m\u00e9canismes. Appuy\u00e9 par des donn\u00e9es de l\u2019Enqu\u00eate sur la technologie num\u00e9rique et l\u2019utilisation d\u2019Internet de Statistique Canada et des m\u00e9thodes d\u2019analyse causale avanc\u00e9es, il ne pr\u00e9sente pas de r\u00e9sultats concluants. Bien que les adeptes de l\u2019IA soient en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral plus productifs que leurs pairs, l\u2019adoption de cette technologie n\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e8re pas consid\u00e9rablement la croissance de leur productivit\u00e9. Cela laisse supposer qu\u2019elle est prometteuse \u00e0 long terme, mais qu\u2019une int\u00e9gration r\u00e9fl\u00e9chie \u00e0 leurs op\u00e9rations est n\u00e9cessaire pour garantir des gains \u00e0 court terme. Ses partisans promettent qu\u2019elle contribuera notamment \u00e0 surmonter les probl\u00e8mes de productivit\u00e9 et \u00e0 transformer radicalement l\u2019\u00e9conomie, en faisant augmenter les gains salariaux et le rendement \u00e9conomique. Cette intersection entre l\u2019IA et la croissance de la productivit\u00e9 fait beaucoup parler d\u2019elle au Canada \u00e0 l\u2019heure o\u00f9 des pr\u00e9occupations \u00e9mergent concernant une \u00ab&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.banqueducanada.ca\/2024\/03\/probleme-productivite\/?theme_mode=light\">crise de la productivit\u00e9<\/a>&nbsp;\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La productivit\u00e9 est l\u2019ingr\u00e9dient cl\u00e9 de la croissance \u00e9conomique et du niveau de vie de demain, car elle offre la possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019am\u00e9liorer le rendement sans augmenter les facteurs de production&nbsp;\u2013 tels que les heures de travail, les ressources naturelles et les co\u00fbts d\u2019investissement. Au cours des vagues d\u2019innovation ant\u00e9rieures, nous avons n\u00e9anmoins d\u00e9j\u00e0 observ\u00e9 des tendances consistant en l\u2019adoption g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9e d\u2019une technologie sans aucune preuve d\u2019une augmentation de la productivit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comme l\u2019a soulign\u00e9 le d\u00e9funt \u00e9conomiste am\u00e9ricain Robert Solow dans une remarque devenue c\u00e9l\u00e8bre, \u00ab&nbsp;l\u2019\u00e8re de l\u2019informatique est visible partout, sauf dans les statistiques de la productivit\u00e9&nbsp;\u00bb. Avec un taux d\u2019adoption faible et des recherches limit\u00e9es au Canada, il comble un vide immense, permettant de tirer les premiers enseignements bas\u00e9s sur des donn\u00e9es probantes concernant l\u2018impact \u00e0 court terme de l\u2019IA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce projet a permis d\u2019explorer l\u2019impact \u00e0 court terme de l\u2019adoption de l\u2019IA sur la productivit\u00e9 au niveau des entreprises. Voici ses questions de recherche cl\u00e9s&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>L\u2019adoption de l\u2019IA entra\u00eene-t-elle des gains de productivit\u00e9 mesurables?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ces gains sont-ils concentr\u00e9s chez certains types d\u2019entreprises, comme les plus grandes ou les plus jeunes d\u2019entre elles?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>R\u00e9alis\u00e9e gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 des donn\u00e9es de l\u2019Enqu\u00eate sur la technologie num\u00e9rique et l\u2019utilisation d\u2019Internet 2019 et 2021 de Statistique Canada li\u00e9es \u00e0 des documents financiers, l\u2019\u00e9tude est ax\u00e9e sur les entreprises ayant adopt\u00e9 l\u2019IA entre d\u00e9but 2020 et fin 2021. Les m\u00e9thodes ont consist\u00e9 en une analyse descriptive et en une estimation de l\u2019effet causal bas\u00e9e sur la m\u00e9thode des doubles diff\u00e9rences.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9tude a cibl\u00e9 des secteurs et des types d\u2019entreprises dans lesquels l\u2019adoption de l\u2019IA a \u00e9t\u00e9 la plus fr\u00e9quente&nbsp;\u2013 la technologie de l\u2019information et des communications (TIC) et les services professionnels, par exemple. grandissant d\u2019op\u00e9rations pourraient augmenter les chances d\u2019obtenir des gains d\u2019efficacit\u00e9 et donc de productivit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Surtout, cette \u00e9tude est ax\u00e9e sur l\u2019impact de l\u2019adoption de l\u2019IA <em>avant<\/em> le lancement public de ChatGPT par OpenAI fin 2022, lequel a suscit\u00e9 un vif int\u00e9r\u00eat pour la derni\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9ration de technologies d\u2019IA g\u00e9n\u00e9rative. Cependant, les outils d\u2019IA g\u00e9n\u00e9rative, comme les grands mod\u00e8les de langage (GML), offrent des capacit\u00e9s diff\u00e9rentes de celles d\u2019autres types d\u2019IA, donc des recherches suppl\u00e9mentaires sont n\u00e9cessaires pour \u00e9valuer leur impact sur la croissance de la productivit\u00e9 des entreprises canadiennes. Cette \u00e9valuation sera possible gr\u00e2ce aux donn\u00e9es de la prochaine \u00e9dition de l\u2019enqu\u00eate de Statistique Canada, men\u00e9e entre fin 2023 et d\u00e9but 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De nombreux d\u00e9cideurs du secteur priv\u00e9 et du monde politique estiment que l\u2019adoption de l\u2019IA par les entreprises peut \u00eatre une solution miracle pour r\u00e9soudre les probl\u00e8mes de croissance de la productivit\u00e9 au Canada. Nos r\u00e9sultats incitent cependant \u00e0 la prudence quant \u00e0 l\u2019existence d\u2019un lien de causalit\u00e9 entre cette adoption au niveau des entreprises et la r\u00e9alisation de gains de productivit\u00e9 \u00e0 court terme. Cela \u00e9tant dit, nous avons h\u00e2te de poursuivre nos analyses et nos recherches concernant l\u2019impact du d\u00e9ploiement de ces technologies en perp\u00e9tuel changement sur le cours de
