Dans ce num\u00e9ro, les contributeurs soul\u00e8vent d&#8217;importants d\u00e9bats autour de l&#8217;acquisition de la langue et de l&#8217;impact des traumatismes sur l&#8217;apprentissage et le d\u00e9veloppement des comp\u00e9tences. Il met la lumi\u00e8re sur les strat\u00e9gies de soutien centr\u00e9es sur l&#8217;employeur et propose l&#8217;entrepreneuriat comme voie d&#8217;int\u00e9gration tout en se penchant sur les enseignements acquis par les ressortissants canadiens dans le cadre du parrainage priv\u00e9 des r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9dition actuelle s&#8217;inscrit dans la continuit\u00e9 de ce partenariat avec l&#8217;Institut de la diversit\u00e9 en vue d&#8217;approfondir notre compr\u00e9hension sur les exp\u00e9riences des nouveaux arrivants au Canada. Nous y soulignons le r\u00f4le primordial que joue l&#8217;immigration dans la croissance \u00e9conomique et dans la lutte contre les p\u00e9nuries de comp\u00e9tences et de main-d&#8217;oeuvre. En m\u00eame temps, nous examinons le r\u00f4le du Canada dans l&#8217;\u00e9laboration d&#8217;approches novatrices pour faire face aux crises humanitaires mondiales, y compris en mati\u00e8re de parrainage priv\u00e9 des r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s, et de son impact tant sur les nouveaux arrivants que sur les parrains. Ensuite, nous nous penchons sur certains des obstacles auxquels les nouveaux arrivants sont confront\u00e9s, notamment l&#8217;\u00e9valuation des dipl\u00f4mes internationaux dans les m\u00e9tiers essentiels des soins de sant\u00e9 En outre, nous examinons la mani\u00e8re dont les \u00e9valuations des comp\u00e9tences peuvent contribuer \u00e0 rem\u00e9dier \u00e0 l&#8217;inad\u00e9quation entre les comp\u00e9tences et l&#8217;emploi, mais aussi la mani\u00e8re dont nous d\u00e9finissons et \u00e9valuons les comp\u00e9tences et la mani\u00e8re dont nous pouvons mieux le faire, tout en reconnaissant les d\u00e9fis pos\u00e9s par les pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s. Par ailleurs, nous examinons la mani\u00e8re dont la formation et les mesures de soutien int\u00e9gr\u00e9es doivent prendre en consid\u00e9ration les besoins des nouveaux arrivants et les approches fond\u00e9es sur les traumatismes. Nous terminons cette \u00e9dition de Diversit\u00e9 canadienne avec deux articles qui refl\u00e8tent l&#8217;exp\u00e9rience des r\u00e9fugi\u00e9s syriens. Ces articles dressent un tableau de la r\u00e9silience et de la d\u00e9termination et exposent la r\u00e9ussite telle qu&#8217;elle est ressentie \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 des traumatismes et des \u00e9preuves endur\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette s\u00e9rie comprend deux volumes de Diversit\u00e9 canadienne qui nous offrent l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 de d\u00e9couvrir une partie du travail r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par l&#8217;Institut de la diversit\u00e9 en appui aux activit\u00e9s du Centre des Comp\u00e9tences futures. Ils t\u00e9moignent de notre engagement en faveur de la recherche, de l&#8217;exploration de solutions novatrices qui reposent sur des donn\u00e9es probantes et du rapprochement des id\u00e9es en vue de renforcer notre \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me en mati\u00e8re de comp\u00e9tences et d&#8217;emploi inclusifs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Une fois de plus, la recherche montre que bien qu&#8217;il existe des possibilit\u00e9s de mieux accompagner le d\u00e9veloppement des comp\u00e9tences des nouveaux arrivants, cependant nous devons toujours r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir aux moyens de lutter contre les pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s et les obstacles dans leur parcours d&#8217;acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l&#8217;emploi.
