activit\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur ont souvent \u00e9t\u00e9 responsables de la propagation du virus. Cela a n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 diff\u00e9rentes approches pour assurer la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des \u00e9ducatrices et \u00e9ducateurs de la petite enfance (EPE) et des enfants, notamment en passant plus de temps \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur. L\u2019apprentissage en plein air s\u2019est r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 b\u00e9n\u00e9fique pour le d\u00e9veloppement de l\u2019enfant, am\u00e9liorant les r\u00e9sultats en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 mentale, sociale et \u00e9motionnelle. Dans le cadre de ce projet, Early Childhood Educators of British Columbia (ECEBC) a cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 att\u00e9nuer le risque de COVID-19, tout en faisant la promotion de nouveaux types d\u2019apprentissage en plein air qui combinent sp\u00e9cifiquement les syst\u00e8mes de connaissances autochtones et occidentaux traditionnels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">Le programme a permis de former plus de 300&nbsp;EPE aux comp\u00e9tences d\u2019apprentissage en plein air et aux modes de savoir autochtones, cr\u00e9ant ainsi une exp\u00e9rience unique et pr\u00e9cieuse pour les enfants. De plus, il a tout de suite offert aux dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s du programme de devenir des mentores et mentors pour les nouvelles cohortes, ce qui a permis de d\u00e9velopper encore plus de comp\u00e9tences. Depuis, le gouvernement de la Colombie-Britannique a financ\u00e9 le programme pour trois ann\u00e9es suppl\u00e9mentaires. Op\u00e9rer \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur pr\u00e9sentait une occasion unique de rester ouvert, mais cela&nbsp; a \u00e9galement optimis\u00e9 la recherche qui d\u00e9montre un lien positif entre l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 la nature, l\u2019\u00e9ducation bas\u00e9e sur la terre et le d\u00e9veloppement positif et le bien-\u00eatre de l\u2019enfant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c0 l\u2019heure actuelle, la Colombie-Britannique n\u2019autorise pas l\u2019\u00e9ducation de la petite enfance en plein air, les installations ext\u00e9rieures ne sont donc pas r\u00e8glement\u00e9es. Le programme ayant \u00e9t\u00e9 lanc\u00e9 pendant la pand\u00e9mie de COVID-19, les 10&nbsp;cours ont \u00e9t\u00e9 propos\u00e9s en ligne sur une p\u00e9riode de trois mois et comprenait des lectures hebdomadaires, du mat\u00e9riel interactif et des r\u00e9unions guid\u00e9es par d\u2019autres \u00e9ducatrices et \u00e9ducateurs et pairs mentores et mentors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En offrant cette formation aux EPE et aux mentores et mentors, le programme cherchait \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre aux questions suivantes&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Les savoirs autochtones et occidentaux pourraient-ils \u00eatre combin\u00e9s\u2009?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Le mod\u00e8le en ligne \u00e9tait-il un format efficace pour le d\u00e9veloppement professionnel\u2009?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Ce mod\u00e8le m\u00e8nerait-il au d\u00e9veloppement de comp\u00e9tences\u2009? Si oui, lesquelles\u2009?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u25cf Y avit-il un nombre suffisant de professionnelles et professionnels int\u00e9ress\u00e9s \u00e0 devenir pairs mentores et mentors pour la cohorte suivante\u2009?