fen\u00eatre d\u2019opportunit\u00e9 critique pour le d\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019enfant et pour interrompre les voies qui peuvent conduire \u00e0 des r\u00e9sultats m\u00e9diocres en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 et d\u2019\u00e9ducation plus tard dans la vie, en particulier dans des groupes comme les populations autochtones qui subissent de mani\u00e8re disproportionn\u00e9e les mauvais d\u00e9terminants sociaux de la sant\u00e9. Pourtant, le syst\u00e8me canadien d\u2019\u00e9ducation de la petite enfance se caract\u00e9rise par une faible qualit\u00e9 du travail et un manque chronique de personnel. Il est essentiel de soutenir les communaut\u00e9s autochtones pour qu\u2019elles s\u2019impliquent dans les soins et l\u2019\u00e9ducation de leurs enfants afin de favoriser la r\u00e9conciliation. Le syst\u00e8me d\u2019\u00e9ducation de la petite enfance autochtone pour les communaut\u00e9s nordiques Mi\u2019kmaq du Nouveau-Brunswick a privil\u00e9gi\u00e9 une approche centr\u00e9e sur l\u2019utilisateur afin d\u2019explorer de nouvelles m\u00e9thodes de renforcement des capacit\u00e9s.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le projet explore la mani\u00e8re dont les communaut\u00e9s autochtones peuvent \u00eatre impliqu\u00e9es dans les soins et l\u2019\u00e9ducation de leurs enfants et comment elles peuvent plaider en faveur de services et de programmes meilleurs et plus \u00e9quitables.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lorsque cette communaut\u00e9 autochtone a eu la possibilit\u00e9 de s\u2019impliquer dans l\u2019\u00e9ducation de ses enfants, elle a pu proposer des solutions adapt\u00e9es \u00e0 son exp\u00e9rience particuli\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">Il s\u2019agissait notamment d\u2019am\u00e9liorer les salaires, d\u2019accro\u00eetre la formation, de d\u00e9velopper la formation et d\u2019augmenter les investissements dans des approches centr\u00e9es sur les populations autochtones en mati\u00e8re d\u2019\u00e9ducation de la petite enfance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group key-insights-grey has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"background-color:#0000000d\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Perspectives cl\u00e9s<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px;margin-right: 16px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No.svg\" alt=\"\"> Il existe un \u00e9cart de financement de 3\u2009953&nbsp;$ par enfant entre les programmes et services offerts aux enfants des communaut\u00e9s autochtones vivant dans les r\u00e9serves de la C\u00f4te-Nord du Nouveau-Brunswick et ceux offerts aux enfants non autochtones vivant dans la m\u00eame r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px; margin-right: 16px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No-1.svg\" alt=\"\">Des conditions de travail plus favorables sont n\u00e9cessaires pour recruter et retenir la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre autochtone dans le domaine de l\u2019\u00e9ducation de la petite enfance, et pourraient inclure des pratiques de gestion ax\u00e9es sur l\u2019autonomisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px; margin-right: 16px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No-2.svg\" alt=\"\">Le d\u00e9veloppement professionnel est essentiel et pourrait inclure une \u00e9ducation tenant compte des traumatismes, des soins auto-administr\u00e9s pour la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre, une th\u00e9rapie par l\u2019art, une formation comportementale pour l\u2019autisme, et une formation culturelle en plein air\/en milieu rural.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"the-issue\" class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-anchor-point\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column gradient-top purple is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"TheChallenge\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-240812\" style=\"width: 12px;height: 24px;margin-right: 10px;position: relative; top: -2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Vector-2.svg\" alt=\"\"> L\u2019enjeu<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group flex-print is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>Ce projet vise \u00e0 comprendre et \u00e0 trouver des solutions aux \u00e9carts entre l\u2019\u00e9ducation de la petite enfance dans les communaut\u00e9s autochtones et celle des communaut\u00e9s non autochtones. Elle teste \u00e9galement une approche qui implique la communaut\u00e9 autochtone dans l\u2019\u00e9ducation de ses enfants. top: -2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Fill-1-1.svg\" alt=\"\"> Ce que nous apprenons<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>La consultation participative avec les membres de la communaut\u00e9 a permis de tirer plusieurs le\u00e7ons essentielles pour relever les d\u00e9fis de l\u2019apprentissage et de l\u2019\u00e9ducation de la petite enfance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les a\u00een\u00e9s des communaut\u00e9s autochtones ont un r\u00f4le \u00e0 jouer dans