d\u00e9fis pendant la pand\u00e9mie de&nbsp;COVID-19. Sur fond d\u2019une hausse de la demande de personnes de m\u00e9tier suivant la reprise du travail, les personnes qui venaient d\u2019entamer leur carri\u00e8re dans les m\u00e9tiers ont eu des difficult\u00e9s \u00e0 terminer leur apprentissage et \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre aux exigences du secteur. Pour r\u00e9pondre aux besoins du march\u00e9 du travail local, l\u2019\u00e9quipe du Murphy Centre a cr\u00e9\u00e9 le programme SOAR (Skills, Explore, Achieve, Revive) qui propose des services de tutorat et d\u2019accompagnement gratuits et accessibles afin de favoriser le maintien en poste et la progression professionnelle des personnes de m\u00e9tier en d\u00e9but de carri\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">Ce projet a soulign\u00e9 la forte demande de services d\u2019accompagnement et d\u2019autres soutiens en sant\u00e9 mentale pour am\u00e9liorer le bien-\u00eatre g\u00e9n\u00e9ral et la r\u00e9silience des personnes de m\u00e9tier et, par cons\u00e9quent, leur progression et leur maintien dans les postes de m\u00e9tiers qualifi\u00e9s. Lorsque le travail a repris et la demande de personnes de m\u00e9tier a augment\u00e9, les personnes de m\u00e9tier en d\u00e9but de carri\u00e8re ont eu du mal \u00e0 terminer leurs apprentissages, tout en r\u00e9pondant aux exigences du secteur. Les \u00e9tablissements d\u2019enseignement offrant une formation dans les m\u00e9tiers souhaitaient garder les \u00e9tudiants qui risquaient d\u2019\u00eatre cong\u00e9di\u00e9s et les employeurs souhaitaient maintenir en poste les travailleurs qui risquaient un licenciement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les soutiens existants, souvent offerts aux personnes de m\u00e9tier par l\u2019entremise de leur employeur ou de leur syndicat, ont leurs limites. Ces soutiens peuvent \u00eatre co\u00fbteux, inaccessibles ou insuffisants pour pallier les lacunes en formation et surmonter les obstacles&nbsp;\u2013&nbsp;comme les probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale&nbsp;\u2013&nbsp;ce qui peut borner la r\u00e9ussite des travailleurs. Selon des \u00e9tudes, les personnes des m\u00e9tiers qualifi\u00e9s, en particulier dans le secteur de la construction, sont plus susceptibles d\u2019avoir des probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale, comme l\u2019\u00e9puisement professionnel et les id\u00e9es suicidaires, en raison des longues heures de travail, des d\u00e9lais serr\u00e9s, de l\u2019incertitude de l\u2019emploi, des pressions financi\u00e8res et de l\u2019obligation de travailler loin de chez soi. Ces \u00e9tudes soulignent qu\u2019au sein de ce secteur, les probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale et la recherche de soutien sont per\u00e7us comme une faiblesse personnelle. Il a incit\u00e9 un r\u00e9seau de syndicats de m\u00e9tiers, d\u2019\u00e9tablissements de formation et d\u2019organismes communautaires \u00e0 cr\u00e9er le projet <em>Skills, Explore, Achieve, Revive<\/em> (SOAR) et \u00e0 combler ainsi la demande de personnes de m\u00e9tier qualifi\u00e9es sur le march\u00e9 du travail local.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le projet SOAR visait \u00e0 fournir des services de soutien gratuits, comme la pr\u00e9paration aux examens, le tutorat en math\u00e9matiques, l\u2019orientation professionnelle et l\u2019accompagnement personnel aux apprentis et aux personnes de m\u00e9tier en d\u00e9but de carri\u00e8re, dans l\u2019espoir de favoriser leur progression professionnelle et leur maintien dans le secteur des m\u00e9tiers qualifi\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le projet SOAR \u00e9tait propos\u00e9 aux r\u00e9sidents de Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador qui souhaitaient explorer des carri\u00e8res dans le secteur des m\u00e9tiers qualifi\u00e9s, qui \u00e9taient actuellement inscrits \u00e0 une formation en m\u00e9tiers qualifi\u00e9s ou qui \u00e9taient employ\u00e9s dans le secteur des m\u00e9tiers qualifi\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"what-were-learning\" class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-anchor-point\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column gradient-top purple is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"TheResult\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-240819\" style=\"width: 24px;height: 24px;margin-right: 10px;position: relative;top: -2px\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Fill-1-1.svg\" alt=\"\"> Ce que nous apprenons<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre&nbsp;2020 et&nbsp;2023, l\u2019\u00e9quipe de SOAR a servi 136&nbsp;participants au programme&nbsp;: 62&nbsp;% des participants ont b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 d\u2019un accompagnement, 32&nbsp;% ont b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 d\u2019un tutorat et 6&nbsp;% des deux.