Celles dans un m\u00e9nage \u00e0 double revenu ont \u00e9t\u00e9 plus susceptibles de perdre leur emploi en raison de la pand\u00e9mie et moins susceptibles de le r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer au moment de l\u2019adoption des premi\u00e8res mesures de relance et de r\u00e9embauche.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<div class=\"bucket-block__item bucket-item \">\n\t\t<div class=\"bucket-item__number\">2<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"bucket-item__content\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"bucket-item__text\">\n\t\t\t\t<p> L\u2019absence d\u2019autonomie financi\u00e8re des femmes co\u00fbte \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9conomie 10 % du PIB dans les pays industrialis\u00e9s et plus de 30 % en Asie du Sud, au Moyen-Orient et en Afrique du Nord.<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div><div class=\"bucket-block__item bucket-item \">\n\t\t<div class=\"bucket-item__number\">3<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"bucket-item__content\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"bucket-item__text\">\n\t\t\t\t<p> Malgr\u00e9 l\u2019enseignement sup\u00e9rieur, le Canada continue d\u2019avoir l\u2019un des \u00e9carts salariaux entre les sexes les plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s parmi les pays de l\u2019Organisation de coop\u00e9ration et de d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomiques (OCDE).<\/p>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">R\u00e9sum\u00e9<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019in\u00e9galit\u00e9 est, avec la technologie et la durabilit\u00e9, l\u2019une des trois dimensions qui fa\u00e7onnent le paysage \u00e9conomique du 21e si\u00e8cle. L\u2019in\u00e9galit\u00e9 persistante conduit \u00e0 la marginalisation, \u00e0 l\u2019exclusion des secteurs \u00e9conomiques en croissance et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9rosion de la capacit\u00e9 de d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomique et social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les \u00e9tudes sur les r\u00e9percussions \u00e9conomiques des disparit\u00e9s entre les sexes pr\u00e9sument que si les hommes et les femmes naissent probablement avec le m\u00eame potentiel, les disparit\u00e9s en mati\u00e8re d\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9ducation, aux soins de sant\u00e9, au cr\u00e9dit et \u00e0 la technologie, ainsi que les droits juridiques et les facteurs sociaux et culturels, emp\u00eachent les femmes de r\u00e9aliser ce potentiel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il en r\u00e9sulte directement une baisse de la productivit\u00e9 et de la croissance \u00e9conomique. L\u2019absence d\u2019autonomie financi\u00e8re des femmes co\u00fbte \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9conomie 10 % du PIB dans les pays industrialis\u00e9s et plus de 30 % en Asie du Sud, au Moyen-Orient et en Afrique du Nord . Si les Canadiennes ont fait quelques progr\u00e8s sur le march\u00e9 du travail au cours des derni\u00e8res d\u00e9cennies, leur pleine participation se heurte \u00e0 des obstacles, ce qui r\u00e9duit consid\u00e9rablement le bassin de talents \u00e0 la disposition des employeurs .L\u00e0 o\u00f9 il y a \u00e9galit\u00e9, la croissance est plus forte et plus durable \u2013 la corr\u00e9lation est incontestable . Nous les examinons tour \u00e0 tour en mettant en \u00e9vidence les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s entre les sexes qu\u2019ils engendrent et nous pr\u00e9sentons les statistiques les plus r\u00e9centes ainsi que les d\u00e9terminants explicatifs de ces diverses consid\u00e9rations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Notre description des in\u00e9galit\u00e9s entre les sexes accorde une attention particuli\u00e8re \u00e0 l\u2019intersectionnalit\u00e9 des motifs de discrimination. Par cons\u00e9quent, lorsqu\u2019elles sont accessibles, d\u2019autres caract\u00e9ristiques identitaires