\u00e0 des obstacles majeurs lors de leur int\u00e9gration \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me entrepreneurial; cet enjeu crucial affecte tant les moyens de subsistance des individus que la vitalit\u00e9 \u00e9conomique globale. Cet obstacle d\u00e9coule principalement de l&#8217;absence de r\u00e9seaux locaux et d&#8217;une m\u00e9connaissance de l&#8217;\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me commercial canadien. Ces obstacles \u00e0 l&#8217;int\u00e9gration sont d&#8217;autant plus accentu\u00e9s par la sous-utilisation des comp\u00e9tences et des acquis professionnels des nouveaux arrivants, ce qui constitue une occasion manqu\u00e9e de dynamiser l&#8217;\u00e9conomie canadienne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\"><br>Les efforts d\u00e9ploy\u00e9s pour favoriser l&#8217;int\u00e9gration des nouveaux arrivants dans le secteur des affaires canadien n&#8217;ont pas pleinement r\u00e9pondu aux besoins de formations globales et adapt\u00e9es aux r\u00e9alit\u00e9s culturelles ni \u00e0 ceux d&#8217;occasions de r\u00e9seautage entrepreneurial accessibles. Les programmes pass\u00e9s se sont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9s, soit trop g\u00e9n\u00e9riques, manquant de cl\u00e9s d&#8217;analyse pr\u00e9cises pour appr\u00e9hender les rouages du milieu des affaires canadien, soit insuffisamment modul\u00e9s pour s&#8217;adapter aux profils diversifi\u00e9s des nouveaux arrivants. Cette lacune a priv\u00e9 de nombreux nouveaux arrivants du soutien n\u00e9cessaire pour valoriser pleinement leurs comp\u00e9tences et r\u00e9ussir leur int\u00e9gration sur le march\u00e9 du travail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\"><br>Le DMZ de l\u2019Universit\u00e9 m\u00e9tropolitaine de Toronto a pris acte de ces d\u00e9fis persistants et s\u2019est donn\u00e9 pour mission de b\u00e2tir un \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me plus inclusif et propice \u00e0 la r\u00e9ussite des entrepreneurs nouveaux arrivants. C&#8217;est afin d&#8217;offrir cet accompagnement cibl\u00e9 qu&#8217;a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis sur pied le Programme d&#8217;entrepreneuriat pour les nouveaux arrivants. Cette approche s&#8217;inscrit dans le contexte plus large de l&#8217;\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me d&#8217;innovation canadien, un milieu qui se nourrit de la diversit\u00e9, mais qui sous-valorise encore les talents de sa population issue de l&#8217;immigration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group key-insights-grey has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"background-color:#0000000d\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Perspectives cl\u00e9s<\/strong><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px;margin-right: 16px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No.svg\" alt=\"\">La transition vers un mod\u00e8le hybride, combinant des s\u00e9ances en ligne et en pr\u00e9sentiel, a permis de stimuler l&#8217;engagement des participants et de multiplier les occasions de r\u00e9seautage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px; margin-right: 16px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No-1.svg\" alt=\"\">Le programme a su r\u00e9pondre efficacement aux besoins des participants en mati\u00e8re de d\u00e9veloppement personnel et professionnel; une d\u00e9marche essentielle \u00e0 leur pleine insertion dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 canadienne, bien au-del\u00e0 de la seule r\u00e9ussite commerciale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px; margin-right: 16px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No-2.svg\" alt=\"\">Les d\u00e9fis initiaux li\u00e9s \u00e0 la mobilisation des participants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 att\u00e9nu\u00e9s par le d\u00e9ploiement d\u2019une strat\u00e9gie de recrutement plus cibl\u00e9e et par le perfectionnement du parcours p\u00e9dagogique afin d&#8217;encourager une participation plus active.