(ACT !) \u00e9tait un programme de six mois permettant \u00e0 des jeunes autistes de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d\u2019une formation et d\u2019un placement r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9 dans des postes de gestion de donn\u00e9es de niveau d\u00e9butant. Par le biais d\u2019entretiens, ce projet a cherch\u00e9 \u00e0 mieux comprendre les exp\u00e9riences professionnelles des participants au programme ACT !, l\u2019impact des politiques de revenu garanti sur les r\u00e9sultats des participants en mati\u00e8re d\u2019emploi, et le rendement social global de l\u2019investissement du programme ACT ! lui-m\u00eame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parmi les conclusions de l\u2019\u00e9tude figurent la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de sensibiliser davantage les superviseurs et les cadres aux strat\u00e9gies permettant de travailler efficacement avec les jeunes autistes, le d\u00e9sir de flexibilit\u00e9 au niveau de l\u2019emploi et des horaires compte tenu du manque d\u2019infrastructures sociales de soutien, telles que les transports et le logement, et les obstacles que les politiques de garantie de revenus posent aux jeunes autistes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color\">Les employeurs qui se tournent vers la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre neurodivergente pour combler les lacunes du march\u00e9 du travail doivent d\u2019abord s\u2019informer sur la mani\u00e8re de soutenir efficacement ces professionnels et envisager de modifier les politiques sur le lieu de travail afin de garantir la r\u00e9ussite et l\u2019\u00e9panouissement de ces personnes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group key-insights-grey has-background is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"background-color:#0000000d\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Perspective Cl\u00e9<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-default is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px;margin-right: 16px\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No.svg\" alt=\"\">Les jeunes atteints d\u2019autisme s\u2019\u00e9panouissent dans des environnements de travail favorables, pr\u00e9visibles et dot\u00e9s de politiques et de protocoles transparents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px;margin-right: 16px\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No-1.svg\" alt=\"\">De nombreux jeunes autistes interrog\u00e9s dans le cadre de ce projet ont estim\u00e9 qu\u2019ils devaient choisir entre des programmes de revenu garanti et des perspectives d\u2019emploi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-flex\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-243230\" style=\"width: 40px;margin-right: 16px\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/No-2.svg\" alt=\"\">Les chercheurs ont conclu que chaque dollar investi dans ACT ! au NorQuest College g\u00e9n\u00e8re une valeur sociale de 1,61 dollar.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"the-issue\" class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-anchor-point\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column gradient-top purple is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"TheChallenge\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-240812\" style=\"width: 12px;height: 24px;margin-right: 10px;position: relative;top: -2px\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Vector-2.svg\" alt=\"\"> L\u2019enjeu<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group flex-print is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<p>Les jeunes autistes sont confront\u00e9s \u00e0 des obstacles \u00e0 l\u2019emploi, notamment des difficult\u00e9s lors des entretiens, le d\u00e9codage de la communication sur le lieu de travail et le fait d\u2019\u00eatre supervis\u00e9s par des cadres qui comprennent mal l\u2019autisme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Autism CanTech! (ACT !) \u00e9tait un programme financ\u00e9 par Emploi et D\u00e9veloppement social Canada qui soutenait le d\u00e9veloppement de lieux de travail inclusifs et accessibles et \u00e9liminait les obstacles \u00e0 l\u2019emploi pour les jeunes autistes. Les candidats autistes retenus ont \u00e9t\u00e9 inscrits \u00e0 un programme de six mois qui les a pr\u00e9par\u00e9s \u00e0 exercer des fonctions de traitement de donn\u00e9es dans diverses entreprises de l\u2019\u00e9conomie num\u00e9rique, notamment dans les secteurs de l\u2019\u00e9ducation, de la finance, de l\u2019administration publique ou de la sant\u00e9. Le programme comprenait une formation de quatre mois et une exp\u00e9rience professionnelle r\u00e9mun\u00e9r\u00e9e de deux mois dans un poste de gestion de donn\u00e9es de niveau d\u00e9butant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De nombreux participants au programme ACT ! ont d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que les emplois existants \u00e9taient de qualit\u00e9 m\u00e9diocre : ils \u00e9taient mal pay\u00e9s, avaient des politiques de protection m\u00e9diocres, proposaient des horaires impr\u00e9visibles et des cadres non form\u00e9s. La recherche visait \u00e9galement \u00e0 mieux comprendre les dimensions des programmes de soutien au revenu pour les personnes handicap\u00e9es et leur impact sur les exp\u00e9riences professionnelles des jeunes autistes qui ont particip\u00e9 au programme ACT !