Le Trucking Human Resources Sector Council Atlantic (THRSCA) a men\u00e9 un projet pilote pour d\u00e9terminer l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 de l\u2019utilisation d\u2019un simulateur de formation en r\u00e9alit\u00e9 virtuelle portable (SFRV) pour am\u00e9liorer les comp\u00e9tences des chauffeurs routiers professionnels exp\u00e9riment\u00e9s, ainsi que pour former les nouveaux chauffeurs. Les r\u00e9sultats vis\u00e9s par le projet \u00e9taient les suivants :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Am\u00e9liorer la r\u00e9tention des conducteurs en milieu de carri\u00e8re, des conducteurs plus \u00e2g\u00e9s et des groupes sous-repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Augmenter les niveaux de recrutement dans le secteur.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Am\u00e9liorer la productivit\u00e9 des conducteurs d\u00e8s aujourd\u2019hui.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pr\u00e9parer la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre aux futures avanc\u00e9es technologiques.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">L\u2019\u00e9valuation a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que le projet pilote avait permis d\u2019atteindre les objectifs fix\u00e9s malgr\u00e9 la pand\u00e9mie. La technologie SFRV a \u00e9t\u00e9 un outil pr\u00e9cieux pour la r\u00e9tention, le recrutement et la formation des conducteurs. Les donn\u00e9es et les commentaires des participants, des formateurs et des employeurs sugg\u00e8rent que la formation \u00e0 la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 virtuelle pourrait am\u00e9liorer les comp\u00e9tences des conducteurs et attirer les jeunes conducteurs au niveau national. Ce projet stimule la r\u00e9flexion sur la mani\u00e8re d\u2019inciter les employeurs et la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre \u00e0 investir dans la formation et le d\u00e9veloppement des comp\u00e9tences, en particulier dans les secteurs qui connaissent de fortes p\u00e9nuries de main-d\u2019\u0153uvre. Le projet encourage \u00e9galement les \u00e9ducateurs et les formateurs \u00e0 envisager d\u2019inclure des aides suppl\u00e9mentaires pour la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre plus \u00e2g\u00e9e afin de tirer le meilleur parti des solutions de formation \u00e0 la RV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group key-insights-grey has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"background-color:#0000000d\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Perspectives Cl\u00e9s<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px;margin-right: 16px\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No.svg\" alt=\"\">Le recrutement pour les programmes de formation dans les industries qui connaissent de fortes p\u00e9nuries de main-d\u2019\u0153uvre est tr\u00e8s difficile, car la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre doit s\u2019arr\u00eater de travailler pour y participer. Malgr\u00e9 l\u2019objectif de 150 stagiaires, 69 participants ont suivi la formation de conducteur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px;margin-right: 16px\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No-1.svg\" alt=\"\">Les jeunes conducteurs, dont beaucoup \u00e9taient habitu\u00e9s aux milieux immersifs des jeux, ont appr\u00e9ci\u00e9 la formation, tandis que beaucoup de conducteurs plus \u00e2g\u00e9s ont eu des naus\u00e9es lors de l\u2019utilisation de la SFRV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px;margin-right: 16px\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No-2.svg\" alt=\"\">Tous les participants aux sessions de formation des formateurs ont pu obtenir l\u2019accr\u00e9ditation de formateur iMVR \u00e0 la fin de la session.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"the-issue\" class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-anchor-point\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column gradient-top purple is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"TheChallenge\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-240812\" style=\"width: 12px;height: 24px;margin-right: 10px;position: relative;top: -2px\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Vector-2.svg\" alt=\"\"> L\u2019enjeu<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group flex-print is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>Le secteur du transport routier est confront\u00e9 \u00e0 une p\u00e9nurie de chauffeurs professionnels\u2009; on estime \u00e0 10 000 le nombre d\u2019emplois non pourvus dans ce secteur rien qu\u2019au Canada atlantique. Cette p\u00e9nurie a un impact consid\u00e9rable sur le secteur du transport routier et sur l\u2019\u00e9conomie dans son ensemble. Il est tout aussi important de concentrer les efforts sur le maintien de la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre existante. L\u2019un des d\u00e9fis de ce dernier est que jusqu\u2019\u00e0 50 % des travailleurs \u00e2g\u00e9s et exp\u00e9riment\u00e9s du secteur font preuve d\u2019un niveau inf\u00e9rieur de comp\u00e9tences essentielles et d\u2019une r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 l\u2019utilisation croissante de la technologie dans l\u2019ensemble du secteur des transports. Il a \u00e9galement explor\u00e9 les m\u00e9thodes de formation \u00e9mergentes et exemplaires pour l\u2019utilisation de la SFRV aupr\u00e8s de diverses populations, en particulier les travailleurs \u00e2g\u00e9s, d\u2019une mani\u00e8re qui favorise des styles d\u2019apprentissage vari\u00e9s. L\u2019un des objectifs secondaires du projet \u00e9tait de d\u00e9terminer si ces petites