L&#8217;avenir du travail pr\u00e9sente \u00e9galement des d\u00e9fis, car les emplois o\u00f9 les personnes ayant un handicap sont embauch\u00e9es sont souvent \u00e0 risque d&#8217;automatisation. Chez les Canadiens et Canadiennes \u00e2g\u00e9s de 25 \u00e0 64 ans, le taux de pauvret\u00e9 est de 40 % plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 pour les personnes ayant une incapacit\u00e9 l\u00e9g\u00e8re et d\u2019environ 200 % plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 pour les personnes ayant une incapacit\u00e9 plus grave que pour les Canadiens et Canadiennes sans incapacit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019examen des raisons pour lesquelles les personnes ayant une incapacit\u00e9 sont sous-employ\u00e9es r\u00e9v\u00e8le des difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 trouver du travail et, une fois employ\u00e9es, des difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 demander et \u00e0 obtenir le soutien dont elles ont besoin pour progresser dans leur carri\u00e8re. La stigmatisation sociale, le manque de compr\u00e9hension et de soutien \u00e0 de nombreuses \u00e9tapes de la vie aggravent davantage les difficult\u00e9s que rencontrent les personnes ayant une incapacit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans le monde du travail de l\u2019avenir, ces difficult\u00e9s seront probablement exacerb\u00e9es, dans la mesure o\u00f9 les emplois qu\u2019occupent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement les personnes ayant une incapacit\u00e9 sont souvent menac\u00e9s par l\u2019automatisation, notamment les emplois peu qualifi\u00e9s et n\u2019exigeant qu\u2019un faible niveau de scolarit\u00e9. Et bien que certaines cat\u00e9gories d\u2019emploi soient susceptibles de conna\u00eetre une croissance dans les ann\u00e9es \u00e0 venir, notamment les cat\u00e9gories des cadres et des administrateurs, les personnes ayant une incapacit\u00e9 se retrouvent sous-repr\u00e9sent\u00e9es dans ces cat\u00e9gories \u00ab en croissance \u00bb.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour \u00e9liminer les barri\u00e8res \u00e0 l\u2019emploi pour les personnes ayant une incapacit\u00e9, les employeurs, les d\u00e9cideurs politiques, les travailleurs de la sant\u00e9, les \u00e9ducateurs, les architectes et les ing\u00e9nieurs doivent \u00eatre form\u00e9s pour faire \u00ab confiance aux personnes ayant une incapacit\u00e9 \u00bb. Les employeurs qui font confiance aux personnes ayant une incapacit\u00e9 ont les connaissances n\u00e9cessaires pour cr\u00e9er un environnement de travail inclusif et accessible, et plaider en faveur du changement social au sein et au-del\u00e0 de leurs organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En outre, des recherches suppl\u00e9mentaires sont n\u00e9cessaires pour comprendre les enjeux li\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019incapacit\u00e9 et \u00e0 l\u2019emploi, notamment la mani\u00e8re dont l\u2019automatisation aura des effets sur les emplois, la mani\u00e8re dont les employeurs peuvent soutenir la transition de l\u2019\u00e9cole vers le travail, et l\u2019identification de pratiques d\u2019accommodement qui aideront les \u00e9ducateurs et les employeurs \u00e0 rendre le monde du travail de l\u2019avenir plus \u00e9quitable et plus inclusif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En particulier, les recherches indiquent que la transition de l\u2019\u00e9cole vers le travail semble \u00eatre un d\u00e9fi majeur pour les personnes ayant une incapacit\u00e9.
