Les employeurs jouent un r\u00f4le crucial pour expliquer le rendement de l&#8217;enseignement formel mais on sait peu sur la fa\u00e7on dont les employeurs, les employeurs particuli\u00e8rement \u00e9lite, utiliser et interpr\u00e9ter les dipl\u00f4mes. Dans cet article, j&#8217;analyse la fa\u00e7on dont les employeurs d&#8217;\u00e9lite de services professionnels utiliser et interpr\u00e9ter les dipl\u00f4mes dans les d\u00e9cisions d&#8217;embauche de la vie r\u00e9elle. Je trouve que les dipl\u00f4mes \u00e9taient des employeurs des crit\u00e8res les plus couramment utilis\u00e9s pour solliciter et curriculum vitae \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9cran. Cependant, il n&#8217;a pas le contenu de l&#8217;\u00e9ducation que les employeurs d&#8217;\u00e9lite \u00e9valu\u00e9s, mais plut\u00f4t son prestige. Contrairement aux mesures sociologiques communes de prestige de l&#8217;institution, les employeurs des candidats privil\u00e9gi\u00e9s qui poss\u00e9daient une super-\u00e9lite (par exemple, les quatre premiers) plut\u00f4t que l&#8217;affiliation universitaire s\u00e9lective.
