Institute of Education de l\u2019UHN \u00e0 Toronto, au Canada, a men\u00e9 une \u00e9valuation compl\u00e8te de son \u00ab\u2009Programme de perfectionnement pour les emplois en sant\u00e9 num\u00e9rique et en analyse de donn\u00e9es\u2009\u00bb, visant \u00e0 combler le d\u00e9ficit de comp\u00e9tences des sp\u00e9cialistes de la sant\u00e9 en mati\u00e8re de technologies num\u00e9riques avanc\u00e9es et ax\u00e9es sur les donn\u00e9es. La recherche s\u2019est concentr\u00e9e sur l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 du programme pour doter les \u00e9tudiantes et \u00e9tudiants des comp\u00e9tences n\u00e9cessaires, sur l\u2019alignement du programme en fonction des besoins de l\u2019industrie et sur les r\u00e9sultats de carri\u00e8re des dipl\u00f4m\u00e9es et dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les r\u00e9sultats ont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que la population \u00e9tudiante avait une forte pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence pour des options d\u2019apprentissage modulaires et personnalisables, adaptables aux diff\u00e9rents objectifs de carri\u00e8re et aux contraintes de temps. Bien que les composantes didactiques en ligne aient \u00e9t\u00e9 efficaces pour am\u00e9liorer la compr\u00e9hension des concepts de sant\u00e9 num\u00e9rique chez les \u00e9l\u00e8ves, les \u00e9l\u00e9ments d\u2019apprentissage exp\u00e9rientiel ont \u00e9t\u00e9 confront\u00e9s \u00e0 des d\u00e9fis, comme des taux d\u2019attrition \u00e9lev\u00e9s et d\u2019importantes demandes de ressources. Cela a conduit \u00e0 envisager d\u2019autres m\u00e9thodes d\u2019apprentissage exp\u00e9rientiel, comme les simulations en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 virtuelle, afin de r\u00e9duire les co\u00fbts et d\u2019am\u00e9liorer l\u2019accessibilit\u00e9. La recherche a \u00e9galement mis en \u00e9vidence l\u2019absence d\u2019un cheminement de carri\u00e8re clair apr\u00e8s l\u2019ach\u00e8vement, sugg\u00e9rant la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 pour les \u00e9tablissements d\u2019enseignement de mieux aligner leurs programmes avec les opportunit\u00e9s r\u00e9elles du march\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">Pour la prochaine phase du projet, le Michener Institute cherche \u00e0 s\u2019appuyer sur les perspectives d\u00e9couvertes ici, \u00e0 rendre le programme plus modulaire et \u00e0 int\u00e9grer davantage d\u2019outils num\u00e9riques dans le processus d\u2019apprentissage. Ces changements devraient rendre le programme plus efficace et mieux adapt\u00e9 aux besoins des \u00e9l\u00e8ves et du personnel du secteur de la sant\u00e9, ce qui pourrait servir de mod\u00e8le pour des programmes similaires \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle mondiale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group key-insights-grey has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"background-color:#0000000d\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Perspectives cl\u00e9s<\/strong><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px;margin-right: 16px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No.svg\" alt=\"\">Les personnes poss\u00e9dant les ensembles de comp\u00e9tences r\u00e9sultant du programme de sant\u00e9 num\u00e9rique et d\u2019analyse de donn\u00e9es ne s\u2019int\u00e8grent pas facilement dans le syst\u00e8me Classification nationale des professions utilis\u00e9 par les gouvernements et d\u2019autres instances dans les \u00e9tudes et \u00e9valuations du march\u00e9 du travail. Ce probl\u00e8me s\u2019\u00e9tend \u00e0 de nombreux domaines des professions de la sant\u00e9 appliqu\u00e9es (ou connexes) o\u00f9 le syst\u00e8me Classification nationale des professions ne saisit pas avec pr\u00e9cision les emplois ou les professions du syst\u00e8me de soins de sant\u00e9 d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px; margin-right: 16px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No-1.svg\" alt=\"\">Au