repr\u00e9sentent la majeure partie des emplois du secteur priv\u00e9 au Canada, avec un taux atteignant 88,2&nbsp;% en 2021. Malgr\u00e9 leur r\u00f4le essentiel dans l\u2019\u00e9conomie, les PME sont confront\u00e9es \u00e0 des p\u00e9nuries persistantes de main-d\u2019\u0153uvre et de comp\u00e9tences, ce qui limite leur capacit\u00e9 de croissance. Si les propri\u00e9taires et dirigeants de PME reconnaissent largement l\u2019importance d\u2019investir dans la formation et la fid\u00e9lisation de leur personnel, beaucoup ne disposent pas des ressources n\u00e9cessaires pour combler ces lacunes de mani\u00e8re ad\u00e9quate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La p\u00e9nurie de main-d\u2019\u0153uvre et de comp\u00e9tences peut avoir des r\u00e9percussions n\u00e9gatives sur les entreprises \u00e0 plusieurs \u00e9gards, notamment sur leur tr\u00e9sorerie, la r\u00e9partition de leur temps et leur planification future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">Dans le cadre de cette \u00e9tude, nous avons interrog\u00e9 par t\u00e9l\u00e9phone 1\u2009700\u00a0dirigeants et propri\u00e9taires de PME. Ainsi, nos recherches s\u2019appuient sur des exp\u00e9riences de premi\u00e8re main afin de mieux comprendre les d\u00e9fis sp\u00e9cifiques li\u00e9s \u00e0 la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre auxquels sont confront\u00e9es les PME. Nous nous int\u00e9ressons \u00e0 la mani\u00e8re dont les pressions contemporaines, notamment l\u2019adoption de l\u2019IA et l\u2019imposition de droits de douane am\u00e9ricains sur les exportations canadiennes, fa\u00e7onnent les besoins en comp\u00e9tences, les pratiques en mati\u00e8re d\u2019emploi, ainsi que les performances et les capacit\u00e9s des organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group key-insights-grey has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"background-color:#0000000d\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Perspectives cl\u00e9s<\/strong><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px;margin-right: 16px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No.svg\" alt=\"\">Environ 28\u00a0% des PME interrog\u00e9es ont rencontr\u00e9 des difficult\u00e9s pour pourvoir des postes vacants au cours des six derniers mois. Un tiers d\u2019entre eux attribuent ces difficult\u00e9s au manque de comp\u00e9tences des personnes \u00e0 la recherche d\u2019un emploi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px; margin-right: 16px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No-1.svg\" alt=\"\">Environ 30\u00a0% des personnes interrog\u00e9es ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que leur entreprise utilisait l\u2019IA d\u2019une mani\u00e8re ou d\u2019une autre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px; margin-right: 16px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No-2.svg\" alt=\"\">Parmi les r\u00e9pondants dont les entreprises exportent, 66\u00a0% ont indiqu\u00e9 que les droits de douane impos\u00e9s au Canada auraient un impact n\u00e9gatif sur leurs activit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"the-issue\" class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-anchor-point\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column gradient-top purple is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"TheChallenge\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-240812\" style=\"width: 12px;height: 24px;margin-right: 10px;position: relative; top: -2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Vector-2.svg\" alt=\"\"> L\u2019enjeu<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group flex-print is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>La stagnation \u00e9conomique a caract\u00e9ris\u00e9 les derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies au Canada, alors que le pays prenait du retard par rapport aux autres \u00e9conomies avanc\u00e9es en mati\u00e8re de gains de productivit\u00e9 du travail. Malgr\u00e9 la nature persistante de ce probl\u00e8me, les d\u00e9cideurs politiques restent divis\u00e9s quant \u00e0 ses causes principales et \u00e0 la meilleure fa\u00e7on de parvenir \u00e0 une \u00e9conomie plus r\u00e9siliente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les PME sont le moteur de l\u2019\u00e9conomie canadienne. Elles repr\u00e9sentent la majorit\u00e9 des emplois dans le secteur priv\u00e9. Environ 7,8&nbsp;millions de personnes sont employ\u00e9es par des PME du secteur priv\u00e9 au Canada, ce qui repr\u00e9sente 64&nbsp;% des emplois du secteur priv\u00e9. Le Canada compte une proportion nettement plus importante de PME et d\u2019emplois dans les PME que les autres \u00e9conomies avanc\u00e9es\u2009; par cons\u00e9quent, le succ\u00e8s de l\u2019\u00e9conomie canadienne d\u00e9pend en grande partie du succ\u00e8s de ses petites entreprises. Pourtant, les petites entreprises sont souvent n\u00e9glig\u00e9es dans les strat\u00e9gies de d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomique, d\u2019innovation et de durabilit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 leur r\u00f4le essentiel dans l\u2019\u00e9conomie, les PME sont confront\u00e9es \u00e0 des p\u00e9nuries persistantes de main-d\u2019\u0153uvre et de comp\u00e9tences, ce qui limite leur capacit\u00e9 de croissance. De plus, les chercheurs ont recueilli des donn\u00e9es limit\u00e9es sur les pratiques actuelles des PME en mati\u00e8re d\u2019embauche ou d\u2019adoption de technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Des recherches ant\u00e9rieures ont sugg\u00e9r\u00e9 que les PME d\u00e9pendent excessivement des pratiques de recrutement traditionnelles et informelles et ont un faible taux d\u2019adoption des outils num\u00e9riques et de l\u2019IA, en particulier dans la gestion des ressources humaines. Les diff\u00e9rences r\u00e9gionales en mati\u00e8re de difficult\u00e9s de recrutement soulignent&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de mettre en place des mesures adapt\u00e9es \u00e0 chaque r\u00e9gion afin de favoriser une croissance \u00e9conomique \u00e9quitable dans tout le pays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nos conclusions corroborent largement les enqu\u00eates pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes men\u00e9es aupr\u00e8s des employeurs concernant les d\u00e9fis li\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019embauche, les strat\u00e9gies de recrutement et les pratiques en mati\u00e8re de ressources humaines. Une contribution majeure de notre \u00e9tude consiste \u00e0 combler une lacune dans la litt\u00e9rature concernant l\u2019utilisation de l\u2019IA dans les pratiques d\u2019embauche au sein des PME.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans l\u2019ensemble, seuls 4\u00a0% des employeurs interrog\u00e9s ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 utiliser des outils num\u00e9riques, notamment les annonces d\u2019emploi en ligne, les logiciels d\u2019analyse de CV et les plateformes de recherche de candidats, dans le cadre de leurs pratiques en mati\u00e8re de ressources humaines. Ces outils offrent plusieurs avantages, notamment des \u00e9conomies, une efficacit\u00e9 accrue, une plus grande port\u00e9e, un meilleur filtrage des candidats et une r\u00e9duction du risque de pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s inconscients. En s\u2019appuyant sur des pratiques d\u2019embauche traditionnelles, les entreprises peuvent involontairement limiter leur acc\u00e8s \u00e0 un vivier plus large et plus diversifi\u00e9 de candidats potentiels. En fait, parmi les entreprises qui ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 avoir rencontr\u00e9 des difficult\u00e9s de recrutement, les r\u00e9pondants ont souvent attribu\u00e9 ces difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 la difficult\u00e9 d\u2019attirer des candidats qualifi\u00e9s.
