Cette question suscite souvent une grande anxi\u00e9t\u00e9, mais il est trop t\u00f4t pour pr\u00e9dire la <em>port\u00e9e<\/em> et l\u2019intensit\u00e9 de l\u2019impact de l\u2019IA sur la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre du Canada. Cependant, il est clair que l\u2019IA est de plus en plus utilis\u00e9e sur le lieu de travail. Entre 2021 et 2023, <a href=\"https:\/\/www150.statcan.gc.ca\/n1\/daily-quotidien\/240917\/dq240917c-fra.htm\">l\u2019adoption par les entreprises canadiennes a augment\u00e9<\/a>, de 3,7&nbsp;p.&nbsp;100 \u00e0 6,8&nbsp;p.&nbsp;100, en particulier parmi les plus grandes d\u2019entre elles. Les d\u00e9cideurs politiques doivent donc veiller attentivement \u00e0 ce que les travailleurs disposent des bonnes comp\u00e9tences de base pour r\u00e9sister aux perturbations technologiques.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La derni\u00e8re vague de technologies d\u2019IA, une cat\u00e9gorie de mod\u00e8les appel\u00e9s \u00ab&nbsp;transformeurs g\u00e9n\u00e9ratifs pr\u00e9entra\u00een\u00e9s&nbsp;\u00bb (GPT), a chang\u00e9 le discours sur l\u2019IA. Le 30&nbsp;novembre&nbsp;2022, OpenAI a lanc\u00e9 ChatGPT3, le premier produit pour les consommateurs \u00e0 op\u00e9rationnaliser les grands mod\u00e8les de langage (GML). Cet outil a rapidement suscit\u00e9 un large int\u00e9r\u00eat, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/technology\/chatgpt-sets-record-fastest-growing-user-base-analyst-note-2023-02-01\/.\">atteignant 100&nbsp;millions d\u2019utilisateurs en seulement deux mois<\/a>. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 lui, l\u2019IA peut compl\u00e9ter (ou assister) un travailleur, plut\u00f4t que simplement remplacer une partie pr\u00e9cise de son travail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019adoption de l\u2019IA au Canada s\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e8re, alors que son taux a presque doubl\u00e9 au sein des entreprises entre 2021 et 2023. Cependant, ses effets sur la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre restent complexes. Les outils d\u2019IA g\u00e9n\u00e9rative, comme ChatGPT, ont d\u00e9tourn\u00e9 l\u2019attention de l\u2019automatisation pour la concentrer sur l\u2019augmentation, contribuant au travail humain au lieu de le remplacer. Ce changement soul\u00e8ve des questions essentielles \u00e0 propos des comp\u00e9tences requises pour s\u2019\u00e9panouir sur un lieu de travail int\u00e9grant l\u2019IA, et des politiques n\u00e9cessaires pour prot\u00e9ger les travailleurs occupant des postes vuln\u00e9rables \u00e0 l\u2019automatisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le march\u00e9 du travail canadien, qui comprend 18&nbsp;millions de personnes, se trouve \u00e0 un moment d\u00e9cisif. Les avanc\u00e9es technologies promettent des gains de productivit\u00e9, mais elles pr\u00e9sentent aussi des risques de remplacement et de polarisation des emplois, en particulier si ces derniers sont moyennement qualifi\u00e9s et routiniers. Voici ses questions de recherche cl\u00e9s&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Quelles professions sont les plus expos\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019IA et comment cette derni\u00e8re compl\u00e8te-t-elle ou automatise-t-elle certaines t\u00e2ches aux postes concern\u00e9s?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comment les employeurs adaptent-ils leurs pratiques d\u2019embauche en r\u00e9action \u00e0 l\u2019adoption de l\u2019IA?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quelles comp\u00e9tences sont de plus en plus demand\u00e9es et comment varient-elles selon l\u2019exposition \u00e0 l\u2019IA?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Utilisant des cadres \u00e9labor\u00e9s par Statistique Canada et le FMI, l\u2019\u00e9tude a analys\u00e9 l\u2019impact de l\u2019IA par le biais d\u2019indices de d\u2019exposition professionnelle et de compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour r\u00e9aliser cette premi\u00e8re \u00e9tude en son genre au Canada, nous utilisons un cadre analytique qui nous permet de cat\u00e9goriser les professions canadiennes selon deux mesures&nbsp;: l\u2019une est ax\u00e9e sur le niveau auquel les professions sont expos\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019IA (mesure d\u2019\u00ab&nbsp;exposition&nbsp;\u00bb)&nbsp;; l\u2019autre concerne la capacit\u00e9 de l\u2019IA \u00e0 assister les travailleurs d\u2019une profession (mesure de \u00ab&nbsp;compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9&nbsp;\u00bb).