cours du programme, on a d\u00e9couvert que la composante des stages s\u2019est av\u00e9r\u00e9e plus on\u00e9reuse financi\u00e8rement que pr\u00e9vu. De plus, de nombreux \u00e9l\u00e8ves ont cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 en \u00eatre exempt\u00e9s. Cela a conduit l\u2019\u00e9quipe \u00e0 envisager d\u2019autres options plus courtes et moins gourmandes en ressources pour donner aux \u00e9l\u00e8ves les connaissances et les comp\u00e9tences requises, en s\u2019appuyant sur les cours d\u2019autres programmes du Michener et des programmes offrant des microcr\u00e9dits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px; margin-right: 16px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No-2.svg\" alt=\"\">Environ cinq \u00e9l\u00e8ves partent avant l\u2019obtention de leur dipl\u00f4me parce qu\u2019ils ont accept\u00e9 un emploi. De plus, comme le programme \u00e9tait annonc\u00e9 comme \u00e9tant \u00e0 temps partiel, la plupart des \u00e9tudiants travaillaient ou occupaient un emploi au cours du programme. En cons\u00e9quence, de nombreux \u00e9l\u00e8ves sont simplement rest\u00e9s chez leur employeur actuel apr\u00e8s l\u2019obtention de leur dipl\u00f4me, bien que certains aient indiqu\u00e9 que le programme leur permettait d\u2019\u00e9largir leur r\u00f4le dans leur emploi actuel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-flex\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"40\" height=\"40\" class=\"wp-image-282070\" style=\"width: 40px; margin-right: 16px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No-3.svg\" alt=\"\">La refonte a mieux r\u00e9pondu aux besoins des \u00e9l\u00e8ves qui commen\u00e7aient le programme, dont la plupart travaillaient \u00e0 temps plein, mais \u00e9taient \u00e0 la recherche de connaissances et de comp\u00e9tences en sant\u00e9 num\u00e9rique pour soutenir leur carri\u00e8re. Plusieurs se sont vu proposer un emploi \u00e0 la fin du quatri\u00e8me semestre (c.-\u00e0-d. au pr\u00e9practicum) ou \u00e0 un moment donn\u00e9 au cours du premier semestre de stage, ce qui les a incit\u00e9s \u00e0 quitter le programme.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"the-issue\" class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-anchor-point\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column gradient-top purple is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"TheChallenge\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-240812\" style=\"width: 12px;height: 24px;margin-right: 10px;position: relative; top: -2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Vector-2.svg\" alt=\"\"> L\u2019enjeu<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group flex-print is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, le secteur de la sant\u00e9 a connu des avanc\u00e9es technologiques importantes, en particulier dans les domaines de la sant\u00e9 num\u00e9rique et de l\u2019analyse des m\u00e9gadonn\u00e9es. Ces innovations ont transform\u00e9 les pratiques de soins de sant\u00e9 traditionnelles, en introduisant des syst\u00e8mes num\u00e9riques complexes, comme les dossiers de sant\u00e9 \u00e9lectroniques et les technologies sophistiqu\u00e9es ax\u00e9es sur les donn\u00e9es, comme l\u2019intelligence artificielle en radiologie et la bio-informatique \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle en g\u00e9n\u00e9tique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce changement a n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 une \u00e9volution parall\u00e8le des comp\u00e9tences requises chez les professionnelles et professionnels de la sant\u00e9. Traditionnellement, l\u2019\u00e9ducation en mati\u00e8re de soins de sant\u00e9 s\u2019est concentr\u00e9e sur les soins directs aux patients et les connaissances m\u00e9dicales de base, laissant un vide sur l\u2019expertise num\u00e9rique et l\u2019analyse de donn\u00e9es chez les travailleurs de la sant\u00e9. Cet \u00e9cart est devenu de plus en plus