marqu\u00e9s par un taux de pauvret\u00e9 \u00e9lev\u00e9 se heurtent \u00e0 des obstacles majeurs en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9ussite scolaire et de pr\u00e9paration \u00e0 l\u2019emploi, ce qui perp\u00e9tue des cycles de pauvret\u00e9 interg\u00e9n\u00e9rationnels. Afin d\u2019y rem\u00e9dier, Urban Rez Solutions Social Enterprise a con\u00e7u l\u2019\u00e9cole R.E.A.L., destin\u00e9e \u00e0 aider les jeunes noirs, autochtones et racis\u00e9s issus de milieux d\u00e9favoris\u00e9s \u00e0 d\u00e9finir leurs int\u00e9r\u00eats professionnels et \u00e0 les poursuivre. Ces jeunes se montrent souvent m\u00e9fiants envers le gouvernement et d&#8217;autres institutions, en raison du racisme syst\u00e9mique, notamment envers les Noirs, tout en \u00e9tant plus expos\u00e9s \u00e0 la violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De surcro\u00eet, nous manquons de programmes int\u00e9grant \u00e0 la fois (1) une compr\u00e9hension fine des r\u00e9alit\u00e9s v\u00e9cues dans les communaut\u00e9s d\u00e9favoris\u00e9es et (2) des possibilit\u00e9s en mati\u00e8re de d\u00e9veloppement de carri\u00e8re, d\u2019\u00e9ducation et de pr\u00e9vention du crime. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un accompagnement personnalis\u00e9 et \u00e0 des ateliers d\u00e9di\u00e9s, le personnel de l\u2019\u00e9cole aide les participants \u00e0 d\u00e9finir leurs objectifs, \u00e0 \u00e9laborer un plan de carri\u00e8re sur le long terme et \u00e0 construire leur plan d\u2019affaires. Ils acqui\u00e8rent ainsi des comp\u00e9tences pratiques, telles que la ma\u00eetrise des bases du langage et des r\u00e8gles d\u2019usage en contexte professionnel et une bonne litt\u00e9ratie financi\u00e8re.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&#8217;\u00e9cole R.E.A.L. a pour mission de pr\u00e9parer les personnes d\u00e9favoris\u00e9es en leur offrant des comp\u00e9tences essentielles pour la vie quotidienne et le monde des affaires. Elle leur enseigne notamment comment g\u00e9rer les conflits, prendre des d\u00e9cisions \u00e9clair\u00e9es et s&#8217;engager activement dans des changements concrets. L\u2019objectif \u00e9tait que les jeunes sortent du programme en ayant effectu\u00e9 des d\u00e9marches concr\u00e8tes vers des objectifs professionnels r\u00e9alisables, tout en acqu\u00e9rant des comp\u00e9tences interpersonnelles prosociales et en s\u2019appuyant sur un solide r\u00e9seau de soutien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Un \u00e9l\u00e9ment important de la mise en \u0153uvre r\u00e9sidait dans l\u2019\u00e9tablissement de liens de confiance avec les communaut\u00e9s locales, notamment en renfor\u00e7ant la pr\u00e9sence de l\u2019organisme et en intervenant dans la r\u00e9solution de conflits. Par exemple, l\u2019\u00e9cole a organis\u00e9 des barbecues communautaires et des retraites afin que les participants potentiels d\u00e9couvrent le programme avant de s\u2019engager.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"what-were-learning\" class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-anchor-point\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column gradient-top purple is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"TheResult\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-240819\" style=\"width: 24px;height: 24px;margin-right: 10px;position: relative; top: -2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Fill-1-1.svg\" alt=\"\"> Ce que nous apprenons<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Au cours des 12&nbsp;mois, l\u2019\u00e9cole R.E.A.L. a accueilli trois cohortes distinctes pour un total de 98&nbsp;participants, dont la quasi-totalit\u00e9 a termin\u00e9 le programme. Le personnel rapporte que les participants ont renforc\u00e9 leur confiance en eux. Ils ont appris \u00e0 s\u2019orienter dans leur milieu professionnel, \u00e0 appr\u00e9hender le march\u00e9 de l\u2019emploi, \u00e0 g\u00e9rer des projets et \u00e0 r\u00e9soudre des conflits interpersonnels. Ils ont aussi renforc\u00e9 leur sens des affaires, approfondi leurs connaissances en litt\u00e9ratie financi\u00e8re et am\u00e9lior\u00e9 leur capacit\u00e9 de prise de d\u00e9cision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>L\u2019octroi d\u2019allocations a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 son efficacit\u00e9 pour attirer de nouveaux jeunes<\/strong>. Selon l\u2019\u00e9quipe, bien que nombre de participants soient initialement venus uniquement pour recevoir l\u2019allocation, cette derni\u00e8re est devenue secondaire compar\u00e9e aux autres avantages du programme.\u00a0<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>L\u2019\u00e9tablissement de relations de confiance a \u00e9t\u00e9 facilit\u00e9 par une offre de soutien concret et op\u00e9rationnel<\/strong>. Le personnel a constat\u00e9 que ce processus a avanc\u00e9 plus rapidement que pr\u00e9vu, notamment gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 d\u00e9finir et \u00e0 satisfaire rapidement les besoins urgents des communaut\u00e9s. \u00c0 la suite d\u2019un incident violent qui a co\u00fbt\u00e9 la vie \u00e0 un membre d\u2019une communaut\u00e9, le programme est intervenu pour soutenir l\u2019ensemble du r\u00e9seau. Il a ainsi financ\u00e9 les services d\u2019aide aux victimes, pris en charge l\u2019organisation des fun\u00e9railles et mis \u00e0 disposition des espaces s\u00e9curis\u00e9s pour permettre \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9 de faire son deuil et de recevoir l\u2019aide n\u00e9cessaire.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"why-it-matters\" class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-anchor-point\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column gradient-top purple is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"TheImpact\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-240819\" style=\"width: 22px;height: 22px;margin-right: 10px;position: relative; top: -2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Fill-1-2.svg\" alt=\"\"> Pourquoi c\u2019est important<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:38px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column margin-bottom-0 is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:60%\">\n<p>Les jeunes Canadiens et Canadiennes d\u2019aujourd\u2019hui se distinguent par une diversit\u00e9 sans pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent. La croissance reposant en grande partie sur l\u2019immigration, plus de 40&nbsp;p.&nbsp;100 de la population active devrait \u00eatre issue de groupes racis\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019horizon 2041. Dans des villes comme Toronto, o\u00f9 la majorit\u00e9 de la population est racis\u00e9e, il demeure essentiel de lever les obstacles syst\u00e9miques \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 et \u00e0 l\u2019inclusion. Ce projet fournit des enseignements utiles \u00e0 d\u2019autres initiatives d\u2019acquisition de comp\u00e9tences et de formation visant \u00e0 mobiliser les jeunes racis\u00e9s des quartiers marginalis\u00e9s.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En outre, l\u2019engagement de l\u2019organisme partenaire \u00e0 instaurer progressivement un climat de confiance au sein de la communaut\u00e9 avant d\u2019int\u00e9grer les jeunes constitue une d\u00e9marche exemplaire pour l\u2019ensemble des organismes de services.
