travail canadien, ce qui les conduit \u00e0 rechercher d\u2019autres emplois dans des secteurs diff\u00e9rents \u2013 des carri\u00e8res alternatives, souvent caract\u00e9ris\u00e9es par un d\u00e9classement professionnel. Cela pose des probl\u00e8mes non seulement \u00e0 leur identit\u00e9 professionnelle, mais aussi \u00e0 leur sentiment g\u00e9n\u00e9ral d\u2019identit\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce projet vise \u00e0 comprendre comment les migrants qualifi\u00e9s d\u00e9terminent leurs parcours professionnels alternatifs. Les chercheurs ont men\u00e9 des entretiens semi-structur\u00e9s avec 30 immigrants qualifi\u00e9s de Toronto, en Ontario, qui avaient fait carri\u00e8re dans le secteur de la sant\u00e9, mais qui sont maintenant engag\u00e9s dans d\u2019autres carri\u00e8res. Au cours de ces entretiens, les immigrants qualifi\u00e9s ont d\u00e9crit trois \u00e9tats d\u2019esprit diff\u00e9rents \u00e0 propos de leur nouvelle carri\u00e8re : ils consid\u00e8rent le changement comme temporaire, comme exploratoire ou comme permanent. Les migrants qualifi\u00e9s restent une composante essentielle de la croissance des \u00e9conomies nationales et mondiales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cependant, les migrants qualifi\u00e9s se heurtent souvent \u00e0 des obstacles importants sur le march\u00e9 du travail canadien, ce qui les conduit \u00e0 rechercher d\u2019autres emplois dans d\u2019autres secteurs \u2013 des carri\u00e8res alternatives. Les carri\u00e8res alternatives font r\u00e9f\u00e9rence aux options de carri\u00e8re disponibles dans le pays d\u2019accueil, souvent diff\u00e9rentes, mais, d\u2019une certaine mani\u00e8re, toujours li\u00e9es \u00e0 la profession ou au domaine d\u2019origine dans lequel ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 initialement form\u00e9s. Ces carri\u00e8res uniques, souvent caract\u00e9ris\u00e9es par un d\u00e9classement professionnel, posent des d\u00e9fis non seulement \u00e0 leur identit\u00e9 professionnelle, mais aussi \u00e0 leur sentiment g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de soi. Ce projet vise \u00e0 comprendre comment les migrants qualifi\u00e9s d\u00e9veloppent une nouvelle identit\u00e9 professionnelle et cr\u00e9ent par la suite un sens \u00e0 leurs nouveaux r\u00f4les tout en naviguant sur des parcours diff\u00e9rents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans le cadre de ce projet, des entretiens semi-structur\u00e9s ont \u00e9t\u00e9 men\u00e9s avec 30 migrants qualifi\u00e9s du secteur de la sant\u00e9 (m\u00e9decins, infirmi\u00e8res, pharmaciens, etc.) \u00e0 Toronto, en Ontario, qui ont vu leur carri\u00e8re d\u00e9railler en raison d\u2019obstacles professionnels importants. Les entretiens ont explor\u00e9 les perceptions des migrants sur leurs exp\u00e9riences v\u00e9cues lors de transitions professionnelles majeures, en se concentrant sur les trajectoires professionnelles ant\u00e9rieures, la motivation \u00e0 poursuivre des options de carri\u00e8re diff\u00e9rentes, les d\u00e9fis et le processus de cr\u00e9ation de sens au milieu de carri\u00e8res diff\u00e9rentes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les participants aux entretiens ont \u00e9t\u00e9 recrut\u00e9s par l\u2019interm\u00e9diaire de diverses agences d\u2019aide \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tablissement des immigrants dans la r\u00e9gion du Grand Toronto, qui proposent ce que l\u2019on appelle des programmes de transition pour les professionnels migrants qualifi\u00e9s. Une technique de type \u201cboule de neige\u201d a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9e comme strat\u00e9gie de recrutement secondaire. Un premier contact a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tabli avec 48 personnes int\u00e9ress\u00e9es, dont 30 r\u00e9pondaient aux crit\u00e8res de l\u2019\u00e9tude (c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire des personnes ayant un emploi \u00e0 temps plein et engag\u00e9es dans des carri\u00e8res diff\u00e9rentes).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"what-were-learning\" class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-anchor-point\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column gradient-top purple is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"TheResult\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-240819\" style=\"width: 24px;height: 24px;margin-right: 10px;position: relative;top: -2px\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Fill-1-1.svg\" alt=\"\">Ce que nous apprenons<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Les entretiens ont permis de d\u00e9terminer trois parcours professionnels diff\u00e9rents : provisoire, exp\u00e9rimental et r\u00e9formiste, chacun \u00e9tant caract\u00e9ris\u00e9 par une forme unique de travail sur l\u2019identit\u00e9 et les types de construction de sens qui l\u2019accompagnent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Une autre carri\u00e8re comme parcours provisoire<br><\/strong>Les immigr\u00e9s qualifi\u00e9s consid\u00e8rent parfois leurs autres carri\u00e8res comme des parcours temporaires, qui leur permettent d\u2019acqu\u00e9rir de l\u2019exp\u00e9rience, de cr\u00e9er des r\u00e9seaux et d\u2019obtenir les ressources financi\u00e8res n\u00e9cessaires \u00e0 la poursuite d\u2019objectifs professionnels plus vastes. Les immigr\u00e9s qualifi\u00e9s qui consid\u00e8rent leur nouvelle carri\u00e8re comme provisoire sont r\u00e9ticents \u00e0 red\u00e9finir leur identit\u00e9 en fonction de leur nouveau r\u00f4le, nombre d\u2019entre eux s\u2019accrochant fermement aux identit\u00e9s ant\u00e9rieures associ\u00e9es \u00e0 leur ancien r\u00f4le dans les soins de sant\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Une autre carri\u00e8re en tant que parcours exp\u00e9rimental<br><\/strong>Les immigrants qualifi\u00e9s peuvent \u00e9galement consid\u00e9rer leurs autres carri\u00e8res comme temporaires, mais exp\u00e9rimentales, ce qui leur permet d\u2019explorer et d\u2019acqu\u00e9rir de nouvelles comp\u00e9tences pour acc\u00e9der aux emplois souhait\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019avenir. Une meilleure compr\u00e9hension des sentiments des migrants qualifi\u00e9s \u00e0 l&#8217;\u00e9gard des autres carri\u00e8res peut permettre d&#8217;adapter les services destin\u00e9s \u00e0 favoriser leur \u00e9tablissement et leur int\u00e9gration r\u00e9ussis sur le march\u00e9 du travail canadien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce projet souligne \u00e9galement l&#8217;importance pour les gouvernements et les d\u00e9cideurs politiques de mieux comprendre l&#8217;impact puissant que les divers programmes de travail et d&#8217;\u00e9tablissement, y compris les programmes de transition,
