Les gouvernements et les \u00e9tablissements d\u2019enseignement les pr\u00e9sentent souvent comme un outil pour aider la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre \u00e0 passer d\u2019un secteur ou d\u2019une profession \u00e0 l\u2019autre, car elles peuvent mettre en \u00e9vidence la mani\u00e8re dont les comp\u00e9tences d\u2019une personne peuvent \u00eatre appliqu\u00e9es \u00e0 des secteurs \u00e9mergents et en pleine croissance. De plus en plus d\u2019\u00e9tablissements proposent des microcertifications \u00e0 la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre d\u00e9sireuse de se r\u00e9orienter vers d\u2019autres secteurs. En Alberta, par exemple, elles sont accessibles aux personnes qui se retirent du secteur p\u00e9trolier et gazier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cependant, il est difficile de savoir dans quelle mesure les microcertifications sont reconnues et appr\u00e9ci\u00e9es par les employeurs et les travailleurs, et dans quelle mesure les attitudes \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9gard de leur valeur peuvent diff\u00e9rer d\u2019un secteur \u00e0 l\u2019autre. Une \u00e9tude r\u00e9cente du CCF a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que plus de trois quarts des \u00e9tablissements d\u2019enseignement postsecondaire proposent des microcertifications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pourtant, la reconnaissance et la valeur des microcertifications par les employeurs et les individus ne sont pas encore totalement comprises. De m\u00eame, les individus consid\u00e8rent qu\u2019une microcertification est particuli\u00e8rement pertinente dans un domaine \u00e9mergent o\u00f9 la demande du march\u00e9 du travail est forte et o\u00f9 des titres traditionnels fiables n\u2019ont pas encore \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tablis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toutefois, des \u00e9tudes r\u00e9centes indiquent que les employeurs et les apprenants individuels sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement peu sensibilis\u00e9s aux microcertifications. Il existe donc d\u2019importantes possibilit\u00e9s de faire conna\u00eetre les microcertifications et de les faire adopter, en particulier pour les comp\u00e9tences \u00e9mergentes et tr\u00e8s demand\u00e9es. Leur courte dur\u00e9e en fait des outils essentiels pour la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre qui souhaite se lancer dans un nouveau domaine professionnel ou progresser dans sa carri\u00e8re existante, mais qui n\u2019a pas le temps de suivre un programme de dipl\u00f4me sur plusieurs ann\u00e9es.
