			{"id":247933,"date":"2022-06-30T16:10:51","date_gmt":"2022-06-30T20:10:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/?post_type=research&#038;p=247933"},"modified":"2022-07-29T11:49:21","modified_gmt":"2022-07-29T15:49:21","slug":"les-experiences-de-discrimination-au-travail","status":"publish","type":"research","link":"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/fr\/recherche\/les-experiences-de-discrimination-au-travail\/","title":{"rendered":"Les exp\u00e9riences de discrimination au travail"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"is-style-midsize\">La discrimination sur le lieu de travail est un probl\u00e8me r\u00e9pandu au Canada, lequel semble s\u2019\u00eatre intensifi\u00e9 au fil des ann\u00e9es \u00e9coul\u00e9es depuis le d\u00e9but de la pand\u00e9mie de COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-midsize\">Le sondage sur les relations raciales r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en 2021 par l\u2019Environics Institute a conclu que, depuis 2019, la perception d\u2019une in\u00e9galit\u00e9 de traitement au sein des milieux d\u2019emploi \u00e9tait en hausse chez divers groupes racis\u00e9s. Les hypoth\u00e8ses sont nombreuses quant \u00e0 l\u2019impact de ce changement sur les exp\u00e9riences de discrimination sur le lieu de travail au sein des groupes en qu\u00eate d\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9. D\u2019une part, l\u2019amoindrissement des interactions en personne pourrait prot\u00e9ger les employ\u00e9s marginalis\u00e9s des commentaires et des comportements discriminatoires ou d\u00e9sobligeants. La recherche semble appuyer cette hypoth\u00e8se, dans la mesure o\u00f9 seuls 3 % des employ\u00e9s noirs indiquent souhaiter revenir au travail pr\u00e9sentiel \u00e0 temps plein, contre 21 % des employ\u00e9s blancs aux \u00c9tats-Unis. M\u00eame si certains de ces probl\u00e8mes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 exprim\u00e9s de fa\u00e7on anecdotique par les Canadiennes et les Canadiens noirs, les premi\u00e8res donn\u00e9es issues de cette s\u00e9rie ont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que les Canadiennes et les Canadiens noirs \u00e9taient l\u00e9g\u00e8rement moins susceptibles de vouloir continuer de travailler \u00e0 domicile, ce qui porte \u00e0 croire que l\u2019exp\u00e9rience du travail \u00e0 domicile au Canada pourrait \u00eatre diff\u00e9rente de celle aux \u00c9tats-Unis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u2019autre part, la transition vers le travail \u00e0 distance pourrait exacerber les obstacles auxquels certains groupes font face parce qu\u2019elle supprime les occasions de tisser des r\u00e9seaux et des liens avec le personnel de haute direction et de gestion. Certains employ\u00e9s peuvent \u00e9galement tirer profit d\u2019entretiens individuels non surveill\u00e9s et de l\u2019absence de t\u00e9moins pour harceler d\u2019autres employ\u00e9s. Les r\u00e9unions virtuelles obligent de surcro\u00eet les employ\u00e9s \u00e0 diffuser leurs conditions de logement, envoyant des signaux sur leur classe sociale et leur culture \u00e0 leurs employeurs et \u00e0 leurs clients. De plus, il existe des preuves solides de l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 du contact intergroupes pour att\u00e9nuer les pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s. La r\u00e9duction des interactions entre les diff\u00e9rents groupes et la restriction des occasions d\u2019\u00e9changer points de vue et exp\u00e9riences pourraient ainsi renforcer les pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s existants sur \u00ab l\u2019autre \u00bb . Cependant, et cela est largement sp\u00e9culatif, rares sont les recherches men\u00e9es \u00e0 ce jour sur l\u2019effet de la pand\u00e9mie sur la discrimination au travail pour des groupes racis\u00e9s et marginalis\u00e9s sp\u00e9cifiques au Canada. Sur la base de donn\u00e9es datant de fin 2020, nous avons constat\u00e9, pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment dans cette s\u00e9rie d\u2019\u00e9tudes, que les nouveaux arrivants, les personnes racis\u00e9es et les peuples autochtones craignaient davantage que le travail \u00e0 domicile ait un impact n\u00e9gatif sur leur carri\u00e8re, m\u00eame si la fa\u00e7on dont cette appr\u00e9hension a \u00e9volu\u00e9 apr\u00e8s deux ann\u00e9es de pand\u00e9mie est incertaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les effets de la pand\u00e9mie sur la discrimination au travail sont mis en lumi\u00e8re dans une enqu\u00eate men\u00e9e par le gouvernement du Canada en 2020. Les r\u00e9sultats de cette \u00e9tude indiquent que trois r\u00e9pondants sur dix ont fait l\u2019objet d\u2019une forme de discrimination sur le lieu de travail et qu\u2019un tiers d\u2019entre eux ont signal\u00e9 des exp\u00e9riences de discrimination en ligne. Ces r\u00e9sultats ne sont toutefois pas repr\u00e9sentatifs \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle nationale, car l\u2019\u00e9chantillon, bien que compos\u00e9 de 35 000 r\u00e9pondants, a \u00e9t\u00e9 collect\u00e9 par le biais de sources externes. Ainsi, m\u00eame si nous pouvons pr\u00e9sumer que cette discrimination en ligne a en partie eu lieu en milieu d\u2019emploi, le terme \u00ab en ligne \u00bb englobe \u00e9galement les salles de classe virtuelles et les m\u00e9dias sociaux, entre autres forums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le pr\u00e9sent rapport vise \u00e0 combler cette lacune dans la recherche et \u00e0 donner un aper\u00e7u de la discrimination sur le lieu de travail pendant et du fait de la pand\u00e9mie. Bien que nous reconnaissions que de nombreux groupes en qu\u00eate d\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 m\u00e9ritent une attention particuli\u00e8re, cette \u00e9tude s\u2019est concentr\u00e9e sur les groupes suivants : les femmes, les employ\u00e9s racis\u00e9s, les employ\u00e9s autochtones, les jeunes employ\u00e9s et les employ\u00e9s en situation de handicap.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"page-block