probl\u00e9matique au moment o\u00f9 la prestation des soins de sant\u00e9 d\u00e9pend de plus en plus de la technologie pour la prise de d\u00e9cision, la gestion des risques et les approches de m\u00e9decine personnalis\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reconnaissant ce besoin croissant, le Michener Institute of Education de l\u2019UHN a lanc\u00e9 un programme sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7u pour combler cette lacune en mati\u00e8re de connaissances en septembre 2021. Le programme ciblait deux groupes principaux&nbsp;: d\u2019une part, les professionnelles et professionnels de la sant\u00e9 manquant de comp\u00e9tences num\u00e9riques et sur les donn\u00e9es, et d\u2019autre part, les sp\u00e9cialistes informatiques aspirant \u00e0 appliquer leurs comp\u00e9tences dans les milieux de soins de sant\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019urgence d\u2019un tel programme a \u00e9t\u00e9 soulign\u00e9e par les progr\u00e8s rapides dans des domaines comme la g\u00e9n\u00e9tique, o\u00f9 la bio-informatique joue un r\u00f4le central, et dans la gestion g\u00e9n\u00e9rale des soins de sant\u00e9, qui repose de plus en plus sur la prise de d\u00e9cision fond\u00e9e sur les donn\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019introduction de ce programme de perfectionnement n\u2019\u00e9tait pas seulement une r\u00e9ponse aux besoins imm\u00e9diats du secteur de la sant\u00e9, mais aussi une mesure proactive pour se pr\u00e9parer aux futures demandes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les programmes traditionnels d\u2019\u00e9ducation en sant\u00e9 n\u2019avaient pas suffisamment couvert l\u2019int\u00e9gration des comp\u00e9tences num\u00e9riques et d\u2019analyse de donn\u00e9es, ce qui a conduit \u00e0 une main-d\u2019\u0153uvre qui devait souvent rattraper la technologie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le programme du Michener Institute visait \u00e0 transformer ce r\u00e9cit en cr\u00e9ant un programme directement constitu\u00e9 \u00e0 partir des besoins de l\u2019industrie de la sant\u00e9, en veillant \u00e0 ce que les dipl\u00f4m\u00e9es et dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s soient bien \u00e9quip\u00e9s pour \u00eatre des leaders et innover dans leurs domaines. Les principales questions guidant cette \u00e9tude \u00e9taient les suivantes&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Comment le programme permet-il aux \u00e9tudiantes et \u00e9tudiants issus des milieux de la sant\u00e9 et de l\u2019informatique d\u2019acqu\u00e9rir les comp\u00e9tences n\u00e9cessaires pour occuper des postes dans le domaine de la sant\u00e9 num\u00e9rique\u2009?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Quelles sont les lacunes dans les comp\u00e9tences actuelles et comment le programme y donne-t-il suite\u2009?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comment les r\u00e9sultats scolaires s\u2019alignent-ils sur les demandes du march\u00e9 du travail\u2009?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Le programme de sant\u00e9 num\u00e9rique et d\u2019analyse de donn\u00e9es a tir\u00e9 parti de certains programmes et cours d\u00e9j\u00e0 existants au Michener, en particulier un programme de certificat en intelligence artificielle (IA) offert par la division de la formation continue du Michener. Le programme a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7u en pr\u00e9vision du fait que les dipl\u00f4m\u00e9es et dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s seraient les pionniers menant le d\u00e9veloppement de protocoles et de processus d\u2019am\u00e9lioration de la qualit\u00e9 en premi\u00e8re ligne des soins. L\u2019initiative a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ue pour offrir aux \u00e9tudiantes et \u00e9tudiants un d\u00e9bouch\u00e9 pour recevoir un certificat d\u2019\u00e9tudes sup\u00e9rieures apr\u00e8s quatre semestres d\u2019\u00e9tudes conform\u00e9ment au Cadre de classification des titres de comp\u00e9tence de l\u2019Ontario, s\u2019ils choisissaient de ne pas suivre les deux semestres de stage des semestres cinq et six.