l\u2019\u00e9ducation de la petite enfance. Les a\u00een\u00e9s ont formul\u00e9 une vision de l\u2019\u00e9ducation de la petite enfance dans leurs communaut\u00e9s o\u00f9 les programmes \u00e9ducatifs sont d\u00e9cod\u00e9s et d\u00e9colonis\u00e9s, o\u00f9 l\u2019apprentissage formel et informel est \u00e9quilibr\u00e9 selon des m\u00e9thodes culturellement appropri\u00e9es con\u00e7ues par et pour la communaut\u00e9, et o\u00f9 les a\u00een\u00e9s sont impliqu\u00e9s en tant qu\u2019acteurs cl\u00e9s compte tenu de leur r\u00f4le dans le lien entre les g\u00e9n\u00e9rations pass\u00e9es, pr\u00e9sentes et futures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le recrutement et la r\u00e9tention de la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre dans le domaine de l\u2019\u00e9ducation de la petite enfance doivent \u00eatre am\u00e9lior\u00e9s. Les membres de la communaut\u00e9 de North Shore ont propos\u00e9 des solutions comme l\u2019am\u00e9lioration des bar\u00e8mes salariaux, des possibilit\u00e9s accrues de formation et de d\u00e9veloppement professionnels et des investissements dans des approches centr\u00e9es sur les autochtones en mati\u00e8re d\u2019\u00e9ducation de la petite enfance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Des milieux de travail plus propices au soutien sont n\u00e9cessaires. Les participants ont sugg\u00e9r\u00e9 d\u2019explorer les pratiques de gestion ax\u00e9es sur l\u2019autonomisation, les soutiens en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 mentale, de consacrer plus de temps aux t\u00e2ches administratives et de permettre aux \u00e9ducateurs de prendre davantage de d\u00e9cisions concernant leur enseignement et leur style de classe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le d\u00e9veloppement professionnel \u00e9tait une pr\u00e9occupation transversale des participants dans tous les domaines. En outre, il existe une in\u00e9galit\u00e9 r\u00e9sultant d\u2019un \u00e9cart de financement important entre les services offerts aux enfants autochtones vivant dans les r\u00e9serves de la r\u00e9gion et les services offerts aux enfants non autochtones vivant dans les communaut\u00e9s de la r\u00e9gion. La communaut\u00e9 autochtone offre des perspectives et des solutions qui pourraient \u00eatre utiles \u00e0 d\u2019autres communaut\u00e9s autochtones confront\u00e9es \u00e0 des d\u00e9fis similaires en mati\u00e8re de d\u00e9veloppement de la petite enfance.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les enjeux li\u00e9s \u00e0 la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019emploi auxquels est confront\u00e9e la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre autochtone en \u00e9ducation de la petite enfance dans la communaut\u00e9 de la C\u00f4te-Nord sont similaires \u00e0 ceux identifi\u00e9s pour le secteur de l\u2019\u00e9ducation de la petite enfance dans la r\u00e9gion de l\u2019Atlantique, ce qui sugg\u00e8re la pertinence potentielle d\u2019une approche sectorielle r\u00e9gionale pour rem\u00e9dier aux lacunes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il est n\u00e9cessaire d\u2019investir continuellement dans l\u2019\u00e9ducation de la petite enfance autochtone et d\u2019assurer la parit\u00e9 de financement avec les programmes destin\u00e9s aux enfants non autochtones. Les peuples autochtones du Canada subissent de mani\u00e8re disproportionn\u00e9e les cons\u00e9quences d\u2019une sant\u00e9 et d\u2019une \u00e9ducation mal d\u00e9termin\u00e9es par la soci\u00e9t\u00e9. L\u2019un de ces facteurs d\u00e9terminants est l\u2019h\u00e9ritage des pensionnats autochtones qui p\u00e8se aujourd\u2019hui sur la relation des communaut\u00e9s autochtones avec le syst\u00e8me \u00e9ducatif.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le d\u00e9veloppement de la petite enfance est une fen\u00eatre d\u2019opportunit\u00e9 critique pour interrompre certaines des tendances causales qui peut donner lieu \u00e0 des r\u00e9sultats m\u00e9diocres en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 et d\u2019\u00e9ducation \u00e0 un stade ult\u00e9rieur de la vie. Cependant, le syst\u00e8me d\u2019\u00e9ducation de la petite enfance au Canada est pris dans un cercle vicieux o\u00f9 la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019emploi est m\u00e9diocre, ce qui se traduit par un manque chronique de personnel. Les co\u00fbts de ce cycle sont support\u00e9s non seulement par la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre charg\u00e9e de l\u2019\u00e9ducation de la petite enfance, mais aussi par les enfants et leurs familles. Le soutien apport\u00e9 aux communaut\u00e9s autochtones pour qu\u2019elles participent aux soins et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9ducation de leurs enfants est une \u00e9tape essentielle vers la r\u00e9conciliation, comme l\u2019indiquent les appels \u00e0 l\u2019action de la Commission V\u00e9rit\u00e9 et R\u00e9conciliation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les r\u00e9sultats pourraient fournir des indications sur les obstacles rencontr\u00e9s dans d\u2019autres secteurs du march\u00e9 du travail dans lesquels la communaut\u00e9 autochtone est impliqu\u00e9e.
