Bien que les peuples autochtones affichent la plus forte croissance d\u00e9mographique au Canada, ils demeurent sous-repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s sur le march\u00e9 du travail, en particulier dans les postes de niveau interm\u00e9diaire et de direction, et se heurtent \u00e0 de plus grands obstacles au sein du syst\u00e8me d&#8217;\u00e9ducation que le reste de la population. Si les difficult\u00e9s d\u2019acc\u00e8s au march\u00e9 du travail et la discrimination en milieu de travail sont amplement document\u00e9es par la recherche, on en sait moins sur les exp\u00e9riences et les perspectives actuelles des peuples autochtones dans leur milieu professionnel. Le pr\u00e9sent rapport vise \u00e0 combler cette lacune en r\u00e9pondant \u00e0 la question de recherche suivante : En quoi les exp\u00e9riences des peuples autochtones en milieu de travail diff\u00e8rent-elles de celles de l\u2019ensemble de la population ?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">Bien que le taux de scolarit\u00e9 officielle des peuples autochtones soit moins \u00e9lev\u00e9, en particulier au niveau postsecondaire, et qu\u2019ils fassent face \u00e0 une discrimination syst\u00e9mique importante, ces derniers se disent plus satisfaits de leur emploi, b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient de plus de formations et affichent une plus grande familiarit\u00e9 avec l\u2019IA que les r\u00e9pondants non autochtones. Ce rapport d\u00e9montre de quelle mani\u00e8re les barri\u00e8res structurelles, notamment la discrimination, l\u2019instabilit\u00e9 d&#8217;emploi et la fragilisation de la sant\u00e9 mentale, se conjuguent avec un degr\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9 de satisfaction professionnelle, d&#8217;optimisme, de participation \u00e0 la formation et d&#8217;adoption des technologies \u00e9mergentes. Les donn\u00e9es de cette derni\u00e8re enqu\u00eate sur l\u2019emploi et les comp\u00e9tences confirment les conclusions de recherches ant\u00e9rieures sur l\u2019importance de jumeler le bien-\u00eatre \u00e0 l\u2019emploi et au d\u00e9veloppement des comp\u00e9tences. Parmi les personnes ayant suivi une formation, les Autochtones sont plus susceptibles de d\u00e9clarer une augmentation de salaire subs\u00e9quente que les non-Autochtones (58&nbsp;% contre 38&nbsp;%). Les peuples autochtones ont \u00e9galement indiqu\u00e9 que leur formation s\u2019\u00e9tait traduite par une promotion \u00e0 un taux presque deux fois sup\u00e9rieur \u00e0 celui des participants non autochtones (51&nbsp;% contre 27&nbsp;%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px; margin-right: 16px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No-1.svg\" alt=\"\">La proportion d\u2019Autochtones ayant d\u00e9clar\u00e9 \u00eatre \u00ab tr\u00e8s familiers \u00bb avec les programmes d\u2019IA en milieu de travail \u00e9tait presque deux fois plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e que celle des employ\u00e9s non autochtones (32&nbsp;% contre 17&nbsp;%). De plus, la proportion de participants autochtones affirmant que l\u2019IA les rendait \u00ab beaucoup plus productifs \u00bb \u00e9tait nettement sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle de leurs homologues non autochtones (46&nbsp;% contre 30&nbsp;%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px; margin-right: 16px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No-2.svg\" alt=\"\">La satisfaction professionnelle s&#8217;est r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9e plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e chez les Autochtones, 44&nbsp;% d\u2019entre eux se disant \u00ab tr\u00e8s satisfaits \u00bb de leur emploi actuel, contre seulement 30&nbsp;% chez les participants non autochtones. En adoptant une approche ax\u00e9e sur la diversit\u00e9 et l&#8217;intersectionnalit\u00e9, ce rapport examine les exp\u00e9riences v\u00e9cues dans les domaines de l&#8217;emploi, de la formation, de l&#8217;utilisation de l&#8217;IA au travail et de la discrimination au travail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce rapport s&#8217;appuie sur <a href=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/fr\/recherche\/sondage-sur-lemploi-et-les-competences\/\">l\u2019Enqu\u00eate nationale sur les comp\u00e9tences et l\u2019emploi<\/a>. Les donn\u00e9es ont \u00e9t\u00e9 recueillies au d\u00e9but de 2025 dans le cadre de la 8e vague de l\u2019enqu\u00eate, men\u00e9e en collaboration par l\u2019Environics Institute, l\u2019Institut de la diversit\u00e9, l\u2019Universit\u00e9 m\u00e9tropolitaine de Toronto et le Centre des Comp\u00e9tences futures. Parmi les r\u00e9pondants pond\u00e9r\u00e9s \u00e0 l&#8217;enqu\u00eate, 5,1 % se sont identifi\u00e9s comme autochtones (n = 281), dont 189 membres des Premi\u00e8res Nations (3,4 %), 61 M\u00e9tis (1,1 %), 14 Inuits (0,2 %) et 17 autres ou n&#8217;ayant pas souhait\u00e9 pr\u00e9ciser leur appartenance (0,3 %). Cet ensemble de donn\u00e9es est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme repr\u00e9sentatif tant des peuples autochtones que de l&#8217;ensemble de la population canadienne.