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les connaissances et la sagesse traditionnelles autochtones ont \u00e9t\u00e9 int\u00e9gr\u00e9es au contenu du cours, abordant des questions telles que la durabilit\u00e9 et le respect de la terre et des territoires traditionnels. Les cours \u00e9taient accessibles via des unit\u00e9s en ligne sur la plateforme du Early Years Professional Development Hub \u2014 centre de d\u00e9veloppement professionnel sur la petite enfance, de l\u2019ECEBC. Les personnes ayant un acc\u00e8s limit\u00e9 \u00e0 Internet pouvaient imprimer des documents. Les unit\u00e9s contenaient du mat\u00e9riel d\u2019apprentissage vari\u00e9, notamment des entretiens narratifs, du mat\u00e9riel \u00e9crit et des exercices de r\u00e9flexion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chaque participant \u00e9tait mis en relation avec une mentore ou un mentor et un petit groupe d\u2019apprentissage d\u2019environ sept autres participantes et participants partageant le m\u00eame mentor. Les mentores et mentors ont anim\u00e9 des cercles d\u2019apprentissage avec leurs petits groupes pour explorer davantage le contenu du cours et se soutenir mutuellement dans leur parcours d\u2019apprentissage. Les contacts entre les mentores et mentors et les autres personnes participantes se sont d\u00e9roul\u00e9s pour la plupart virtuellement. \u00c0 l\u2019exception de la premi\u00e8re cohorte, les mentores et mentors ont \u00e9t\u00e9 recrut\u00e9s parmi les personnes ayant particip\u00e9 \u00e0 la cohorte pr\u00e9c\u00e9dente et termin\u00e9 le programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le projet a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9valu\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019une approche \u00e0 m\u00e9thodologie mixte, comprenant \u00e0 la fois un sondage et des groupes de discussion avec les dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s du programme. De plus, les participantes et participants qui ont quitt\u00e9 le programme avant l\u2019obtention de leur dipl\u00f4me ont \u00e9t\u00e9 invit\u00e9s \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 un sondage de suivi. Le but du sondage \u00e9tait de mieux comprendre pourquoi ces EPE avaient choisi de quitter le programme, le but ultime \u00e9tant que leurs commentaires puissent am\u00e9liorer le programme pour les futures cohortes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les dipl\u00f4m\u00e9es et dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s du programme qui souhaitaient s\u2019investir dans le mentorat ont suivi une formation suppl\u00e9mentaire avant d\u2019assumer officiellement ce r\u00f4le, et ce groupe a \u00e9t\u00e9 invit\u00e9 \u00e0 rejoindre un groupe de discussion suppl\u00e9mentaire pour \u00e9valuer leurs exp\u00e9riences en tant que mentores et mentors.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"what-were-learning\" class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-anchor-point\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column gradient-top purple is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"TheResult\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-240819\" style=\"width: 24px;height: 24px;margin-right: 10px;position: relative; top: -2px;\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Fill-1-1.svg\" alt=\"\"> Ce que nous apprenons<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Les coordonnatrices et coordonnateurs du programme ont beaucoup appris sur l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 de l\u2019apprentissage en plein air en g\u00e9n\u00e9ral, ainsi que sur l\u2019acquisition de comp\u00e9tences chez les EPE et les mentores et mentors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Les EPE ont acquis et conserv\u00e9 d\u2019importants savoirs autochtones<\/strong><br>Dans toutes les cohortes, les EPE ont acquis des connaissances sur les fa\u00e7ons autochtones de voir la terre et sur le r\u00f4le jou\u00e9 par les A\u00een\u00e9es et A\u00een\u00e9s et gardiens et gardiennes du savoir autochtones. De plus, des concepts comme \u00ab\u2009le double regard\u2009\u00bb ont aid\u00e9 les EPE \u00e0 combler les lacunes dans leur propre compr\u00e9hension de leur profession et du monde qui les entoure. Ces r\u00e9sultats se sont v\u00e9rifi\u00e9s peu de temps apr\u00e8s la fin du programme, ainsi que deux mois apr\u00e8s. Cela sugg\u00e8re que les enseignements ont eu