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ce nouveau cadre analytique, nous pouvons r\u00e9partir les professions en quatre cat\u00e9gories afin de d\u00e9terminer le futur impact de l\u2019IA sur une profession&nbsp;:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Exposition \u00e9lev\u00e9e et compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9e (EE-CE)&nbsp;: exposition \u00e9lev\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019IA, qui assiste les travailleurs dans un grand nombre de t\u00e2ches.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exposition \u00e9lev\u00e9e et compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9 faible (EE-CF)&nbsp;: exposition \u00e9lev\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019IA, qui permet n\u00e9anmoins d\u2019automatiser un grand nombre de t\u00e2ches et donc de s\u2019affranchir d\u2019une intervention humaine.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exposition faible et compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9e (EF-CE)&nbsp;: exposition faible \u00e0 l\u2019IA, qui assiste n\u00e9anmoins les travailleurs dans un grand nombre de t\u00e2ches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exposition faible et compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9 faible (LE-LC)&nbsp;: exposition faible \u00e0 l\u2019IA, qui permet d\u2019automatiser un grand nombre de t\u00e2ches et donc de s\u2019affranchir d\u2019une intervention humaine.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous utilisons ensuite les donn\u00e9es abondantes de 13&nbsp;millions d\u2019offres de poste en ligne pour analyser les tendances du march\u00e9 du travail avec des professions aux niveaux d\u2019exposition et de compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9 vari\u00e9s.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bien que certaines professions puissent changer de cat\u00e9gorie lors de l\u2019\u00e9mergence de nouvelles technologies d\u2019IA, celles qui pr\u00e9sentent une exposition \u00e9lev\u00e9e int\u00e9ressent le plus les d\u00e9cideurs politiques, les employeurs et les travailleurs \u00e0 court terme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les travailleurs des professions \u00e0 exposition \u00e9lev\u00e9e et \u00e0 compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9 faible sont les plus menac\u00e9s de perturbations avec des effets n\u00e9gatifs. En revanche, les travailleurs et les employeurs des professions \u00e0 exposition \u00e9lev\u00e9e et \u00e0 compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9e peuvent en tirer profit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"what-were-learning\" class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-anchor-point\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column gradient-top purple is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"TheResult\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-240819\" style=\"width: 24px;height: 24px;margin-right: 10px;position: relative; top: -2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Fill-1-1.svg\" alt=\"\"> Ce que nous apprenons<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Les professions sont quasiment r\u00e9parties \u00e0 parts \u00e9gales entre les cat\u00e9gories \u00ab&nbsp;exposition \u00e9lev\u00e9e&nbsp;\u00bb et \u00ab&nbsp;exposition faible&nbsp;\u00bb. Il en va de m\u00eame pour leur r\u00e9partition entre les cat\u00e9gories \u00ab&nbsp;compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9e&nbsp;\u00bb et \u00ab&nbsp;compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9 faible&nbsp;\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sur 506&nbsp;professions de la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre canadienne, qui compte plus de 18&nbsp;millions de travailleurs<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Environ la moiti\u00e9 de toute les professions (56&nbsp;p.&nbsp;100 des travailleurs) pr\u00e9sentent une <strong>exposition \u00e9lev\u00e9e<\/strong> \u00e0 l\u2019IA.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Quelque 48&nbsp;p.&nbsp;100 de ces travailleurs (ou 27&nbsp;p. 100 de tous les travailleurs) ont une profession expos\u00e9e, mais aussi compl\u00e9mentaire (EE-CE). Ces travailleurs sont expos\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019IA, mais leurs emplois impliquent des t\u00e2ches qu\u2019ils peuvent effectuer avec son aide. En revanche, 52&nbsp;p.&nbsp;100 de ces travailleurs (ou 29&nbsp;p.