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Guid\u00e9e par un comit\u00e9 consultatif, l\u2019\u00e9quipe de recherche a men\u00e9 des entretiens, des groupes de discussion et un projet de photographie et de voix avec 29 jeunes autistes participant au programme ACT ! L\u2019\u00e9quipe de recherche a \u00e9galement examin\u00e9 les donn\u00e9es administratives de 393 participants au programme ACT ! et a proc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 un examen des politiques de revenu garanti de la Colombie-Britannique, de l\u2019Alberta, de la Saskatchewan, du Manitoba et de l\u2019Ontario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En plus de ce travail qualitatif, le projet a \u00e9galement tent\u00e9 de calculer le retour social sur investissement estim\u00e9 pour le programme ACT ! en utilisant les donn\u00e9es administratives des jeunes autistes qui ont particip\u00e9 \u00e0 ACT ! d\u2019avril 2021 \u00e0 janvier 2023.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"what-were-learning\" class=\"wp-block-ob-blocks-anchor-point\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column gradient-top purple is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color\" id=\"TheResult\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-240819\" style=\"width: 24px;height: 24px;margin-right: 10px;position: relative;top: -2px\" src=\"https:\/\/fsc-ccf.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Fill-1-1.svg\" alt=\"\">Ce que nous apprenons<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Les participants d\u2019ACT ! interrog\u00e9s dans le cadre de ce projet appr\u00e9cient la s\u00e9curit\u00e9, les prestations de sant\u00e9 et les salaires r\u00e9guliers, tout en souhaitant une certaine flexibilit\u00e9 dans le nombre d\u2019heures quotidiennes et la possibilit\u00e9 d\u2019organiser les horaires en fonction des besoins. Les jeunes interrog\u00e9s ont soulev\u00e9 plusieurs questions sur les \u00e9l\u00e9ments d\u2019un travail utile, notamment sur le r\u00f4le et l\u2019importance d\u2019une supervision inform\u00e9e par les autistes, d\u2019une communication transparente et concise, d\u2019environnements de travail inclusifs et de r\u00e9seaux de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 gouvernementaux ad\u00e9quats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Des superviseurs inform\u00e9s et motiv\u00e9s<br><\/strong>Les jeunes interrog\u00e9s ont d\u00e9crit l\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 qu\u2019ils ressentent lorsqu\u2019ils ne re\u00e7oivent pas d\u2019instructions claires au travail, lorsqu\u2019ils ont trop de temps sans travail ou lorsqu\u2019ils ne savent pas \u00e0 quel moment le temps sans travail est cens\u00e9 durer. L\u2019ambigu\u00eft\u00e9, le manque de transparence, le perfectionnisme et le manque d\u2019encadrement sont \u00e0 l\u2019origine de la mauvaise qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019emploi des jeunes autistes. Pour rem\u00e9dier \u00e0 cette situation, de nombreux jeunes souhaitent b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier d\u2019un mentorat important avec un superviseur comp\u00e9tent qui comprend l\u2019autisme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>L\u2019infrastructure sociale a un impact sur la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019emploi <br><\/strong>L\u2019absence de transports en commun coh\u00e9rents et fiables vers les lieux de travail cr\u00e9e un stress excessif et allonge la dur\u00e9e des trajets. Les autistes et autres professionnels handicap\u00e9s manquent de mani\u00e8re disproportionn\u00e9e de moyens de transport priv\u00e9s ind\u00e9pendants (ils ne conduisent pas et ne peuvent pas conduire). Cela a un impact sur les choix en mati\u00e8re de travail et de logement. Les options de travail \u00e0 distance et les sites de travail centralis\u00e9s qui donnent la priorit\u00e9 \u00e0 la diversit\u00e9 des transports et des logements r\u00e9duisent cet obstacle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Les programmes de revenu assur\u00e9 peuvent constituer des obstacles \u00e0 l\u2019emploi <br><\/strong>De nombreux jeunes interrog\u00e9s ont exprim\u00e9 leur crainte de perdre un revenu assur\u00e9 lorsqu\u2019ils sont employ\u00e9s, car ces politiques imposent de nombreuses restrictions aux jeunes autistes, notamment en ce qui concerne le nombre d\u2019heures travaill\u00e9es, le montant maximum des revenus, les limites \u00e0 la propri\u00e9t\u00e9 et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9pargne. Les programmes de revenu assur\u00e9 r\u00e9cup\u00e8rent \u00e9galement les revenus, ce qui dissuade les personnes autistes de trouver un emploi et de le maintenir. Toutes ces restrictions cr\u00e9ent des situations stressantes pour les jeunes autistes, car ils peuvent se sentir oblig\u00e9s de choisir entre des perspectives d\u2019emploi et le maintien de leur \u00e9ligibilit\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019aide au revenu assur\u00e9e. Plus important encore, il souligne la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 pour les employeurs d\u2019en savoir plus sur l\u2019autisme et la neurodiversit\u00e9, et de revoir les politiques du lieu de travail (c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire les prestations de sant\u00e9 et les heures de travail) pour s\u2019assurer qu\u2019elles soutiennent ces personnes dans leur r\u00f4le.
