D\u2019une part, la plupart des aspects de la vie quotidienne au Canada ont repris. Les entreprises, les \u00e9coles, les restaurants et les lieux de divertissement sont tous ouverts. La plupart des gens ont cess\u00e9 de porter des masques en public et ne pratiquent plus l\u2019\u00e9loignement physique. D\u2019autre part, de nombreuses personnes continuent d\u2019attraper la COVID, certaines d\u2019entre elles \u00e9tant gravement malades, voire d\u00e9c\u00e9d\u00e9es. D\u2019autres continuent \u00e0 se battre pour retrouver une pleine sant\u00e9, des mois apr\u00e8s \u00eatre tomb\u00e9s malades. Il semble que nous soyons dans une phase interm\u00e9diaire, la plupart des gens vivant comme si la pand\u00e9mie \u00e9tait termin\u00e9e, m\u00eame si la menace et l\u2019impact du virus n\u2019ont pas totalement disparu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-midsize\">Ce rapport contribue \u00e0 combler le manqu\u00e9 d\u2019informations en indiquant combien de Canadiens ont manqu\u00e9 le travail ou l\u2019\u00e9cole en raison de la COVID-19 au cours des 12 mois pr\u00e9c\u00e9dant le moment de l\u2019enqu\u00eate en mars 2023, ainsi que la dur\u00e9e de leurs absences. Il est \u00e9galement plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 chez les femmes que chez les hommes, chez ceux qui ont des enfants \u00e0 la maison que chez ceux qui n\u2019en ont pas, chez ceux qui ont une invalidit\u00e9 qui limite au moins occasionnellement leurs activit\u00e9s quotidiennes que chez ceux qui n\u2019ont pas d\u2019invalidit\u00e9.<\/p><\/div><div class=\"numbered-card__background\" style=\"background-color:#4e0047\"><\/div><div class=\"numbered-card__number\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-content-card\"><h3 class=\"numbered-card__title\" style=\"color:#4e0047\"><\/h3><div class=\"numbered-card__text\" style=\"color:#000000\"><p>La cinqui\u00e8me vague de l\u2019enqu\u00eate sur l\u2019emploi et les comp\u00e9tences, men\u00e9e en mars 2023, a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que 45 % des adultes canadiens faisant partie de la population active ou poursuivant des \u00e9tudes avaient manqu\u00e9 au moins un jour de travail ou d\u2019\u00e9cole au cours des 12 mois pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents parce qu\u2019eux-m\u00eames ou une personne dont ils s\u2019occupaient \u00e9taient malades \u00e0 cause de la COVID-19. Parmi eux, 31 % \u00e9taient malades de la maladie COVID-19, 15 % s\u2019occupaient d\u2019une personne malade de la maladie COVID-19 et 10 % avaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 malades de la maladie COVID-19 et subissaient les effets persistants de la maladie, comme la fatigue (une exp\u00e9rience g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement appel\u00e9e \u00ab COVID de longue dur\u00e9e \u00bb).<\/p><\/div><div class=\"numbered-card__background\" style=\"background-color:#4e0047\"><\/div><div class=\"numbered-card__number\"><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-content-card\"><h3 class=\"numbered-card__title\" style=\"color:#4e0047\"><\/h3><div class=\"numbered-card__text\" style=\"color:#000000\"><p>Les personnes ayant des enfants \u00e0 la maison sont \u00e9galement plus susceptibles que les autres d\u2019avoir manqu\u00e9 plus d\u2019une semaine de travail ou d\u2019\u00e9cole. Il en va de m\u00eame pour les personnes racialis\u00e9es par rapport aux personnes blanches, pour les autochtones par rapport aux non-autochtones et pour les personnes handicap\u00e9es par rapport
