De plus, le travail ind\u00e9pendant et l\u2019entrepreneuriat gagnent en popularit\u00e9. Les d\u00e9cideurs politiques doivent d\u00e8s maintenant s\u2019attaquer au sous-emploi des travailleurs autochtones qualifi\u00e9s et au manque de comp\u00e9tences de base parmi les jeunes et les adultes autochtones. Si cette cohorte re\u00e7oit l\u2019appui n\u00e9cessaire pour d\u00e9velopper des comp\u00e9tences de base par l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 une \u00e9ducation, \u00e0 des comp\u00e9tences et \u00e0 une formation de qualit\u00e9, cibl\u00e9es et culturellement adapt\u00e9es, elle pourra doper l\u2019\u00e9conomie du pays de 27,7 milliards de dollars annuellement.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"bucket-block__item bucket-item \">\n\t\t<div class=\"bucket-item__number\">2<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"bucket-item__content\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"bucket-item__text\">\n\t\t\t\t<p>Une \u00e9tude avance qu\u2019en d\u00e9pit de niveaux de litt\u00e9ratie et de num\u00e9ratie plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s, les membres des Premi\u00e8res nations sont significativement moins susceptibles de trouver un emploi (75 pour cent) que les M\u00e9tis (87 pour cent) et les non-Autochtones (90 %). M\u00eame les non-Autochtones moins qualifi\u00e9s sont plus susceptibles de trouver un emploi que les membres des Premi\u00e8res nations (87 pour cent). Sans les comp\u00e9tences requises, une personne manque de fondement et d\u2019outils pour s\u2019adapter et r\u00e9ussir. Par cons\u00e9quent, elle est vuln\u00e9rable face au bouleversement du march\u00e9 d\u2019emploi caus\u00e9 par l\u2019automation et ne satisfait pas aux crit\u00e8res de qualifications de la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si la nouvelle cohorte d\u2019Autochtones re\u00e7oit l\u2019appui n\u00e9cessaire pour d\u00e9velopper des comp\u00e9tences de base par l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 une \u00e9ducation, \u00e0 des comp\u00e9tences et \u00e0 une formation de qualit\u00e9, cibl\u00e9es et adapt\u00e9es \u00e0 sa culture, elle pourra doper l\u2019\u00e9conomie du pays \u00e0 hauteur de 27,7 milliards de dollars annuellement. Manquer \u00e0 cette occasion repr\u00e9sentera une perte pour nous tous. Si, par contre, l\u2019on r\u00e9ussit \u00e0 combler cet \u00e9cart de comp\u00e9tences, les prochains employ\u00e9s et employeurs autochtones auront la chance de travailler \u00e0 la hauteur de leur talent et de d\u00e9ployer tout leur potentiel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alors, de quoi les Autochtones ont-ils besoin consid\u00e9rant leurs perspectives quant \u00e0 l\u2019avenir du travail? \u00c0 ce sujet, les chiffres sont \u00e9loquents : entre 2006 et 2016, la croissance de la population autochtone \u00e9tait quatre fois sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 celle de la population non autochtone malgr\u00e9 des r\u00e9sultats socio\u00e9conomiques inf\u00e9rieurs, un taux de ch\u00f4mage plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 et de plus faibles niveaux de scolarit\u00e9. En d\u00e9pit de leurs aptitudes sup\u00e9rieures en litt\u00e9ratie et en num\u00e9ratie, les membres des Premi\u00e8res nations sont significativement moins susceptibles de trouver un emploi (75 pour cent) que les M\u00e9tis (87 pour cent) et les non-Autochtones (90 %). M\u00eame les non-Autochtones peu sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s ont de meilleures perspectives d\u2019emploi que les membres des Premi\u00e8res nations (87 %). Parmi ces derniers, certains d\u00e9laissent leur emploi pour des raisons de harc\u00e8lement et de discrimination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 les d\u00e9fis que repr\u00e9sentent le sous-emploi des travailleurs autochtones sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s et le manque de comp\u00e9tences de base chez les jeunes et les adultes autochtones, les signes encourageants ne manquent pas. Les entreprises autochtones se multiplient et cr\u00e9ent de nouveaux emplois. De plus, le travail ind\u00e9pendant et l\u2019entrepreneuriat gagnent en popularit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les entreprises autochtones repr\u00e9sentent des employeurs importants pour les Autochtones. Or, souvent, ces entreprises font partie des secteurs d\u2019activit\u00e9s aux prises avec des perturbations. Les entrepreneurs parlent de climat d\u00e9favorable aux affaires dans les r\u00e9serves, et les entrepreneurs autochtones aspirants citent l\u2019acc\u00e8s difficile aux capitaux. Qui plus est, des lacunes dans l\u2019\u00e9ducation et l\u2019acquisition de comp\u00e9tences chez les Autochtones repr\u00e9sentent \u00e0 la fois un probl\u00e8me d\u2019employabilit\u00e9 et d\u2019affaires. Les entreprises autochtones rapportent des difficult\u00e9s de recrutement d\u2019employ\u00e9s comp\u00e9tents et disent qu\u2019en absence d\u2019actions pour relever les comp\u00e9tences des futurs travailleurs, la croissance de leurs entreprises sera menac\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour maximiser leur potentiel, les programmes d\u2019acquisition des comp\u00e9tences pour Autochtones doivent comporter les \u00e9l\u00e9ments suivants : <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>des moyens d\u2019intervention pr\u00e9coce et de formation pr\u00e9emploi destin\u00e9s aux jeunes,<\/li><li>des programmes d\u2019acquisition de comp\u00e9tences offerts aux clients avant la formation pr\u00e9emploi,<\/li><li>des services de garde d\u2019enfants abordables et accessibles.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p> D\u2019autres \u00e9tudes ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que l\u2019adaptation au contexte culturel augmente les chances de succ\u00e8s des programmes de formation en tenant compte des particularit\u00e9s du territoire et en offrant un soutien selon la m\u00e9thode Wraparound. Son travail a men\u00e9 \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation du Fonds de d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomique autochtone de 95 millions de dollars de la province de l&#8217;Ontario ainsi qu&#8217;\u00e0 un engagement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral visant \u00e0 garantir que les entreprises autochtones repr\u00e9sentent 5% des cha\u00eenes d&#8217;approvisionnement du gouvernement, ce qui repr\u00e9sente un objectif de 1 milliard de dollars.<\/p>\n<p>En plus de son travail de soutien aux initiatives gouvernementales, Max haw a travaill\u00e9 avec des entreprises clientes de Tata Consultancy Services, de Postes Canada et de VIA Rail.