&nbsp;100 de tous les travailleurs) ont une profession expos\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019IA dont les t\u00e2ches peuvent \u00eatre automatis\u00e9es plus facilement et donc s\u2019affranchir d\u2019une intervention humaine (EE-CF).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Par cons\u00e9quent, 43&nbsp;p.&nbsp;100 des travailleurs ont une profession peu expos\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019IA.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Environ la moiti\u00e9 de toutes les professions&nbsp;\u2013 en l\u2019occurrence 41&nbsp;p.&nbsp;100 des travailleurs&nbsp;\u2013 sont actuellement consid\u00e9r\u00e9es comme ayant une <strong>compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9e<\/strong> avec l\u2019IA, qui permet d\u2019assister ces travailleurs dans leurs t\u00e2ches (cat\u00e9gories CE [EE-CE et EF-CE]).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Les professions de la cat\u00e9gorie EE-CE pr\u00e9sentent des t\u00e2ches plus susceptibles d\u2019\u00eatre assist\u00e9es par l\u2019IA.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Les emplois de cette cat\u00e9gorie sont souvent mieux pay\u00e9s et sont plus susceptibles de n\u00e9cessiter des \u00e9tudes postsecondaires. Exemples&nbsp;: certains ing\u00e9nieurs (g\u00e9nie civil, m\u00e9canique, chimique\u2026) ou travailleurs des domaines financiers et juridiques, les chirurgiens et les administrateurs en enseignement postsecondaire (voir tableau&nbsp;4).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Les comp\u00e9tences plus singuli\u00e8res de ces professions sont li\u00e9es \u00e0 des t\u00e2ches <em>cognitives et non routini\u00e8res<\/em>, qui n\u00e9cessitent une grande capacit\u00e9 d\u00e9cisionnelle et une responsabilit\u00e9 accrue en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et de sant\u00e9. Exemples&nbsp;: planification, leadership, accompagnement et esprit critique (voir tableau&nbsp;5).&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Les professions de la cat\u00e9gorie EE-CF pr\u00e9sentent des t\u00e2ches plus susceptibles d\u2019\u00eatre automatis\u00e9es. <\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Les emplois de cette cat\u00e9gorie sont associ\u00e9s \u00e0 des t\u00e2ches plus routini\u00e8res et \u00e0 des salaires inf\u00e9rieurs par rapport aux emplois EE-CE. Exemples&nbsp;: les postes en affaires, en finance et dans l\u2019administration, comme les adjoints administratifs, les auditeurs et les comptables (voir tableau&nbsp;6).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Les aptitudes singuli\u00e8res associ\u00e9es \u00e0 ces professions sont souvent des capacit\u00e9s num\u00e9riques hautement automatisables et une moins grande capacit\u00e9 d\u00e9cisionnelle. Exemples&nbsp;: comptabilit\u00e9, analyse de donn\u00e9es, archivage de renseignements et lecture d\u2019\u00e9preuves (voir tableau&nbsp;7).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tendances relatives \u00e0 l\u2019embauche chez les employeurs<\/strong>&nbsp;: la demande en emplois \u00e0 compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9 faible baisse, tandis que les postes n\u00e9cessitant des \u00e9tudes postsecondaires et des comp\u00e9tences \u00e0 compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9e restent stables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tendances relatives aux salaires<\/strong>&nbsp;: les emplois \u00e0 compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9e sont associ\u00e9s \u00e0 des salaires consid\u00e9rablement plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s que ceux des emplois \u00e0 compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9 faible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Les donn\u00e9es d\u2019offres d\u2019emploi en ligne repr\u00e9sentent une source rapide et granulaire pour suivre la demande des employeurs en mati\u00e8re d\u2019emplois et de comp\u00e9tences. <\/strong>Elles sont particuli\u00e8rement utiles pour \u00e9valuer les fluctuations de la demande entre les professions \u00e0 compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9e et les professions \u00e0 compl\u00e9mentarit\u00e9 faible concernant l\u2019IA sur le lieu de travail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il n\u2019est pas simple de brosser un seul portrait ponctuel de l\u2019impact de l\u2019IA sur les pratiques d\u2019embauche des employeurs en raison de la pand\u00e9mie de COVID-19 et de la volatilit\u00e9 permanente du march\u00e9 du travail.
