climatique deux fois plus rapide que la moyenne mondiale, ce qui a une incidence sur les ressources en eau et le climat r\u00e9gional. Pour suivre ces changements, un r\u00e9seau de dix tours de flux \u00e0 covariance des turbulences&nbsp;\u2013 qui permettent de suivre les gaz \u00e0 effet de serre&nbsp;\u2013 a \u00e9t\u00e9 install\u00e9 aux Territoires du Nord-Ouest. Cependant, le manque d\u2019expertise locale compromet leur entretien et, par cons\u00e9quent, les donn\u00e9es qu\u2019elles enregistrent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour relever ce d\u00e9fi, l\u2019\u00e9quipe du projet a cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 cr\u00e9er et \u00e0 mettre en \u0153uvre une formation pour que les membres des communaut\u00e9s locales participent \u00e0 l\u2019entretien et \u00e0 la surveillance des tours \u00e0 flux \u00e0 covariance des turbulences. En associant les connaissances traditionnelles autochtones aux m\u00e9thodes scientifiques modernes, le projet visait \u00e0 cr\u00e9er un mod\u00e8le durable de recherche scientifique et de gestion des infrastructures reposant sur la communaut\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Six&nbsp;participants autochtones ont \u00e9t\u00e9 form\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019exploitation ind\u00e9pendante du r\u00e9seau de tours \u00e0 flux \u00e0 covariance des turbulences dans les territoires du Nord, ce qu\u2019ils ont fait tout au long des ann\u00e9es&nbsp;2021 et 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce projet est riche d\u2019enseignements pour d\u2019autres \u00e9tablissements d\u2019enseignement qui s\u2019appuient sur la collecte de donn\u00e9es pour la surveillance du climat, notamment, dans les r\u00e9gions \u00e9loign\u00e9es et rurales du Canada. Des tours \u00e0 flux \u00e0 covariance des turbulences ont \u00e9t\u00e9 install\u00e9es aux Territoires du Nord-Ouest pour surveiller ces changements. Cependant, ces tours doivent \u00eatre entretenues par des chercheurs universitaires. Le manque d\u2019expertise locale aux Territoires du Nord-Ouest a mis en p\u00e9ril leur entretien, en particulier pendant les restrictions sur les d\u00e9placements impos\u00e9es par la COVID-19, ce qui a compromis la capacit\u00e9 des chercheurs \u00e0 suivre les tendances au fil du temps et les r\u00e9percussions qui en d\u00e9coulent. Il avait pour objectif de prot\u00e9ger l\u2019infrastructure de recherche canadienne et de r\u00e9duire la d\u00e9pendance aux experts externes gr\u00e2ce au partage et \u00e0 la gestion de connaissances collectives. En outre, il devait favoriser la cr\u00e9ation et la gestion conjointes de connaissances par les membres de la communaut\u00e9 et des experts, afin de combler le foss\u00e9 dans la compr\u00e9hension des r\u00e9percussions anthropiques sur les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes r\u00e9gionaux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9quipe du projet a recrut\u00e9 et form\u00e9 des membres de la communaut\u00e9, en leur fournissant les connaissances th\u00e9oriques et les comp\u00e9tences pratiques n\u00e9cessaires sur les techniques de mesure m\u00e9t\u00e9orologique ainsi qu\u2019un plan d\u2019entretien des infrastructures. La formation comprenait&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>des conf\u00e9rences virtuelles d\u2019introduction donn\u00e9es par les partenaires universitaires et sectoriels;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>un cours de formation pratique de 10&nbsp;jours anim\u00e9 par un technicien en microm\u00e9t\u00e9orologie exp\u00e9riment\u00e9 bas\u00e9 \u00e0 Yellowknife;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>une formation locale sur les outils de communication num\u00e9rique, la protection contre les chutes et le secourisme en milieu sauvage;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>des visites des tours \u00e0 flux \u00e0 covariance des turbulences dirig\u00e9es par un instructeur avec des stagiaires de la communaut\u00e9 la plus proche de chaque tour pour leur pr\u00e9senter la logistique propre au site, les protocoles de sant\u00e9 et de s\u00e9curit\u00e9, et la configuration des instruments;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>l\u2019\u00e9laboration et la mise en \u0153uvre d\u2019un plan d\u2019entretien des tours \u00e0 flux \u00e0 covariance des turbulences dirig\u00e9 par la communaut\u00e9 pour 2021-2022 et au-del\u00e0 (l\u2019\u00e9laboration a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e en consultation avec le technicien en microm\u00e9t\u00e9orologie, les stagiaires et les partenaires universitaires et gouvernementaux).