unit\u00e9s offraient une formation efficace et abordable, non seulement pour les \u00e9coles de camionnage, mais aussi pour les entreprises de camionnage elles-m\u00eames, afin qu\u2019elles puissent l\u2019utiliser en interne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La COVID-19 a perturb\u00e9 le projet en provoquant des p\u00e9nuries de conducteurs et en retardant les sessions de formation et la collecte de donn\u00e9es. Le THRSCA a obtenu une prolongation du projet, a ajust\u00e9 la conception du projet pilote et a continu\u00e9 \u00e0 recruter et \u00e0 \u00e9valuer les conducteurs. Le projet pilote a repris \u00e0 l\u2019automne 2022 pour \u00e9valuer la technologie SFRV en tant qu\u2019outil de formation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"what-were-learning\" class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-anchor-point\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column gradient-top purple is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"TheResult\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-240819\" style=\"width: 24px;height: 24px;margin-right: 10px;position: relative;top: -2px\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Fill-1-1.svg\" alt=\"\"> Ce que nous apprenons<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Sept participants ont pris part aux sessions de formation des formateurs, avec un m\u00e9lange d\u2019hommes et de femmes. 69 participants ont suivi la formation de conducteur. 96 % des participants \u00e0 la formation de conducteur se sont identifi\u00e9s comme \u00e9tant des hommes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Mod\u00e8le de formation des formateurs pour favoriser l\u2019adoption des nouvelles technologies<\/strong><br>Les r\u00e9sultats de l\u2019\u00e9valuation du processus de formation des formateurs (bas\u00e9s sur un examen des documents et l\u2019observation des sessions de formation) ont montr\u00e9 que la formation \u00e0 l\u2019iMVR \u00e9tait r\u00e9ussie et efficace, tous les participants ayant pu obtenir l\u2019accr\u00e9ditation de formateur de l\u2019iMVR \u00e0 la fin de la session. Les participants ont \u00e9galement formul\u00e9 des suggestions d\u2019am\u00e9lioration pour l\u2019avenir, notamment en ce qui concerne l\u2019espace appropri\u00e9 pour organiser les sessions de formation des formateurs et la taille r\u00e9duite des classes. Les participants ont demand\u00e9 que le manuel soit plus d\u00e9taill\u00e9 et comprenne des photos pour le rendre plus facile \u00e0 suivre, ainsi qu\u2019une FAQ ou un script de d\u00e9pannage et une assistance technique pour les aider en cas de probl\u00e8mes techniques pendant l\u2019\u00e9valuation et la mise en place de la formation SFRV. Enfin, ils ont propos\u00e9 que la formation comprenne un module sur la mani\u00e8re d\u2019enseigner dans un environnement immersif et de faire face aux d\u00e9fis physiques que certains participants pourraient rencontrer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>La r\u00e9alit\u00e9 virtuelle au service de l\u2019am\u00e9lioration des comp\u00e9tences<\/strong><br>L\u2019\u00e9valuation de la formation des conducteurs a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 qu\u2019elle a \u00e9t\u00e9 couronn\u00e9e de succ\u00e8s pour de nombreux conducteurs, en particulier les nouveaux arrivants et les jeunes. La formation a \u00e9t\u00e9 utile pour apprendre \u00e0 conduire dans un contexte canadien et \u00e0 un rythme confortable. Les unit\u00e9s SFRV se sont \u00e9galement r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9es \u00eatre un outil d\u2019\u00e9valuation utile pour d\u00e9terminer les lacunes en mati\u00e8re de comp\u00e9tences et d\u00e9velopper des formations pour aider \u00e0 combler ces lacunes. Il a \u00e9galement permis au personnel d\u2019assistance de comprendre ce que les conducteurs subissent dans leur travail et d\u2019adapter ses propres attentes et sa communication en cons\u00e9quence. Presque toutes les entreprises utilisant la formation des conducteurs SFRV ont choisi de continuer \u00e0 l\u2019utiliser comme outil d\u2019\u00e9valuation et d\u2019am\u00e9lioration des comp\u00e9tences de leurs conducteurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La formation des conducteurs \u00e0 l\u2019aide du SFRV a pos\u00e9 quelques probl\u00e8mes li\u00e9s au mal des transports, en particulier pour les participants plus \u00e2g\u00e9s et les non-joueurs. Les formateurs qui \u00e9taient des joueurs ou qui connaissaient bien les milieux immersifs ont aid\u00e9 les participants \u00e0 mieux faire face \u00e0 la situation. Les participants ont souhait\u00e9 plus de flexibilit\u00e9 dans la planification des sessions de formation afin de leur laisser suffisamment de temps pour s\u2019adapter \u00e0 la technologie. Il peut \u00e9galement accro\u00eetre l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 et la productivit\u00e9 de la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre, car les conducteurs peuvent apprendre et s\u2019exercer dans un cadre s\u00e9curitaire et r\u00e9aliste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cependant, le recrutement des participants \u00e0 ce projet a entrav\u00e9 sa r\u00e9ussite. En raison de la forte p\u00e9nurie de main-d\u2019\u0153uvre dans le secteur, trop peu de personnes \u00e9taient int\u00e9ress\u00e9es par l\u2019utilisation des heures de travail \u00e0 d\u2019autres fins que l\u2019ex\u00e9cution des t\u00e2ches quotidiennes. Ce d\u00e9fi s\u2019\u00e9tend \u00e0 tous les secteurs et \u00e0 toutes les industries, et de nombreux partenaires du Centre des Comp\u00e9tences futures rencontrent des obstacles similaires.