et sociod\u00e9mographiques comme la race, le statut d\u2019immigrant, l\u2019origine ethnique, le handicap, la sant\u00e9 mentale, l\u2019\u00e2ge et le niveau de revenu sont prises en compte, car elles soul\u00e8vent des d\u00e9fis et des complexit\u00e9s suppl\u00e9mentaires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le deuxi\u00e8me objectif consiste \u00e0 \u00e9tudier les in\u00e9galit\u00e9s accentu\u00e9es par les r\u00e9percussions de la crise de la COVID-19 et les mesures de confinement en d\u00e9coulant, qui ont ralenti notre \u00e9conomie et confin\u00e9 de nombreuses familles chez elles, tout en remplissant la fonction vitale de limiter la propagation de la maladie. De nombreuses femmes se heurtent \u00e0 des difficult\u00e9s suppl\u00e9mentaires en raison de leur surrepr\u00e9sentation dans les emplois de premi\u00e8re ligne, notamment des emplois mal r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9s, pr\u00e9caires et dans le secteur des soins . Mme Davey a \u00e9t\u00e9 directrice des politiques et des relations avec les intervenants au bureau de l\u2019opposition officielle au Nouveau-Brunswick, conseill\u00e8re principale en mati\u00e8re de politiques et de mobilisation des intervenants au cabinet du premier ministre du Nouveau-Brunswick et pr\u00e9sidente du syndicat \u00e9tudiant de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 du Nouveau-Brunswick.<\/p>\n<p>Sentant que la conversation sur la prise de d\u00e9cision inclusive et diversifi\u00e9e faisait d\u00e9faut sur la c\u00f4te Est du Canada, Mme Davey a cr\u00e9\u00e9 Femme Wonk, un balado sur les politiques et les affaires courantes qui a pour objectif de discuter des politiques publiques innovatrices et traditionnelles dans une optique d\u2019\u00e9galit\u00e9 entre les genres et d\u2019inclusion. Par le biais de Femme Wonk, elle donne des conf\u00e9rences, offre des services-conseils et anime \u00e9galement un club de lecture. Celle que l\u2019on a d\u00e9j\u00e0 surnomm\u00e9e \u00ab la carri\u00e9riste f\u00e9ministe \u00bb plaide pour l\u2019int\u00e9gration des politiques \u00e9conomiques et sociales. <\/p>\n<p>Mme Davey est titulaire d\u2019un dipl\u00f4me en science politique de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 du Nouveau-Brunswick et poursuit actuellement sa ma\u00eetrise en politiques appliqu\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Wilfrid-Laurier. Blanchette a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 ses travaux dans de prestigieuses conf\u00e9rences internationales, telles que la r\u00e9union annuelle de la Academy of Management et le colloque international annuel du European Group on Organization Studies. Elle cumule plus de 15 ans d\u2019exp\u00e9rience dans la cr\u00e9ation de partenariats strat\u00e9giques, ayant entretenu des relations avec plus de 1\u2009000 organismes communautaires \u00e0 travers l\u2019Ontario et collabor\u00e9 avec plus de 500 m\u00e9dias ethniques. Elle est une strat\u00e8ge politique pris\u00e9e qui a collabor\u00e9 avec de hauts dirigeants aux trois ordres de gouvernement. <\/p>\n<p>Les travaux de Mme Latif au Diversity Institute, o\u00f9 elle travaille en tant qu\u2019associ\u00e9e de recherche, portent sur la diversit\u00e9 en milieu de travail en adoptant une approche intersectionnelle qui ne se limite pas aux questions de genre. Ainsi, ses recherches doctorales visent \u00e0 comprendre comment les femmes musulmanes du Canada construisent leur identit\u00e9 dans leur vie professionnelle et comment elles vivent ces identit\u00e9s en milieu de travail. Les travaux de Mme Latif ont \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9s dans des revues universitaires et elle a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 des documents strat\u00e9giques gouvernementaux. Elle esp\u00e8re utiliser son exp\u00e9rience et son parcours acad\u00e9mique pour conduire un changement de politique. <\/p>\n<p>Mme Latif est r\u00e9cipiendaire du prix Femmes de m\u00e9rite du YWCA et laur\u00e9ate du prix Zonta Young Women in Public Affairs.