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le programme en sant\u00e9 num\u00e9rique et analyse de donn\u00e9es a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7u pour attirer des \u00e9l\u00e8ves de deux groupes cibles&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Les \u00e9l\u00e8ves ayant des ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents cliniques et un vif int\u00e9r\u00eat pour l\u2019exploration de solutions technologiques am\u00e9lior\u00e9es pour les soins. Comme indiqu\u00e9 ci-dessus, le programme visait \u00e0 attirer un groupe diversifi\u00e9 d\u2019apprenantes et d\u2019apprenants issus de deux domaines principaux&nbsp;: i) les personnes ayant des ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents num\u00e9riques ou de donn\u00e9es, mais ayant peu d\u2019exp\u00e9rience dans les soins de sant\u00e9, et ii) les personnes des soins de sant\u00e9 ayant peu d\u2019exp\u00e9rience dans le num\u00e9rique ou les donn\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les \u00e9tudiantes et \u00e9tudiants ont exprim\u00e9 une pr\u00e9f\u00e9rence pour des cours permettant une personnalisation en fonction de leurs objectifs de carri\u00e8re et de leurs contraintes de temps sp\u00e9cifiques. Cette perspective a provoqu\u00e9 une r\u00e9\u00e9valuation de la conception du programme, en mettant l\u2019accent sur des modules d\u2019apprentissage plus courts et plus cibl\u00e9s pouvant \u00eatre compl\u00e9t\u00e9s ind\u00e9pendamment d\u2019un programme plus vaste et plus chronophage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Le programme attirait des \u00e9tudiantes et \u00e9tudiants d\u2019horizons diff\u00e9rents<\/strong><br>Une analyse des ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents et des qualifications des candidates et candidats au programme a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que le programme de sant\u00e9 num\u00e9rique et d\u2019analyse de donn\u00e9es \u00e9tait en effet attrayant pour un ensemble diversifi\u00e9 de personnes en apprentissage. Les r\u00e9sultats sugg\u00e8rent que le programme a \u00e9t\u00e9 plus efficace pour attirer les personnes ayant des ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents en mati\u00e8re de soins de sant\u00e9 (63&nbsp;%) que celles du monde num\u00e9rique, bien que des candidates et candidats avaient des ant\u00e9c\u00e9dents dans les deux domaines (24&nbsp;%). Les \u00e9tudiantes et \u00e9tudiants provenant d\u2019un domaine particulier ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que leurs connaissances dans le domaine \u00e9taient mod\u00e9r\u00e9es, et cela s\u2019appliquait pour tous les domaines couverts par le programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Diff\u00e9rents mod\u00e8les de prestation de programmes pourraient \u00eatre explor\u00e9s<\/strong><br>En effet, les taux d\u2019attrition \u00e9lev\u00e9s et la nature gourmande en ressources de la formation pratique ont \u00e9t\u00e9 not\u00e9s comme des obstacles importants. Ces r\u00e9sultats soulignent la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019approches alternatives \u00e0 l\u2019apprentissage exp\u00e9rientiel qui maintiennent l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9ducative sans les nombreuses demandes de ressources des stages traditionnels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Des lacunes critiques mises en \u00e9vidence<\/strong><br>Cela a \u00e9t\u00e9 particuli\u00e8rement le cas dans la trajectoire de carri\u00e8re des \u00e9tudiantes et \u00e9tudiants apr\u00e8s l\u2019ach\u00e8vement. Bien qu\u2019on ait reconnu l\u2019importance croissante de l\u2019analyse de donn\u00e9es dans les soins de sant\u00e9, un cheminement de carri\u00e8re clair et d\u00e9fini pour les dipl\u00f4m\u00e9es et dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s demeurait