un impact durable sur les EPE et qu\u2019ils et elles souhaitaient int\u00e9grer ces connaissances dans leur vie quotidienne professionnelle ou personnelle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Les comp\u00e9tences techniques et les connaissances du jeu en plein air m\u00e8nent au d\u00e9veloppement de comp\u00e9tences de savoir-\u00eatre pour soutenir le succ\u00e8s dans les r\u00f4les de mentorat<\/strong><br>Il s\u2019agit notamment d\u2019\u00eatre capable d\u2019expliquer pourquoi l\u2019\u00e9ducation en plein air est importante et d\u2019\u00eatre en mesure d\u2019offrir une \u00e9ducation \u00e0 la petite enfance \u00e0 l\u2019ext\u00e9rieur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les 13&nbsp;comp\u00e9tences se sont am\u00e9lior\u00e9es chez les participantes et participants. De plus, 11&nbsp;comp\u00e9tences sur 13 \u00e9taient encore sup\u00e9rieures deux mois apr\u00e8s la fin du programme. Les mentores et mentors ont guid\u00e9 les futures cohortes tout au long du programme aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s des animatrices et animateurs du programme. Ils ont ainsi acquis une meilleure connaissance du programme et constat\u00e9 comment la premi\u00e8re cohorte s\u2019\u00e9tait am\u00e9lior\u00e9e apr\u00e8s l\u2019\u00e9valuation. Cela les a \u00e9galement amen\u00e9s \u00e0 acqu\u00e9rir des comp\u00e9tences pr\u00e9cieuses pour leur vie professionnelle actuelle et future. En particulier, les mentores et mentors ont soulign\u00e9 avoir d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 leurs comp\u00e9tences en \u00e9tant \u00e0 l\u2019aise en tant que leaders, en animant des discussions de groupe et en sachant comment s\u2019adapter \u00e0 diff\u00e9rents styles d\u2019apprentissage au sein d\u2019un grand groupe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bien que les mentores et mentors aient eu des exp\u00e9riences positives dans leurs r\u00f4les, il faut plus de soutien<\/strong><br>En particulier, plusieurs n\u2019\u00e9taient pas conscients des t\u00e2ches administratives qui les attendaient lors de la transition vers ces r\u00f4les. De plus, la navigation dans le portail en ligne permettant d\u2019enregistrer les informations de pr\u00e9sence et les commentaires des participantes et participants pr\u00e9sentait des difficult\u00e9s pour plusieurs. Une formation suppl\u00e9mentaire pourrait all\u00e9ger ces fardeaux et mieux pr\u00e9parer les mentores et mentors avant chaque s\u00e9ance. Enfin, bien que plusieurs mentores et mentors ont acquis des comp\u00e9tences en leadership et en animation, plusieurs ont estim\u00e9 qu\u2019elles avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 acquises par essais et erreurs plut\u00f4t que du fait de leur conception. La premi\u00e8re cohorte a re\u00e7u 946&nbsp;candidatures pour 39&nbsp;places initiales. Bien que la capacit\u00e9 ait \u00e9t\u00e9 port\u00e9e \u00e0 80&nbsp;places, cela met en \u00e9vidence un probl\u00e8me v\u00e9cu lors de plusieurs projets financ\u00e9s par le Centre des Comp\u00e9tences futures&nbsp;: la demande d\u00e9passe consid\u00e9rablement la capacit\u00e9. Les responsables politiques devraient envisager un moyen d\u2019assouplir les ententes de financement si les programmes montrent qu\u2019un certain seuil de demande a \u00e9t\u00e9 atteint. De cette fa\u00e7on, les organismes financ\u00e9s pourraient d\u00e9bloquer un pourcentage suppl\u00e9mentaire de leur entente de financement globale afin de mieux r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la demande de leur programme et aux besoins de leur communaut\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce programme a \u00e9galement montr\u00e9 qu\u2019il y a une forte demande de la part des EPE pour l\u2019apprentissage en plein air. \u00c0 l\u2019heure actuelle, les programmes d\u2019apprentissage en plein air ne sont pas r\u00e8glement\u00e9s par le gouvernement de la Colombie-Britannique et, par cons\u00e9quent, les EPE ne sont pas officiellement autoris\u00e9s \u00e0 fournir ces services.
