Sur le tas inad\u00e9quation des comp\u00e9tences (surqualification ou sousqualification) fait r\u00e9f\u00e9rence \u00e0 un \u00e9cart entre le niveau de qualification d&#8217;un titulaire du poste et les exigences pour ce travail particulier. Nos donn\u00e9es sugg\u00e8rent que certains types de comp\u00e9tences non-concordance sont en effet \u00e0 la hausse dans l&#8217;UE, notamment les p\u00e9nuries de comp\u00e9tences et surqualification. D&#8217;autres types sont sur une tendance \u00e0 la baisse \u00e0 long terme (par exemple sousqualification) ou suivre plusieurs motifs complexes au fil du temps (par exemple de l&#8217;inad\u00e9quation des comp\u00e9tences macro-\u00e9conomiques). Il existe \u00e9galement des diff\u00e9rences importantes entre les \u00c9tats membres dans les niveaux de ces indicateurs. Nous sugg\u00e9rons en outre que les pr\u00e9dictions th\u00e9oriques sur la relation entre les comp\u00e9tences non-concordance et la productivit\u00e9 d\u00e9pendent de la dimension des comp\u00e9tences non-concordance consid\u00e9r\u00e9e. Notre analyse empirique sugg\u00e8re une relation n\u00e9gative entre l&#8217;inad\u00e9quation des comp\u00e9tences macro-\u00e9conomique et la productivit\u00e9 du travail et &#8211; comme un signe d&#8217;une \u00e9conomie dynamique &#8211; une relation positive entre les p\u00e9nuries de comp\u00e9tences et la productivit\u00e9 du travail.