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"the-issue\" class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-anchor-point\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column gradient-top purple is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"TheChallenge\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-240812\" style=\"width: 12px;height: 24px;margin-right: 10px;position: relative; top: -2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Vector-2.svg\" alt=\"\"> L&#8217;<strong>ENJEU<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group flex-print is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>Accompagner les personnes immigrantes dans leur recherche d&#8217;emploi et leur insertion professionnelle au Canada s&#8217;av\u00e8re complexe et exige une d\u00e9marche multidimensionnelle. Au fil des ans, les pouvoirs publics, les employeurs et les d\u00e9cideurs ont instaur\u00e9 des programmes de formation linguistique, des dispositifs de reconnaissance des dipl\u00f4mes et des services d&#8217;orientation professionnelle afin de faciliter l&#8217;int\u00e9gration des nouveaux arrivants au march\u00e9 du travail. Malgr\u00e9 ces initiatives, de nombreux nouveaux arrivants se heurtent encore \u00e0 des obstacles syst\u00e9miques, notamment la complexit\u00e9 des rouages administratifs, la discrimination et des difficult\u00e9s d&#8217;acc\u00e8s aux r\u00e9seaux sociaux et professionnels. Face \u00e0 ces barri\u00e8res, certains nouveaux arrivants choisissent de cr\u00e9er leur propre entreprise plut\u00f4t que de continuer \u00e0 se heurter aux cloisonnements des cheminements de carri\u00e8re traditionnels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pourtant, les nouveaux arrivants qui souhaitent se lancer dans l&#8217;entrepreneuriat se heurtent souvent \u00e0 d&#8217;autres obstacles. Beaucoup n&#8217;ont pas acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des mentors capables de les aider \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper leurs comp\u00e9tences professionnelles et \u00e0 se constituer un r\u00e9seau au Canada. D&#8217;autres manquent de moyens financiers pour concr\u00e9tiser leurs id\u00e9es d&#8217;entreprise ou ne savent pas vraiment comment s&#8217;y retrouver dans le milieu des affaires local. L&#8217;objectif du programme \u00e9tait d&#8217;aider les nouveaux arrivants \u00e0 renforcer leur confiance en eux, \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper leur r\u00e9seau professionnel et \u00e0 mieux appr\u00e9hender l&#8217;\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me entrepreneurial canadien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au cours de la phase 1 de ce projet, men\u00e9e de mars \u00e0 juin 2023, le DMZ a particip\u00e9 au R\u00e9seau d&#8217;incubation du Centre des Comp\u00e9tences futures, une s\u00e9rie de quatre s\u00e9ances de concertation r\u00e9unissant les repr\u00e9sentants de sept institutions d\u00e9di\u00e9es \u00e0 l&#8217;avancement de l&#8217;int\u00e9gration des nouveaux arrivants au Canada. Ce r\u00e9seau a offert un espace de concertation et de soutien collectif visant \u00e0 surmonter les d\u00e9fis op\u00e9rationnels li\u00e9s \u00e0 la mise en \u0153uvre des projets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En marge de sa participation au r\u00e9seau, le DMZ a con\u00e7u un programme intensif de huit semaines offrant un acc\u00e8s \u00e0 des ateliers pratiques, du mentorat personnalis\u00e9, des s\u00e9ances d&#8217;\u00e9change entre pairs, ainsi que la possibilit\u00e9 d&#8217;occuper ses locaux pour r\u00e9seauter avec les autres participants. Les participants ont assist\u00e9 \u00e0 des ateliers th\u00e9matiques tels que \u00ab Introduction \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me technologique canadien \u00bb et \u00ab&nbsp;Les fondements de l&#8217;entrepreneuriat&nbsp;\u00bb. Le programme proposait \u00e9galement des conf\u00e9rences d&#8217;un panel de fondateurs dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s