<strong>Sommaire<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cette recherche examine la relation entre l\u2019acc\u00e8s aux prestations et la qualit\u00e9 de l\u2019emploi dans le contexte canadien actuel, en mettant l\u2019accent sur la sant\u00e9 mentale et le bien-\u00eatre, diverses formes de soins et une plus grande inclusion des personnes sans prestations. Bien que l\u2019impact et les effets \u00e0 long terme de la COVID-19 ne soient pas encore bien compris, des \u00e9tudes r\u00e9centes indiquent que les sympt\u00f4mes de sant\u00e9 mentale pr\u00e9existants se sont intensifi\u00e9s au cours de la pand\u00e9mie. En se fondant sur des \u00e9tudes sectorielles et mondiales sur la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre, l\u2019\u00e9tude sugg\u00e8re que la pr\u00e9valence de l\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9 chez les travailleurs a quadrupl\u00e9 et que la d\u00e9pression a presque tripl\u00e9. La main-d\u2019\u0153uvre a \u00e9galement subi des pressions financi\u00e8res li\u00e9es \u00e0 la pand\u00e9mie qui ont exacerb\u00e9 ces conditions. Le rapport sugg\u00e8re que le contexte actuel des prestations de sant\u00e9 et de bien-\u00eatre n\u2019est pas en mesure de relever ces d\u00e9fis. Les donn\u00e9es de l\u2019enqu\u00eate et des entretiens confirment ces observations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019absence et la nature des avantages sociaux existants compromettent la rentabilit\u00e9 des entreprises canadiennes. La sant\u00e9 mentale des travailleurs a \u00e9t\u00e9 gravement touch\u00e9e par les facteurs de stress li\u00e9s \u00e0 la pand\u00e9mie,<br>notamment la vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 accrue et les menaces pour le bien-\u00eatre, l\u2019ins\u00e9curit\u00e9 financi\u00e8re et professionnelle, l\u2019isolement social et les contraintes pesant sur la conciliation travail-vie personnelle. Bien que l\u2019impact r\u00e9el et les effets \u00e0 long terme de la COVID-19 soient encore en cours de d\u00e9couverte, des \u00e9tudes r\u00e9centes indiquent que les sympt\u00f4mes de sant\u00e9 mentale pr\u00e9existants se sont intensifi\u00e9s au cours de la pand\u00e9mie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le co\u00fbt de l\u2019absence de prise en charge de la sant\u00e9 mentale de la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre canadienne est consid\u00e9rable. La perte de productivit\u00e9 des employeurs est estim\u00e9e \u00e0 17 milliards de dollars par an. Les mod\u00e8les de prestations standardis\u00e9s ne permettent pas \u00e0 la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre d\u2019acc\u00e9der \u00e0 divers types de soins ou aux soins complets n\u00e9cessaires pour rester en bonne sant\u00e9, pr\u00e9venir les maladies et les accidents ou s\u2019en remettre compl\u00e8tement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alors que l\u2019on estime \u00e0 500\u2009000 le nombre de personnes incapables de travailler pour des raisons de sant\u00e9 mentale chaque semaine, les prestations de sant\u00e9 mentale sont indispensables pour permettre au personnel de reprendre le travail dans un milieu favorable, de travailler de mani\u00e8re productive, de tirer de la satisfaction de son travail, voire de travailler tout court. Sur plus de 500 personnes au Canada interrog\u00e9es dans le cadre de l\u2019\u00e9tude financ\u00e9e, 38 % ont pris des cong\u00e9s au cours des cinq derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es en raison de probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale, notamment le stress, l\u2019anxi\u00e9t\u00e9, la d\u00e9pression et l\u2019\u00e9puisement professionnel. Parmi les personnes interrog\u00e9es, pr\u00e8s de la moiti\u00e9 ont \u00e9t\u00e9 absentes pendant un mois ou plus. Les fournisseurs de prestations confirment que la sant\u00e9 mentale est la principale cause d\u2019absent\u00e9isme de courte dur\u00e9e et d\u2019invalidit\u00e9 de longue dur\u00e9e (ILD). En 2022, plus d\u2019un tiers des demandes d\u2019indemnisation au titre de l\u2019ILD \u00e9taient directement li\u00e9es \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 mentale.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La pand\u00e9mie a exacerb\u00e9 les probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 mentale et les tensions financi\u00e8res, qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 aggrav\u00e9es par les augmentations de l\u2019inflation en 2022 et 2023. Environ 62 % des r\u00e9pondants \u00e0 l\u2019enqu\u00eate ont indiqu\u00e9 que les finances \u00e9taient un facteur de stress important qui affectait leur sant\u00e9 mentale. Lorsqu\u2019on leur a demand\u00e9 de pr\u00e9ciser leurs facteurs de stress financier, pr\u00e8s de la moiti\u00e9 (48 %) ont indiqu\u00e9 que leurs revenus \u00e9taient insuffisants pour faire face \u00e0 l\u2019augmentation du co\u00fbt de la vie, et pr\u00e8s d\u2019un tiers (30 %) se sont inqui\u00e9t\u00e9s de l\u2019insuffisance de leur \u00e9pargne-retraite.
