class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">La pand\u00e9mie de COVID-19 a r\u00e9duit les possibilit\u00e9s de r\u00e9seautage et a augment\u00e9 les d\u00e9fis pour les professionnels nouvellement arriv\u00e9s \u00e0 Terre-Neuve. L\u2019Association for New Canadians (ANC) a cr\u00e9\u00e9 le Newcomer Employment Resilience Network (NERN) pour relever ces d\u00e9fis et combler les lacunes en mati\u00e8re de soutien aux nouveaux arrivants qui subissent des perturbations dans leur emploi et aux employeurs qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 contraints de modifier leur mode de fonctionnement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sur une p\u00e9riode de deux ans, de 2021 \u00e0 2023, l\u2019\u00e9quipe de l\u2019ANC a fait participer 167&nbsp;nouveaux arrivants et 115&nbsp;employeurs et entreprises locaux \u00e0 36&nbsp;s\u00e9ances et ateliers sectoriels et a mis en relation 49&nbsp;professionnels nouveaux arrivants avec des mentors dans des secteurs pertinents. Dans l\u2019ensemble, 87&nbsp;% des mentor\u00e9s ont estim\u00e9 que le programme avait r\u00e9pondu \u00e0 leurs attentes ou les avait d\u00e9pass\u00e9es, notamment en ce qui concerne l\u2019am\u00e9lioration des comp\u00e9tences en mati\u00e8re de recherche d\u2019emploi et la connaissance de la culture du monde du travail au Canada. Quant aux employeurs et aux entreprises locales, 90&nbsp;% d\u2019entre eux ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu\u2019ils connaissaient et comprenaient mieux les professionnels nouvellement arriv\u00e9s et leurs comp\u00e9tences. Toutefois, seuls 30&nbsp;% ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que l\u2019embauche de professionnels qualifi\u00e9s nouvellement arriv\u00e9s \u00e9tait un r\u00e9sultat important de la participation au programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">Le projet a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 comment les r\u00e9seaux sectoriels peuvent am\u00e9liorer les perspectives d\u2019emploi des nouveaux arrivants et favoriser la collaboration entre les employeurs et les entreprises locales. L\u2019absence d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nements en personne et la fermeture de lieux de travail physiques ont rendu difficile l\u2019\u00e9tablissement de liens entre les personnes \u00e0 la recherche d\u2019un emploi et les recruteurs, les employeurs et les experts du secteur. Constatant un manque de soutien aux nouveaux arrivants qui subissaient des perturbations sur le march\u00e9 du travail et aux employeurs qui \u00e9taient contraints de modifier leur mode de fonctionnement, l\u2019\u00e9quipe de l\u2019ANC a propos\u00e9 la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019un r\u00e9seau de r\u00e9silience pour l\u2019emploi des nouveaux arrivants (Newcomer Employment Resilience Network \u2013 NERN).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le NERN a v\u00e9rifi\u00e9 s\u2019il \u00e9tait possible d\u2019am\u00e9liorer les possibilit\u00e9s d\u2019emploi pour les nouveaux arrivants tout en aidant les entreprises locales \u00e0 s\u2019adapter \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9volution des conditions gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la collaboration et au partage des connaissances. Au total, 167&nbsp;professionnels primo-arrivants et 115&nbsp;employeurs locaux, entreprises et experts industriels de 65&nbsp;soci\u00e9t\u00e9s de trois secteurs (informatique, ressources et finance) ont particip\u00e9 entre le 5&nbsp;mars 2021 et le 31&nbsp;mars 2023.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De ce groupe, 49&nbsp;nouveaux arrivants ont \u00e9t\u00e9 jumel\u00e9s \u00e0 49&nbsp;mentors pendant trois mois, et tous ont soit termin\u00e9 le mentorat de trois mois, soit trouv\u00e9 un emploi avant la fin du jumelage. 87&nbsp;% des nouveaux arrivants interrog\u00e9s ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que le programme avait r\u00e9pondu \u00e0 leurs attentes ou les avait d\u00e9pass\u00e9es. Les avantages qu\u2019ils en ont retir\u00e9s sont notamment d\u2019en savoir plus sur les techniques de recherche d\u2019emploi, sur la culture du lieu de travail canadien et sur les possibilit\u00e9s de perfectionnement. Pour certaines personnes interrog\u00e9es, le programme de mentorat les a aid\u00e9es \u00e0 obtenir des entretiens et des emplois.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour les principaux employeurs et entreprises locaux qui ont particip\u00e9 au r\u00e9seau, 90&nbsp;% ont estim\u00e9 que leur connaissance et leur compr\u00e9hension des professionnels nouvellement arriv\u00e9s et de leurs comp\u00e9tences s\u2019\u00e9taient am\u00e9lior\u00e9es.