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 des difficult\u00e9s telles qu\u2019un feu de for\u00eat en fin de saison et les points de vue diff\u00e9rents de certains partenaires autochtones, les partenaires du projet ont \u00e9labor\u00e9 du mat\u00e9riel didactique, particip\u00e9 \u00e0 des conf\u00e9rences scientifiques et produit des vid\u00e9os promotionnelles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"what-were-learning\" class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-anchor-point\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column gradient-top purple is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"TheResult\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-240819\" style=\"width: 24px;height: 24px;margin-right: 10px;position: relative;top: -2px\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Fill-1-1.svg\" alt=\"\"> Ce que nous apprenons<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Le projet de renforcement des capacit\u00e9s a permis de former six stagiaires autochtones \u00e0 l\u2019exploitation ind\u00e9pendante du r\u00e9seau de tours \u00e0 flux \u00e0 covariance des turbulences dans les territoires du Nord. Ces stagiaires ont maintenu le r\u00e9seau tout au long des ann\u00e9es&nbsp;2021 et 2022 en utilisant leur expertise microm\u00e9t\u00e9orologique locale nouvellement acquise, ce qui d\u00e9montre le succ\u00e8s \u00e0 court terme du projet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Int\u00e9gration du savoir traditionnel et les m\u00e9thodes scientifiques occidentales. <\/strong><br>Le projet a efficacement associ\u00e9 le savoir traditionnel autochtone aux techniques scientifiques modernes, en favorisant la mobilisation communautaire \u00e9largie et en am\u00e9liorant le caract\u00e8re inclusif de la recherche. Cette approche a permis de constituer une base de connaissances plus \u00e9quitable et de faciliter la participation active des membres des communaut\u00e9s locales \u00e0 la d\u00e9finition des programmes de recherche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u00c9tablissement de r\u00e9seaux qui perdurent au-del\u00e0 de la dur\u00e9e du projet. <\/strong><br>Le succ\u00e8s du projet a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9termin\u00e9 par la participation continue des stagiaires apr\u00e8s le projet et, plus particuli\u00e8rement, leur croissance professionnelle et leur contribution continue au domaine. Le projet a eu une incidence positive sur les perspectives de carri\u00e8re des participants, en encourageant la collaboration et en cr\u00e9ant un r\u00e9seau soutenant l\u2019innovation. Le syst\u00e8me de surveillance des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes joue un r\u00f4le important dans la compr\u00e9hension des changements qui se produisent et dans la prise de d\u00e9cisions \u00e9clair\u00e9es au sujet des strat\u00e9gies visant \u00e0 att\u00e9nuer les effets n\u00e9gatifs. Les communaut\u00e9s autochtones poss\u00e8dent une expertise locale essentielle pour comprendre les effets des changements climatiques, mais l\u2019absence de ces connaissances locales au sein du syst\u00e8me de surveillance scientifique menace la continuit\u00e9 de ces mesures importantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce projet est riche d\u2019enseignements pour les \u00e9tablissements d\u2019enseignement postsecondaire et de recherche qui s\u2019appuient sur des infrastructures physiques dans des r\u00e9gions \u00e9loign\u00e9es ou rurales pour recueillir des donn\u00e9es. Ces \u00e9tablissements devraient chercher \u00e0 \u00e9tablir des partenariats avec les communaut\u00e9s autochtones&nbsp;\u2013 qui sont les plus touch\u00e9es par les changements dans l\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me et qui d\u00e9tiennent des connaissances traditionnelles sur l\u2019\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me&nbsp;\u2013 pour assumer la responsabilit\u00e9 et l\u2019intendance de l\u2019infrastructure elle-m\u00eame. Il est essentiel que les communaut\u00e9s autochtones b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient de ces ententes, tant \u00e0 court qu\u2019\u00e0 long terme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ce projet soutient l\u2019investissement dans le renforcement des capacit\u00e9s et le d\u00e9veloppement des comp\u00e9tences des communaut\u00e9s locales, qui sont essentiels \u00e0 la viabilit\u00e9 \u00e0 long terme des infrastructures physiques dans ces r\u00e9gions.