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"what-were-learning\" class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-anchor-point\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column gradient-top purple is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"TheResult\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-240819\" style=\"width: 24px;height: 24px;margin-right: 10px;position: relative; top: -2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Fill-1-1.svg\" alt=\"\"> Ce que nous apprenons<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Les donn\u00e9es analys\u00e9es dans ce rapport mettent en \u00e9vidence les atouts et les d\u00e9fis persistants auxquels sont confront\u00e9s les peuples autochtones sur le march\u00e9 du travail. Leur recherche d&#8217;opportunit\u00e9s de formation professionnelle et leur utilisation des technologies sur leur lieu de travail t\u00e9moignent d&#8217;une approche proactive en mati\u00e8re de d\u00e9veloppement des comp\u00e9tences et d&#8217;adaptabilit\u00e9. Parall\u00e8lement, des d\u00e9fis et des obstacles persistent, ce qui rend essentielle la mise en place de mesures de soutien \u00e0 l&#8217;int\u00e9gration au march\u00e9 du travail et l\u2019adoption de changements syst\u00e9miques pour lutter contre la discrimination.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;enqu\u00eate a mis en \u00e9vidence des diff\u00e9rences entre les r\u00e9pondants autochtones et non autochtones sur le plan de la scolarit\u00e9. Par exemple, 53&nbsp;% des r\u00e9pondants autochtones avaient un niveau d&#8217;\u00e9tudes \u00e9quivalent au lyc\u00e9e ou inf\u00e9rieur, contre 19&nbsp;% des r\u00e9pondants non autochtones. Parmi les r\u00e9pondants autochtones, 19&nbsp;% avaient suivi une formation en apprentissage ou dans un m\u00e9tier, contre 9&nbsp;% chez les r\u00e9pondants non autochtones, mais seuls 29&nbsp;% avaient suivi des \u00e9tudes sup\u00e9rieures, contre 62&nbsp;% chez les r\u00e9pondants non autochtones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Par rapport aux groupes racialis\u00e9s, les peuples autochtones ont fait \u00e9tat de taux de discrimination plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s que les r\u00e9pondants d&#8217;origine chinoise, mais inf\u00e9rieurs \u00e0 ceux des personnes d&#8217;origine sud-asiatique ou des personnes noires. Les exp\u00e9riences en mati\u00e8re de discrimination sur le lieu de travail variaient d&#8217;un peuple autochtone \u00e0 l&#8217;autre. Des taux de discrimination plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s ont \u00e9t\u00e9 signal\u00e9s par les personnes s\u2019identifiant comme Premi\u00e8res Nations (46&nbsp;%) ainsi que par les r\u00e9pondants de la tranche d\u2019\u00e2ge la plus jeune, soit les 18 \u00e0 34 ans (45&nbsp;%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 ces difficult\u00e9s, les peuples autochtones ont fait \u00e9tat d\u2019un optimisme plus marqu\u00e9 que la population non autochtone.&nbsp; M\u00eame si les populations autochtones s\u2019av\u00e8rent plus susceptibles d\u2019\u00eatre au ch\u00f4mage que les non-Autochtones, elles s\u2019av\u00e8rent nettement plus optimistes quant aux perspectives d\u2019embauche actuelles (42&nbsp;% contre 25&nbsp;%), ce qui t\u00e9moigne d\u2019une confiance envers le march\u00e9 du travail malgr\u00e9 des d\u00e9fis persistants en mati\u00e8re d\u2019emploi. Invit\u00e9s \u00e0 se prononcer sur la direction g\u00e9n\u00e9rale du pays, 43&nbsp;% des r\u00e9pondants autochtones se sont dits satisfaits de la situation actuelle au Canada, comparativement \u00e0 seulement 31&nbsp;% pour la population non autochtone. Les r\u00e9pondants autochtones se sont \u00e9galement montr\u00e9s plus optimistes quant \u00e0 leur situation financi\u00e8re pour les six prochains mois (42&nbsp;% contre 23&nbsp;%), ce qui traduit de plus grandes attentes d\u2019am\u00e9lioration \u00e9conomique malgr\u00e9 les disparit\u00e9s en mati\u00e8re d\u2019emploi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les r\u00e9pondants autochtones sont plus susceptibles de d\u00e9clarer \u00eatre en bonne sant\u00e9 physique (47&nbsp;%) que leurs homologues non autochtones (37&nbsp;%), bien que l&#8217;on observe des disparit\u00e9s entre les genres (61&nbsp;% chez les hommes contre 40&nbsp;% chez les femmes). Cependant, les r\u00e9pondants autochtones font \u00e9tat d\u2019une sant\u00e9 mentale globale moins bonne que celle des non-Autochtones. Bien que 18,1&nbsp;% des r\u00e9pondants autochtones qualifient leur sant\u00e9 mentale d\u2019excellente (contre 14,6&nbsp;% pour les non-Autochtones), une proportion plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e la consid\u00e8re comme passable ou mauvaise (36,3&nbsp;% contre 27,6&nbsp;%), ce qui met en relief des d\u00e9fis