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sur les 186&nbsp;personnes initialement int\u00e9ress\u00e9es par le programme SOAR, 50&nbsp;% \u00e9taient des jeunes \u00e2g\u00e9s de&nbsp;15 \u00e0 29&nbsp;ans, 34&nbsp;% \u00e9taient des femmes, 33&nbsp;% \u00e9taint des handicap\u00e9s et 31&nbsp;% \u00e9taient des personnes d\u00e9pourvues de comp\u00e9tences essentielles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sur les 22&nbsp;participants qui ont r\u00e9pondu \u00e0 un sondage apr\u00e8s le programme, 86&nbsp;% se sont d\u00e9clar\u00e9s extr\u00eamement satisfaits du soutien qu\u2019ils ont re\u00e7u. Tous ces r\u00e9pondants ont estim\u00e9 que SOAR r\u00e9pondait tr\u00e8s bien ou extr\u00eamement bien \u00e0 leurs besoins. De plus, 86&nbsp;% ont mentionn\u00e9 une forte probabilit\u00e9 de r\u00e9utiliser les services, tandis que 73&nbsp;% ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu\u2019ils \u00e9taient tr\u00e8s enclins \u00e0 recommander le programme \u00e0 d\u2019autres personnes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>D\u00e9fis li\u00e9s \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation de partenariats et au recrutement<\/strong><br>Au d\u00e9but, le recrutement des participants a \u00e9t\u00e9 plus faible en raison des difficult\u00e9s li\u00e9es \u00e0 la mise en place d\u2019un r\u00e9seau de partenaires cens\u00e9s \u00eatre les principales sources d\u2019orientation. En r\u00e9visant sa strat\u00e9gie de communication de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 la faire porter sur la promotion directe du programme aupr\u00e8s du public cible, l\u2019\u00e9quipe de SOAR a pu toucher au but. Ces efforts comprenaient des campagnes sur les m\u00e9dias sociaux, des affiches et des vid\u00e9os promotionnelles. D\u2019autres fournisseurs de services ont \u00e9galement fait des renvois au programme. Les liens avec ces derniers ont entra\u00een\u00e9 des changements dans les services offerts afin de r\u00e9duire les chevauchements et les renvois en vue de services d\u00e9passant la surface d\u2019action des partenaires du projet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Besoins complexes<\/strong><br>De nombreux participants qui ont pris part au projet SOAR ont eu besoin d\u2019un soutien intense, n\u00e9cessitant une \u00e9valuation des besoins et des plans individualis\u00e9s. Les participants pr\u00e9sentaient des troubles d\u2019apprentissage, des ann\u00e9es de traumatisme, des \u00e9pisodes de stress professionnel ou financier, des probl\u00e8mes interpersonnels, de l\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9, de la d\u00e9pression, des d\u00e9pendances et une ins\u00e9curit\u00e9 li\u00e9e au logement. Bon nombre de ces probl\u00e8mes n\u00e9cessitaient beaucoup plus de temps que pr\u00e9vu, de sorte que les partenaires du projet ont r\u00e9duit l\u2019orientation professionnelle (qui \u00e9tait \u00e9galement propos\u00e9e par d\u2019autres partenaires) et se sont attard\u00e9s sur l\u2019offre de services d\u2019accompagnement plus personnels. Les s\u00e9ances d\u2019accompagnement psychologique offraient aux participants un espace s\u00fbr pour \u00e9changer au sujet de leur vie professionnelle, de leur formation ou de probl\u00e8mes personnels influant sur leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 suivre la formation ou \u00e0 accomplir leur travail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tutorat sp\u00e9cifique au m\u00e9tier<\/strong><br>\u00c0 l\u2019origine, les services de tutorat avaient pour but d\u2019assurer un soutien scolaire aux \u00e9tudiants, y compris aux apprentis, qui avaient du mal \u00e0 r\u00e9ussir leurs examens et \u00e0 passer aux niveaux sup\u00e9rieurs de leur apprentissage. Le partenaire du projet s\u2019attendait que les \u00e9tablissements de formation r\u00e9v\u00e8lent leurs programmes d\u2019\u00e9tudes afin que la conception du tutorat SOAR se concentre sur des sujets de formation pr\u00e9cis. Cependant, les \u00e9tablissements de formation partenaires du r\u00e9seau \u00e9taient r\u00e9ticents \u00e0 partager leurs propres programmes de formation, craignant que l\u2019information ne serve \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation de programmes concurrents. Ce projet s\u2019est efforc\u00e9 d\u2019appuyer le maintien et la progression des travailleurs dans les m\u00e9tiers qualifi\u00e9s en les \u00e9paulant tout au long de leur apprentissage et en leur fournissant un accompagnement personnel pour att\u00e9nuer les probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale et de bien-\u00eatre qui entravent leur travail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toutefois, ce projet met en \u00e9vidence la complexit\u00e9 du travail intersectoriel, m\u00eame en pr\u00e9sence d\u2019entente sur un but commun, \u00e0 savoir le maintien et la progression des travailleurs dans les m\u00e9tiers qualifi\u00e9s. Les employeurs, les syndicats et les \u00e9tablissements de formation doivent cr\u00e9er conjointement des solutions avec les organismes de services communautaires plut\u00f4t que de se contenter de recenser les probl\u00e8mes.
