social, du perfectionnement de la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre et d\u2019autres strat\u00e9gies de d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomique \u00e9quitable, elle a collabor\u00e9 \u00e0 mobiliser des milliards de dollars en fonds publics pour l\u2019am\u00e9lioration des infrastructures. \u00c0 ce jour, ces travaux ont permis de r\u00e9aliser des projets sur le terrain d\u2019une valeur de plus de 37&nbsp;milliards de dollars et d\u2019\u00e9tablir de nouveaux cadres l\u00e9gislatifs, r\u00e9glementaires et politiques. M<sup>me<\/sup>&nbsp;Murphy a \u00e9galement cofond\u00e9 Power Lab, une initiative phare d\u2019apprentissage et d\u2019innovation dont l\u2019objectif est de donner aux communaut\u00e9s historiquement exclues et aspirant \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 davantage de pouvoir \u00e9conomique et d\u00e9mocratique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 l\u2019heure actuelle, M<sup>me<\/sup>&nbsp;Murphy si\u00e8ge au conseil d\u2019administration des organismes Shareholder Association for Research and Education et Fondations philanthropiques Canada.