accrus sur le plan de la sant\u00e9 mentale globale. Les r\u00e9pondants autochtones signalent \u00e9galement des sympt\u00f4mes plus fr\u00e9quents de d\u00e9pression (41&nbsp;% contre 25&nbsp;%), d\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 (37&nbsp;% contre 32&nbsp;%) et d\u2019isolement (38&nbsp;% contre 25&nbsp;%) trois jours ou plus par semaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La satisfaction professionnelle semblait \u00e9galement plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e chez les Autochtones, 44 % d&#8217;entre eux se d\u00e9clarant \u00ab tr\u00e8s satisfaits \u00bb de leur emploi actuel, contre seulement 30 % de la population non autochtone. Bien que les disparit\u00e9s en mati\u00e8re de scolarit\u00e9 et les exp\u00e9riences document\u00e9es de discrimination syst\u00e9mique envers les Autochtones soient amplement d\u00e9montr\u00e9es par la recherche, les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s des peuples autochtones en milieu de travail demeurent moins document\u00e9es, notamment en ce qui a trait \u00e0 leur participation \u00e0 la formation, \u00e0 l&#8217;adoption des technologies, \u00e0 leur satisfaction professionnelle et \u00e0 leurs perceptions des conditions du march\u00e9 du travail. Les conclusions de ce rapport indiquent que, malgr\u00e9 un taux de ch\u00f4mage plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 et une exposition continue \u00e0 la discrimination, les r\u00e9pondants autochtones font \u00e9tat d\u2019un niveau relativement \u00e9lev\u00e9 de satisfaction professionnelle, d\u2019une forte participation aux formations offertes par l\u2019employeur et d\u2019un plus grand optimisme quant aux perspectives d\u2019emploi actuelles. Parall\u00e8lement, les indicateurs de sant\u00e9 mentale, notamment la hausse des signalements de d\u00e9pression, d\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 et d\u2019isolement, d\u00e9montrent qu\u2019un engagement professionnel positif n\u2019\u00e9limine pas pour autant les d\u00e9fis structurels et les probl\u00e8mes de bien-\u00eatre plus larges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adoptant une approche ax\u00e9e sur la diversit\u00e9 et l\u2019intersectionnalit\u00e9, ce rapport examine les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s v\u00e9cues en mati\u00e8re d\u2019emploi, de formation, d\u2019utilisation de l\u2019IA et de discrimination au travail. Les organisations devraient \u00e9galement d\u00e9finir des crit\u00e8res de promotion transparents et suivre les r\u00e9sultats en mati\u00e8re d&#8217;avancement afin de garantir un acc\u00e8s \u00e9quitable aux perspectives de carri\u00e8re et aux parcours de direction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Des obstacles \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9ducation persistent \u00e0 tous les niveaux, ce qui souligne la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de renforcer les mesures de soutien destin\u00e9es \u00e0 faciliter l&#8217;acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9ducation des jeunes autochtones, en particulier des femmes. Ces mesures de soutien devraient inclure des parcours cibl\u00e9s vers les m\u00e9tiers sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s, l&#8217;enseignement sup\u00e9rieur et les secteurs des technologies \u00e9mergentes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mettre en place davantage d&#8217;opportunit\u00e9s de mentorat pour les jeunes et les travailleurs autochtones afin de les aider \u00e0 \u00e9largir leurs r\u00e9seaux professionnels et \u00e0 am\u00e9liorer leurs perspectives professionnelles. Les programmes de mentorat devraient favoriser l&#8217;\u00e9volution de carri\u00e8re, l&#8217;augmentation des revenus et l&#8217;acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des postes \u00e0 responsabilit\u00e9.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Poursuivre le soutien apport\u00e9 \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 mentale et physique des peuples autochtones afin de leur garantir des moyens de surmonter les obstacles et la discrimination auxquels ils sont confront\u00e9s. Ces mesures de soutien doivent \u00eatre culturellement adapt\u00e9es et ax\u00e9es sur les traumatismes, en reconnaissant l\u2019intersectionnalit\u00e9 entre la discrimination en milieu de travail, la pr\u00e9carit\u00e9 de l\u2019emploi, les indicateurs de sant\u00e9 et les r\u00e9percussions interg\u00e9n\u00e9rationnelles des pensionnats autochtones.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Une analyse comparative entre les genres et ax\u00e9e sur la diversit\u00e9 est n\u00e9cessaire pour r\u00e9pondre aux diff\u00e9rents besoins des peuples autochtones. Les approches intersectionnelles et fond\u00e9es sur les distinctions doivent prendre en compte les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s propres aux genres, aux tranches d\u2019\u00e2ge et aux communaut\u00e9s des
