Dans cette \u00e9tude, nous utilisons les donn\u00e9es employeur des employ\u00e9s li\u00e9s au Canada longitudinales d&#8217;examiner si les immigrants des minorit\u00e9s blanches \/ visibles et exp\u00e9rience n\u00e9es au Canada diff\u00e9rentes possibilit\u00e9s de deux mesures bien d\u00e9finies de la formation financ\u00e9e par l&#8217;entreprise: sur le tas et la formation en classe. Alors que nous trouvons aucune diff\u00e9rence dans la formation sur le tas entre les diff\u00e9rents groupes, nos r\u00e9sultats sugg\u00e8rent que les immigrants des minorit\u00e9s visibles sont beaucoup moins susceptibles de recevoir une formation en classe et re\u00e7oivent moins et plus courts cours de formation en classe, une exp\u00e9rience qui ne partagent pas les immigrants blancs . Pour les hommes immigrants des minorit\u00e9s visibles, ces lacunes sont enti\u00e8rement conduits par leur diff\u00e9rentiel de tri dans les lieux de travail avec moins de possibilit\u00e9s de formation. Chez les femmes cependant, ils sont principalement motiv\u00e9s par des diff\u00e9rences qui \u00e9mergent dans les lieux de travail. Nous ne trouvons aucune preuve que les ann\u00e9es pass\u00e9es au Canada ou le niveau d&#8217;\u00e9ducation peut r\u00e9duire sensiblement ces lacunes. Compte des diff\u00e9rences potentielles dans les cheminements de carri\u00e8re et le niveau hi\u00e9rarchique n&#8217;explique pas ces diff\u00e9rences. Nous constatons toutefois que ces lacunes ne sont v\u00e9cues par les immigrants des minorit\u00e9s visibles qui travaillent dans le secteur \u00e0 but lucratif, avec ceux du secteur sans but lucratif connaissent des p\u00e9nuries positives ou pas dans la formation.
