Pourtant, lors d\u2019un r\u00e9cent webinaire du Centre des Comp\u00e9tences futures, des leaders de la sant\u00e9 ont lanc\u00e9 un message d\u2019espoir : des solutions concr\u00e8tes et innovantes font d\u00e9j\u00e0 leurs preuves sur le terrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cet \u00e9change a rassembl\u00e9 des experts des milieux de la sant\u00e9, de l\u2019\u00e9ducation et du d\u00e9veloppement de la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre afin de se pencher sur les moyens d\u2019optimiser le soutien au personnel soignant tout en \u00e9largissant l\u2019acc\u00e8s aux soins au Canada. Les discussions ont port\u00e9 sur un large \u00e9ventail d\u2019enjeux, allant de l\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9ration de la reconnaissance des comp\u00e9tences des professionnels form\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger aux nouvelles approches en mati\u00e8re de formation, de simulation, d\u2019intelligence artificielle (IA) et de planification de la main-d\u2019\u0153uvre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lors de l\u2019ouverture du webinaire, la Dr(e) Wendy Cukier a bross\u00e9 un tableau des pressions g\u00e9n\u00e9ralis\u00e9es qui p\u00e8sent sur le syst\u00e8me de sant\u00e9, qu\u2019il s\u2019agisse des temps d\u2019attente aux urgences ou des d\u00e9fis propres aux soins de longue dur\u00e9e et \u00e0 domicile. Elle a soulign\u00e9 la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 d\u2019adopter des approches plus souples et modernes en mati\u00e8re de formation en sant\u00e9, notamment par le biais de l\u2019apprentissage modulaire, de la formation en ligne et de l\u2019apprentissage int\u00e9gr\u00e9 au travail, afin d\u2019aider le personnel \u00e0 rehausser ses comp\u00e9tences plus rapidement et efficacement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr(e) Cukier a \u00e9galement soulign\u00e9 le r\u00f4le croissant de l\u2019IA et des outils num\u00e9riques en sant\u00e9. Elle a toutefois fait remarquer que si le Canada figure parmi les chefs de file du d\u00e9veloppement de nouvelles technologies, leur adoption au sein du r\u00e9seau de la sant\u00e9 s\u2019av\u00e8re beaucoup plus lente. Des diagnostics assist\u00e9s par l\u2019IA aux assistants virtuels, en passant par la formation par simulation, elle a mis en avant la possibilit\u00e9 de tirer parti de la technologie pour optimiser les soins tout en all\u00e9geant la charge de travail du personnel soignant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Soutien aux professionnels de la sant\u00e9 dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s hors Canada<\/strong><br>Un volet majeur des discussions a \u00e9t\u00e9 consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019exp\u00e9rience des professionnels de la sant\u00e9 dipl\u00f4m\u00e9s hors Canada qui se trouvent d\u00e9j\u00e0 au pays. John Klein a expliqu\u00e9 que de nombreux membres du personnel infirmier form\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger se heurtent \u00e0 des processus d\u2019\u00e9quivalence longs, complexes et co\u00fbteux, en d\u00e9pit de leurs qualifications et de leurs ann\u00e9es d\u2019exp\u00e9rience. Gr\u00e2ce au programme d\u2019int\u00e9gration des infirmi\u00e8res form\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger (IEN Career Pathway) de SEIU Healthcare, le personnel b\u00e9n\u00e9ficie d\u2019un accompagnement personnalis\u00e9 pour cheminer plus facilement \u00e0 travers les \u00e9tapes de reconnaissance des comp\u00e9tences, de formation et d\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019emploi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Suhayl Patel a expliqu\u00e9 l\u2019approche du Bow Valley College, qui accompagne les infirmi\u00e8res et infirmiers form\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger dans leur transition vers le march\u00e9 du travail gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une formation par comp\u00e9tences et \u00e0 l\u2019apprentissage par simulation. Il a fait remarquer que si les m\u00e9canismes acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9s d\u2019octroi de permis permettent \u00e0 un plus grand nombre d\u2019infirmi\u00e8res et d\u2019infirmiers d\u2019obtenir leur droit d\u2019exercice, les employeurs ont tout de m\u00eame besoin de soutien pour pr\u00e9parer ce personnel aux r\u00e9alit\u00e9s du r\u00e9seau de la sant\u00e9 canadien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Un d\u00e9fi syst\u00e9mique<\/strong><br>Les \u00e9changes ont \u00e9galement port\u00e9 sur l\u2019importance de la r\u00e9tention du personnel, de la culture de travail et de la collaboration \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle de l\u2019ensemble du r\u00e9seau. Dr(e) Deborah Cohen, de Health Workforce Canada, a d\u00e9crit la crise du personnel de sant\u00e9 comme un d\u00e9fi qu\u2019aucune organisation ne peut relever seule. Elle a ainsi appel\u00e9 les gouvernements, les employeurs, le milieu de l\u2019enseignement, les ordres professionnels et les organisations de sant\u00e9 \u00e0 s\u2019unir pour concevoir des solutions \u00e0 long terme fond\u00e9es sur la confiance, la collaboration et des donn\u00e9es probantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>La collaboration et l\u2019innovation, cl\u00e9s de l\u2019avenir<\/strong><br>Les pan\u00e9listes ont cit\u00e9 des exemples prometteurs en Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse, au Manitoba et en Alberta, des provinces qui s\u2019efforcent d\u2019acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer les processus d\u2019\u00e9quivalence, de bonifier le soutien en milieu de travail et de faciliter l\u2019int\u00e9gration des professionnels de la sant\u00e9 form\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9tranger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tout au long du webinaire, un constat s\u2019est impos\u00e9 avec \u00e9vidence : Le Canada peut compter sur un personnel de la sant\u00e9 talentueux et pr\u00eat \u00e0 agir, mais nos r\u00e9seaux doivent \u00e9voluer plus rapidement pour mieux le soutenir.