insaisissable. En effet, alors que de nombreux participants et participantes souhaitaient en savoir plus sur l\u2019IA et son int\u00e9gration dans le secteur de la sant\u00e9, ils ont \u00e9galement exprim\u00e9 leur appr\u00e9hension \u00e0 ce sujet. Cela a des implications pour le d\u00e9veloppement des curricula et les services de carri\u00e8re dans les \u00e9tablissements d\u2019enseignement. Il faut \u0153uvrer \u00e0 mieux aligner les r\u00e9sultats du programme sur les besoins et les opportunit\u00e9s du march\u00e9. Par exemple, les \u00e9tudiantes et \u00e9tudiants en soins de sant\u00e9 ont indiqu\u00e9 que leur connaissance et leur appr\u00e9ciation de ces derniers \u00e9taient faibles. Cependant, leur compr\u00e9hension et leur appr\u00e9ciation des questions num\u00e9riques et des donn\u00e9es ont \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9valu\u00e9es encore plus faibles.\u00a0<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Le programme a cibl\u00e9 avec succ\u00e8s des \u00e9tudiantes et \u00e9tudiants int\u00e9ress\u00e9s par une carri\u00e8re dans le domaine de la sant\u00e9<\/strong><br>Presque toutes les \u00e9tudiantes et tous les \u00e9tudiants ont indiqu\u00e9 souhaiter poursuivre le stage du dernier semestre, bien que, comme d\u00e9crit dans la session suivante, tous n\u2019ont finalement pas d\u00e9cid\u00e9 de poursuivre cette exp\u00e9rience. Lorsqu\u2019on leur a demand\u00e9 quelles \u00e9taient leurs aspirations professionnelles et comment leur s\u00e9lection du programme de sant\u00e9 num\u00e9rique et d\u2019analyse de donn\u00e9es s\u2019inscrivait dans leurs plans, les opinions les plus souvent exprim\u00e9es concernaient les aspirations de carri\u00e8re dans l\u2019administration et l\u2019industrie des soins de sant\u00e9. En g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, la recherche n\u2019a pas \u00e9t\u00e9 identifi\u00e9e comme faisant grandement partie des futurs plans de carri\u00e8re, sauf pour les personnes qui avaient au d\u00e9part une formation en num\u00e9rique et en donn\u00e9es. Cette adaptation est cruciale non seulement pour am\u00e9liorer les comp\u00e9tences des professionnelles et professionnels de la sant\u00e9 actuels, mais aussi pour fa\u00e7onner le curriculum des futurs programmes d\u2019\u00e9ducation dans le secteur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>La n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 pour les travailleuses et travailleurs de la sant\u00e9 de bien connaitre les techniques num\u00e9riques et d\u2019analyse de donn\u00e9es a des implications plus vastes pour les politiques de d\u00e9veloppement de la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre<\/strong><br>Il est clair que le secteur de la sant\u00e9 doit non seulement se concentrer sur le recrutement de personnes poss\u00e9dant ces comp\u00e9tences, mais aussi sur la formation continue du personnel existant pour suivre le rythme des progr\u00e8s technologiques. Cela pourrait conduire \u00e0 des investissements accrus dans le d\u00e9veloppement professionnel continu et pourrait encourager les \u00e9tablissements de sant\u00e9 \u00e0 forger des partenariats avec des organisations d\u2019\u00e9ducation et technologiques.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Des implications significatives pour nos syst\u00e8mes d\u2019\u00e9ducation<\/strong><br>Les enseignements tir\u00e9s de ce projet ont des implications profondes pour les politiques et les pratiques \u00e9ducatives dans de multiples secteurs. Ils plaident pour un syst\u00e8me \u00e9ducatif plus r\u00e9actif, capable de s\u2019adapter rapidement aux progr\u00e8s technologiques et de pr\u00e9parer efficacement les \u00e9tudiantes et \u00e9tudiants \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9volution des exigences du march\u00e9 du travail. Cette approche profite non seulement au secteur de la sant\u00e9, mais peut \u00e9galement servir de mod\u00e8le pour d\u2019autres domaines en \u00e9volution technologique