du DMZ, l&#8217;occasion pour ces entrepreneurs, eux-m\u00eames anciens nouveaux arrivants, de partager leur parcours tout en offrant inspiration et conseils pratiques aux cohortes. La majorit\u00e9 des prestations se sont d\u00e9roul\u00e9es en mode virtuel au cours de la phase 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au cours de la phase 2, men\u00e9e d&#8217;avril \u00e0 septembre 2024, le DMZ a \u00e9largi son offre d&#8217;options hybrides pour r\u00e9pondre au retour d&#8217;exp\u00e9rience de la cohorte pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente. L&#8217;accent a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis sur des formations intensives ax\u00e9es sur le d\u00e9veloppement de comp\u00e9tences cl\u00e9s, telles que le succ\u00e8s client, la commercialisation, la vente et la communication professionnelle, d\u00e9ploy\u00e9es dans le cadre de ses programmes <a href=\"https:\/\/dmz.torontomu.ca\/skills-academy\">SkillHouse<\/a> (d\u00e9sormais Skills Academy), <a href=\"https:\/\/dmz.torontomu.ca\/post\/dmz-yyz-a-gateway-to-the-north-american-market\">YYZ<\/a> et <a href=\"https:\/\/dmz.torontomu.ca\/basecamp\">Basecamp<\/a>. La phase 2 comprenait \u00e9galement des simulations de pr\u00e9sentations strat\u00e9giques (\u00ab pitching \u00bb) ainsi que des ateliers de pr\u00e9paration \u00e0 l&#8217;insertion professionnelle ax\u00e9s sur la r\u00e9daction de CV, la pr\u00e9paration aux entretiens d&#8217;embauche et l&#8217;art de r\u00e9seauter efficacement sur LinkedIn. Les participants se sont \u00e9galement vu offrir des occasions accrues de maillage et de mentorat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au cours de ces deux phases, chaque participant a pu personnaliser son parcours en s\u00e9lectionnant les activit\u00e9s les plus adapt\u00e9es \u00e0 l&#8217;avancement de son projet entrepreneurial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Outre le Programme d&#8217;entrepreneuriat pour les nouveaux arrivants, ce projet comportait un volet d&#8217;\u00e9valuation visant \u00e0 mesurer les retomb\u00e9es de l&#8217;initiative sur l&#8217;int\u00e9gration des participants au Canada. La d\u00e9marche d&#8217;\u00e9valuation comportait un examen des donn\u00e9es administratives et de la documentation, un sondage r\u00e9trospectif, des entretiens avec des informateurs cl\u00e9s, ainsi qu&#8217;un volet de recherche participative par l&#8217;image (\u00ab&nbsp;photovoice&nbsp;\u00bb) s&#8217;appuyant sur des photographies et de courts r\u00e9cits produits par les participants.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"what-were-learning\" class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-anchor-point\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column gradient-top purple is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"TheResult\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-240819\" style=\"width: 24px;height: 24px;margin-right: 10px;position: relative; top: -2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Fill-1-1.svg\" alt=\"\"> <strong>CE QUE NOUS APPRENONS<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Au cours de la phase 2, men\u00e9e de juin \u00e0 septembre 2024, 43 nouveaux arrivants ont pris part au Programme d&#8217;entrepreneuriat pour les nouveaux arrivants.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Un contenu r\u00e9pondant \u00e0 un double objectif.<\/strong> Les participants ont manifest\u00e9 un int\u00e9r\u00eat particuli\u00e8rement vif pour les ateliers ax\u00e9s sur l&#8217;acquisition de comp\u00e9tences transposables, tant sur le plan personnel que professionnel. Cette double approche a permis de relever les d\u00e9fis plus g\u00e9n\u00e9raux li\u00e9s \u00e0 l&#8217;int\u00e9gration des nouveaux arrivants, qui cherchaient non seulement \u00e0 lancer leur entreprise, mais aussi \u00e0 s&#8217;adapter \u00e0 leur nouvel environnement social et culturel au Canada. Comme l&#8217;illustre le t\u00e9moignage \u00e9loquent d&#8217;un participant : <em>\u00ab&nbsp;Mon exp\u00e9rience au sein du Programme d&#8217;entrepreneuriat pour les nouveaux arrivants m&#8217;a donn\u00e9 l&#8217;impression d&#8217;\u00eatre aux portes d&#8217;un nouveau monde, o\u00f9 mentors et pairs m&#8217;ont apport\u00e9 le soutien n\u00e9cessaire pour voir au-del\u00e0 des obstacles.