pand\u00e9mie de COVID-19 a durement touch\u00e9 le secteur de l\u2019h\u00f4tellerie et de la restauration en Ontario, entra\u00eenant une p\u00e9nurie de main-d\u2019\u0153uvre perdurant m\u00eame apr\u00e8s la phase de relance initiale. Le Hospitality Workers Training Centre (HWTC) a mis en place des microcertifications sectorielles pour apporter des solutions efficaces aux besoins accrus du secteur en mati\u00e8re de formations courtes et \u00e9conomiques.<br>De 2021 \u00e0 2023, l\u2019\u00e9quipe du HWTC a con\u00e7u et mis \u00e0 l\u2019essai plus de 24 microcertifications, comptant 236 participants ayant ensemble obtenu plus de 1 620 insignes num\u00e9riques, soit six insignes en moyenne par personne. Parmi les participants, 89 p. 100 ont exprim\u00e9 leur volont\u00e9 de recommander ces microcertifications, et 74 p. 100 ont constat\u00e9 une am\u00e9lioration de leur situation professionnelle. La participation \u00e0 ces formations a fait passer les taux d\u2019emploi de 40 \u00e0 61 p. 100, avec des am\u00e9liorations notables de 16 \u00e0 46 p. 100 dans le secteur de l\u2019h\u00f4tellerie et de la restauration.<br>Bien que le programme ait \u00e9t\u00e9 soigneusement \u00e9labor\u00e9 et mis en \u0153uvre en collaboration avec le secteur et par le biais d\u2019un comit\u00e9 consultatif, il a rencontr\u00e9 des difficult\u00e9s en raison d\u2019une faible reconnaissance de la part des employeurs et d\u2019une faible int\u00e9gration des microcertifications dans les processus de recrutement, notamment dans le secteur ontarien de l\u2019h\u00f4tellerie et de la restauration.<br>N\u00e9anmoins, ce projet constitue un mod\u00e8le prometteur pour combler les d\u00e9ficits de formation notamment dans ce secteur. Les jeunes, les personnes ayant un niveau de scolarit\u00e9 moins \u00e9lev\u00e9, les travailleurs saisonniers ou temporaires et les petites et moyennes entreprises qui les emploient en ont p\u00e2ti de mani\u00e8re disproportionn\u00e9e. Cette situation a engendr\u00e9 une p\u00e9nurie de main-d\u2019\u0153uvre qui, avec la relance du secteur, s\u2019est aggrav\u00e9e en raison d\u2019un fort taux de roulement imputable aux salaires bas, aux horaires longs ou irr\u00e9guliers, au niveau \u00e9lev\u00e9 de stress, aux conditions de travail physiquement \u00e9prouvantes et au manque de possibilit\u00e9s de formation. Le projet, ax\u00e9 sur la mise en place de microcertifications sectorielles sous forme d\u2019insignes num\u00e9riques transf\u00e9rables, d\u2019\u00e9valuations personnalis\u00e9es des comp\u00e9tences et de soutiens en mati\u00e8re de perfectionnement, a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9labor\u00e9 en vue d\u2019\u00e9tudier leur incidence sur les comp\u00e9tences et l\u2019employabilit\u00e9 des travailleurs du secteur.<br>Ce projet a inclus la conception et la mise en place de 24 microcertifications, adapt\u00e9es aux tendances du secteur et \u00e9labor\u00e9es en collaboration avec des employeurs et d\u2019autres intervenants cl\u00e9s. \u00c0 la fin du projet, 18 microcertifications avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 valid\u00e9es et lanc\u00e9es, huit \u00e9taient lanc\u00e9es, mais non valid\u00e9es, et six \u00e9taient en cours de conception. De mani\u00e8re significative, le taux d\u2019emploi dans le secteur de l\u2019h\u00f4tellerie et de la restauration est pass\u00e9 de 16 p. 100 avant le programme \u00e0 46 p. 100 apr\u00e8s.<br><strong>N\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019une m\u00e9thode normalis\u00e9e pour la reconnaissance des microcertifications dans le secteur de l\u2019h\u00f4tellerie <\/strong><br>Les \u00e9changes avec les employeurs de certains participants ont montr\u00e9 que 40 d\u2019entre eux avaient pris connaissance des microcertifications mentionn\u00e9es dans le curriculum vitae des candidats. Parmi ces derniers, 20 ont indiqu\u00e9 que ces microcertifications avaient jou\u00e9 un r\u00f4le dans leurs d\u00e9cisions d\u2019embaucher. Le programme \u00ab Micro, mais costaud \u00bb a contribu\u00e9 \u00e0 renseigner le secteur de l\u2019h\u00f4tellerie et de la restauration en Ontario sur l\u2019utilit\u00e9 des microcertifications comme outil de formation. Cependant, les \u00e9changes avec les employeurs r\u00e9v\u00e8lent qu\u2019il est n\u00e9cessaire de poursuivre les efforts visant \u00e0 renforcer la sensibilisation et \u00e0 mettre en place une m\u00e9thode normalis\u00e9e de reconnaissance des microcertifications dans le secteur de l\u2019h\u00f4tellerie afin de v\u00e9rifier et de garantir les normes de qualit\u00e9.<br><strong>Les programmes d\u2019\u00e9tudes doivent \u00eatre adapt\u00e9s aux exigences du march\u00e9 du travail<br><\/strong>Un \u00e9l\u00e9ment cl\u00e9 de la r\u00e9ussite du projet a \u00e9t\u00e9 la conception de programmes d&#8217;\u00e9tudes personnalis\u00e9s pour chaque dipl\u00f4me, \u00e9labor\u00e9s en collaboration \u00e9troite avec les employeurs et les dirigeants du secteur de l\u2019h\u00f4tellerie. Cette d\u00e9marche collaborative a garanti que le contenu des programmes corresponde pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment aux comp\u00e9tences et aux aptitudes n\u00e9cessaires sur le terrain. Un comit\u00e9 consultatif a \u00e9t\u00e9 constitu\u00e9 afin de valider les microcertifications, de tester la plateforme d\u2019\u00e9valuation et de renforcer la visibilit\u00e9 du projet dans le secteur.