&nbsp; Sans leur accompagnement, il m&#8217;aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 difficile de saisir pleinement les occasions d&#8217;affaires qui se profilent ou de naviguer dans les complexit\u00e9s du monde des affaires d\u2019un nouveau pays.&nbsp;\u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>La mobilisation soutenue des participants a repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 un d\u00e9fi de taille.<\/strong> La cohorte initiale a affich\u00e9 un niveau d&#8217;assiduit\u00e9 variable. Les organisateurs ont attribu\u00e9 cette fluctuation aux contraintes du format virtuel ainsi qu&#8217;aux multiples responsabilit\u00e9s des participants, dont un grand nombre devait composer avec des \u00ab emplois de survie \u00bb et des obligations familiales. Pour y rem\u00e9dier, la deuxi\u00e8me promotion a mis en place une strat\u00e9gie de recrutement plus cibl\u00e9e et un programme d&#8217;\u00e9tudes repens\u00e9, con\u00e7u pour encourager la participation active. Cette approche consistait notamment \u00e0 organiser des ateliers pendant la pause d\u00e9jeuner et \u00e0 r\u00e9duire leur nombre de 20 \u00e0 14, ce qui a permis d&#8217;approfondir chaque th\u00e8me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cr\u00e9ation d&#8217;une communaut\u00e9 pour d\u00e9velopper le capital social.<\/strong> Le programme a organis\u00e9 deux grands \u00e9v\u00e9nements de r\u00e9seautage en pr\u00e9sentiel, qui ont eu lieu respectivement au d\u00e9but et \u00e0 la fin du programme. Ces \u00e9v\u00e9nements ont jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le essentiel en aidant les participants \u00e0 cr\u00e9er et \u00e0 consolider leurs r\u00e9seaux locaux, ce qui constitue souvent un obstacle majeur pour les nouveaux arrivants. Le programme s&#8217;est \u00e9galement appuy\u00e9 sur l&#8217;exp\u00e9rience d&#8217;anciens participants au DMZ qui avaient eux-m\u00eames \u00e9t\u00e9 des nouveaux arrivants, offrant ainsi aux participants des mod\u00e8les et des mentors auxquels ils pouvaient s&#8217;identifier. Bien que l&#8217;acquisition de comp\u00e9tences entrepreneuriales pratiques soit essentielle pour surmonter ces obstacles, le Programme d&#8217;entrepreneuriat pour les nouveaux arrivants met en lumi\u00e8re le r\u00f4le d\u00e9terminant du maillage strat\u00e9gique dans l&#8217;int\u00e9gration r\u00e9ussie des participants au sein de l&#8217;\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me d&#8217;affaires canadien. L&#8217;accent mis sur le maillage strat\u00e9gique au cours de la phase 2 du projet met en relief une lacune potentielle dans les politiques actuelles d&#8217;int\u00e9gration des nouveaux arrivants, lesquelles privil\u00e9gient souvent de mani\u00e8re exclusive le d\u00e9veloppement des comp\u00e9tences et l&#8217;acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l&#8217;emploi. Ce constat sugg\u00e8re que l&#8217;enrichissement du capital social et le d\u00e9veloppement de maillages communautaires pourraient s&#8217;av\u00e9rer tout aussi d\u00e9terminants que le perfectionnement des comp\u00e9tences professionnelles. Les d\u00e9cideurs politiques pourraient envisager de mettre en place des initiatives visant sp\u00e9cifiquement \u00e0 cr\u00e9er des r\u00e9seaux pour les nouveaux arrivants, ce qui pourrait am\u00e9liorer leur r\u00e9ussite globale et faciliter leur int\u00e9gration dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La capacit\u00e9 du projet \u00e0 s&#8217;adapter en fonction des retours des participants d\u00e9montre l&#8217;importance de l&#8217;\u00e9valuation et de la conception adaptative des programmes dans l&#8217;\u00e9laboration des politiques et les pratiques organisationnelles.
